Very close to LAX (20 min during rush hour). Nice to have gated parking ($10). As noted in other reviews, the parking garage does not have an elevator. Not the best area so would suggest not leaving anything valuable in your car. Adequate hot breakfast. Was not welcomed as a HHonors Gold member at check-in and had to remind the front desk to provide the perks (water, snack). Check out was a breeze.

Booked a 4 night stay; upon booking there was nothing written about late arrivals. We had a bit of delayed arrived a little over midnight expecting someone to be there that can help us check in. Upon our arrival the lobby was pitch black no one was in there. There’s a bell on the door and a number that we can reach out but after half an hour of standing in front of a completely dark space we decided to leave. We were basically left stranded not knowing where we can stay. After a long travel the least I would want is to be crept by the thought of having to be homeless for the night. The next morning I requested a refund on the internet platform I have used to book the hotel. We were contacted and was told that the hotel is willing to have the rest of the days refunded but not the first night. Of course we were outraged. I tried to contact the hotel. It was great that someone picked up immediately but after explaining that there was nobody to check us in that time, they questioned us and stated it was “impossible” after mentioning that I took a picture of the pitch black lobby she told us to wait as she grabs the manager but then ended up hanging up on us instead. I immediately called back but I was sent directly to voicemail. After a few trials for the next 2 hours I decided to use a different phone number to call. I was sent to voicemail but I got a call back within 2 minutes. Overall I am very disappointed with the service. The least you can do is apologize for the inconvenience it has caused us rather than just hanging up and denying the fact that there was actually no one there in the lobby. There is also cameras on the premise in front of the lobby. I hope they do check the cameras and see how lost we felt instead of claiming that there was definitely someone there on duty.

It's a mere 10-minute drive away, which made it incredibly convenient for someone like me who had to catch an early morning flight. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a nice touch. The check-in process was efficient, and the staff at the front desk were courteous and welcoming. The lobby area is clean, modern, and well-designed, creating a favorable first impression. I stayed in a standard room, and it was clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra pillows provided. The room had a decent view and was adequately spacious for a solo traveler. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with the necessary amenities. One of the highlights of my stay was the on-site restaurant, The Bistro. The food was surprisingly good, and they offered a variety of options for breakfast and dinner. The staff at the restaurant were attentive and provided excellent service. However, I found the prices a bit on the higher side. The fitness center was well-equipped, and I was able to maintain my workout routine during my stay. The hotel also has a small outdoor pool, although I didn't have the chance to use it during my stay. The only downside to my experience was the noise level in the hallways and adjacent rooms. Thin walls seemed to allow sound to carry, which made it a bit difficult to sleep when there were noisy neighbors. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connection was a bit slow at times, which could be frustrating if you're trying to get work done. Overall, the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles LAX/Hawthorne is a solid choice for travelers looking for convenience near the airport. The friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent dining options make it a comfortable place to stay. However, improvements in soundproofing and Wi-Fi speed would enhance the overall experience.

The receptionist was really nice and friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. The hotel itself is very unique with the entire hotel decorated as a old Spanish manor. We really enjoyed our stay 😊
