We stayed at Amanzi as we were attending a local family event. The hotel was well presented but some of the decor is a bit mismatch. Our room was clean and well laid out but had some odd combinations of modern and antique furniture. The mini bar was fully stocked and complimentary which was a nice touch. The water in the room was hot with good water pressure. We were unfortunately unable to have our bathroom windows open due to a frequent smell of sewage. We felt safe and welcome at Amanzi, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We ate at the restaurant one evening and the food was nice, we didn't eat again as the menu was small and very limited. Breakfast was pretty good but be aware your limited to two choices only and it is not self serve. I've never been to a hotel where the continental aspect is not self serve. Overall we would possibly stay again but feel its a little over priced for what's included. We stayed in a top lodge in Kariba for the same price.

The Hotel Staff are extremely polite and really go out of their way in making your stay pleasant. Check-in was quick and efficient, I was really impressed with the service. The breakfast buffet was delicious and they had staff assisting you with whatever you wanted. I can really say that off all the hotels I've been to, this one definitely has the best service. It's not the Hilton but the service definitely of high quality.

This definitely was a little haven set amongst a city of contrasts. Margot and her team went out of their way to ensure our stay was relaxing, enjoyable and any needs and requests were promptly and efficiently dealt with. The Lodge is set within a lush garden landscape and rooms and common areas are clean and beautifully appointed. The meals were generous, delicious and varied. This was a wonderful base from which to explore Harare and surrounding areas. We would totally recommend York Lodge to anybody making a visit to Harare

The door was not closing properly The shower runs out of hot water. Looks like a number of rooms share one geyser. If you delay to take your bath you will have to endure cold water. The RTG online booking system is perfect.

Being particular of the reception, the food, where I sleep or bath, I had been sceptic about hotels until my stay at Monomotapa Hotel. I had an amazing experience. The reception and alertness of the staff in serving clients was superb as well as the rooms’ and the surroundings’ cleanliness. I liked everything about the hotel though they needed to put remote control for aircons as it sometimes got chilly. I high recommend this splendid hotel for anyone visiting Harare, Zimbabwe.
