Room cleanliness is impeccable.Food is amazing and regards my dietary needs,gluten,lactose and egg free food was available.Staff is very friendly and professional.And a big thanks to the amazing chef.Definately recommend this hotel and all their facilities.

We booked a room with 2 beds and the Maltese balcony, for 10 nights - it was a WONDERFUL experience - even before we arrived, I had very friendly email contact with Marisa - checking details for my friend who is a bit disabled. Altogether, the room was a delight - beautifully appointed yet very historic, in the golden stonework of the Medina area. The view was wonderful, of the countryside at sunrise and through the day, and peeking down on diners on the terraces below in the evenings! The breakfasts were so generous we skipped lunch! We were blessed with hot weather so the aircon and the shower room were a real plus. But overall, the attentive and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. Thank you to everyone. Truly felt like a family experience! Loved the local vibe of the front terrace - 'PDV' is well-known and appreciated locally! A treasure.

A charming, small hotel in a beautiful and unique, historic location in Mdina at the centre of the island. The staff were lovely and helpful. Our room had a great sized bedroom, leading to a bathroom suite. There was a staircase leading to a mezzanine level with sofa, and a balcony with a hot tub where we enjoyed spectacular views of the island. The doorway to the balcony was low but not a problem. The breakfast was plentiful with pristine linens and friendly staff. The trattoria restaurant was closed during our visit and we did not dine at the Michelin starred restaurant (except for breakfast). There are some highly ranked restaurants in nearby Rabat, just a short walk away, which we enjoyed visiting very much. Overall, this is a classy and quiet hotel and we felt pleased that we decided to stay. Valletta and other coastal spots are easily reachable by bus or taxi (Uber /Bolt operate too).

I've stayed here a few times, great atmosphere, very convenient amenities and location. Great thanks to Kashif for a great welcoming attitude and friendly manner. There's a nice rooftop bar with pool table and various party nights. Would deffo come back at the next visit of Malta.

The bistro is very nice and elegant. The good attention at all times from the staff stands out, they are very cordial, helpful and always serve you with a smile on their face. Also in terms of food and drinks compared to other accommodations I visited in the same area, I notice that the level is higher, abundant and well served.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Ich bin alleine nach Malta gereist und habe mich für das Primera Hotel, als eines der günstigsten Optionen in Malta entschieden. Prinzipiell wird im Reiseführer aufgezeigt, dass man am besten in Valletta aufgehoben ist, dies würde ich allerdings so nicht bestätigen, da man von St. Paul‘s Bay 1 Stunde nach Valletta, 1 Stunde zur Fähre Richtung Gozo und eine halbe Stunde von Rabat/Mdina entfernt ist. Ausflüge wie zur Blue Grotto führen dann nur über Valletta und man ist 2 Stunden unterwegs unterwegs mit dem Bus. Allerdings kann man das ja dann mit einer Reiseroute über Valletta verbinden oder als letzten Spot vor dem Flughafen. Das Hotel war sauber, die Zimmer mehr als genug ausgestattet und für 8€ konnte vor Ort das Frühstück dazu gebucht werden, welches etwas Englisch angehaucht war, aber für jeden etwas dabei war. Das einzige, was schwierig werden könnte, ist als veganer mehr als nur Obst und Brot essen zu können.

Myself and my partner had a wonderful experience at Best Western Premier. The staff are exceptionally obliging and extremely friendly. The gentlemen working at the rooftop poolside bar couldn’t be more helpful when ordering food and drinks. We also had great fun playing pool in the evenings and talking to Brendan about rugby at the bar. We were made to feel very welcome throughout our stay and would have no issues in recommending this hotel to friends and family. Malta has been lovely and we look forward to visiting again soon!
