Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans

We had been contemplating an Andaman trip for a few years. However, we didn’t go ahead with the plan as the accommodations and facilities weren’t promising enough for our “ideal fancy holiday” randomness, which by the way, we were so wrong to assume. This we had not realised until this summer when we actually took our big step to explore the ethereal island no matter what. And, what a holiday it was! Without a second thought, we would credit our amazing holiday experience to the Taj Exotica Resort Andamans. From pick-up on Day 1 to welcoming us at the reception, room allocation, briefing on various preferred activities, local tips, drop-off at the ferry on our last day, and many other arrangements, the services were impeccable. Oh yes, they really know how to pamper their guests. Some of the little gestures which absolutely took us in awe: 1. An entourage of cheerful smiling faces welcomed us with earthly humility the moment we were seated at the reception lobby. 2. The service heads personally joined the group to welcome us giving it a very personalised experience. 3. Welcome drinks were tender coconut juice from real coconuts presented in flower-shaped handmade jute baskets. A 1000-point for the eco-friendly and creative thought! 4. A soulful welcome song (in local language) by the entourage. The song was about Andaman and the island’s beauty. 5. The ‘chilled-out’ check-in process, unlike the usual long formalities at 5-star properties. It was all done even before we realised, all while we were seated at the huge airy reception lobby sipping our coconut water. 6. When they heard that it was my bucketlist wish to do scuba on my birthday, they arranged for a special scuba diving slot despite all regular slots being full. 7. A complimentary framed photo that completely took us by surprise. They took a photo of you after your check-in process was complete. In the evening, they came and handed the photo placed inside a delicately shell-decorated frame. 8. A surprise goodbye flower bouquet by the housekeeping staff, made from flowers grown at the property garden. 9. A surprise bon-voyage cake-cutting arrangement after breakfast on the check-out day. 10. A surprise manta ray memento from the Taj as a bon voyage gift before we got into the car for our return journey. 11. And this one is our favourite and the sweetest ever: the entire staff crew dropped us at the car and bid us a heartfelt goodbye by waving with both hands and kept waving until the car was out of sight from the property. Why you must stay in Taj Andamans if you are planning for an Andaman Island(s) trip: 1. The property is built with eco-consciousness. You will find centuries-old heritage and iconic trees inside the property. 2. The property has private access to Radhanagar Beach. It pretty much feels like a private beach because no one really walks to this end of the beach from the public access area. 3. I had one of most wonderful experience at Taj Andaman!! The property as the name suggets gives an exotic experience. The high tea at beach side with the sunset is the highlight of the stay!! I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend the place if one is looking for a perfect getaway!!!!

Had the most amazing time at Taj Exotica.. The staff was extremely hospitable. Special call out to Abhishek and Manoharath for being great hosts and making us feel at home. Taj Exotica is several cuts above the rest and definitely one of the best properties we have ever holidayed in. We loved the fantastic food,the breathtaking view of the sea, the scenic pool, the clean n fabulous cottages . Overall it was a wonderful experience for the entire family and we look forward to our next stay with the Taj group of hotels.

From the moment you enter the property, the staff will do everything to make you special. From the best in class food to service and spacious rooms, its the best Taj Resort we have ever seen. Taj continues to provide the best service at all times and curates special experiences for guests. Special thanks to Rajeev, Prasenjit, Pabitra, Marina, Chef Venkatesh, Chef Arijit and Sahili (Trainee) for giving us a splendid dining experience at all meals. Special thanks for High Tea at kitchen garden and a beautiful dinner on our last day. They took special care of our coffee needs and South Indian delicacies. Special thanks for Manish (Trainee) for always taking special efforts in escorting us at all time around the property and for his friendly nature. Pooja from front desk seems to be a perfect person for this job and her joyful nature, warm smile and ability to make guests feel at home ensures our stay is comfortable from day one. At checkout, thanks to Purnima and Abhishek for not only having a smooth experience, but they even went to do our check-in for the ferry and arranged for a luggage pickup the moment we reached. The hotel has a very fit and knowledgeable lifeguard at beach Santosh and Devashish at swimming pool. At the end, all thanks goes to a very fit, charming, welcoming GM Brij. His presence lifts up the mood and he personally interacts with guests all possible times.

I loved the place the hospitality is unparalleled . The environment is so pure and clean . Food is good spa experience was fab . I enjoyed shopping at the store which is in house . Taj staff is super helpful and they make sure u have a great stay 🤗🤗👍.

I have always been a fan of taj’s hospitality and that is the reason I choose to stay with them whenever we are travelling to off beat locations. This is my fifth stay with them and the service was 10/10. However I was little disappointed with the food and I also found the activities to be a little pricy when compared to the other stays I have had in the past. I would recommend taj Andaman for their amazing villas situated amidst nature.

It was an amazing stay. The resort was great - the pool overlooking the sea, cycling around the resort and the pristine beach will all stay etched in the memory. However, it was the small things, the exceptional service which made it so special. David, arranging our pickup/drop in Port Blair, was amazingly friendly and resourceful. He even arranged an impromptu visit to the Cellular Jail at the last moment - never losing his charming smile. Abhishek at the lobby was very helpful - checking us in with the ferry services so that we could easily board the ship or shipping an item that we mistakenly left at the hotel. Overall the staff showed a lot of thought and were always happy to accommodate our demands and take care of us. A lot of tiny things were always arranged - even before we asked for them explicitly. It was a lovely stay!

Big spacious cottage, wonderful sitting and lying down options at the porch. Property is right next to the beach and the beach is the most pristine and beautiful beach imaginable. Crowd is usually a little farther down, where I am guessing is the public entrance. To the left of the private entrance you will only find a few Taj guests. Food is also really good and staff is extremely polite and helpful.

Every single minute is worth at Taj Andaman. Place is super clean, great huge comfy rooms and bathroom with excellent bathtub. Services at Taj Exotica exceeded our expectation. Lovely staff, amazing Olympic size pool. Radhanagar beach is right outside the property.
