Amazing place and well worth short or long visit; the little huts was amazing, each one with their own balconies looking out into the savana, it is truly a unique experience. They have an amazing restaurant and pool as well which adds to the experience but the animals was so majestic and we saw all of the big 5 and that was great bit the best part of the whole place was the staff, they literally try their hardest to make your experience extra special 😀 cannot recommend this place enough, either via 4 days experience from Cape Town or staying there for few nights or even a week, would love to go back for full week of relaxation and animals. 😀

We stayed for one night with our six months old baby. It was possible to have a game drive with the baby, which is not very common according to our experiences. In addition, the location restaurant and spa offers were awesome.

Garden Route Game Lodge is stunning! The staff is exceptional, there is so much thought put into each room and the game drives are so fun. Wish I could come back and spend longer here! Highly recommend -- it is an amazing experience.

Joined a game drive as a day visitor. It rained most of the drive, but always lovely to spend time game viewing. Personally prefer free roaming facilities, but the enclosures were quite large so you almost forgot the lions and giraffe were separate to the rest. The lounge with the cosy fires is a real treat on a rainy day

Conveniently located along the garden route, the Garden Route Game Lodge is a must stop on your road trip to or from Cape Town offering a relaxing stay among gorgeous scenery and the big 5. We felt safe on the lodge at all times and the staff were all equally lovely.

A fantastic way to see the beautiful African animals. Very well organised experience right from check in to check out. Very comfortable rooms, good food and amazing trips out to see the wonderful African wildlife. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly.

The most incredible stay at The Garden Route Game Reserve. A perfect stop off on route from cape town to the garden route. We stayed two nights with our baby, and it was perfect. Everything was so well thought out - early morning coffee and rusks, game drives that aren't too long and families with kids are grouped together on trucks, breakfast afterwards which is exceptional and after the evening game drives they drop you off where there is a huge fire for roasting marshmallows and then you have a beautiful three course dinner. The pool is lovely with great views. And the massage I had in the spa was genuinely the best massage I have ever had. Honestly couldn't fault it. Also want to shout out Dane who was so knowledgeable about all the animals, and who was really lovely with our family.
