We stay here for 4 nights with a group of friends. It is not far from Interlaken West station (lee than 10 minutes walk) It has nice room, comfy bed but a little soft and fluffly pillow. The location is quite good, near supermarket and restaurants. Nice staff. Very good breakfast. It provide a lot of amenities with 2 bottles of mineral water everyday. Also have common room for guest's leisure and have some snacks.

Spiez is a pretty town and this is a pretty hotel. We travelled as a family and had two adjacent rooms. Our purpose was to take part in the triathlon in Thun and it’s very hard to get hotel rooms so we were lucky and had the last two rooms, facing the street rather than the lake, but we could go to the roof terrace to relax and enjoy the view. It was quiet and comfortable, the food was very good (the owners are Italian and Swedish) and the staff are very friendly.

This review was written by my 8-year old daughter: About this hotel: It is a family hotel. If you are a kid, the first thing they are going to do is give you a teddy bear. It has a swimming pool and a gym. The swimming pool is really cool and it has a small waterfall built into a rock. The gym is quite big itself but we didn't go there. It has a nice view and a nice hotel restaurant. The food is really good and they have a really great breakfast. You order the main food and you get to choose the side dishes from a breakfast bar. For the main food, I picked omelet - it is quite yummy but it was not salty enough. For the side dishes, I picked cereal, kiwi and juice. They were all really yummy and sweet. You should go to Dorint. I give this hotel a five star review. -- From the parents' side a few additional notes: On the negative side - There is no AC in the apartment, so while this may not matter in the summer, it was quite warm during our visit (30-35C). It cools off nicely in the evening, but there are no screens on the window, so you'll likely end up with a few moths or other bugs in the room if you leave the windows open. On the positive side, they really cater well to families - from the teddy bear at check-in to a little board game on the back of the kids menu, to the small playground area (which seemed to be good for 4-6 year olds). Usually when you think of the term ”tourist trap” you think of a restaurant or an excursion of some sort. In this case, it's a hotel. This hotel is well-situated in the heart of Interlaken (the city of which is in itself a tourist trap but that's a different review). It also has a nice name and a regal exterior. It unsurprisingly seems to attract a lot of guests (myself included) as a result. I certainly regret staying here. I spent three nights here with my wife amidst a warm week in the area. Some of the highlights: - unbelievably old rooms with old, smelly carpets and dirty, peeling wallpaper - no air conditioning, simply a cheap plastic fan stocked in the closet of every room - very shoddy cleaning service in which clothes are left lying on the floor, coffee pods are not replenished...really not much is done aside from making the bed - very condescending front desk staff, namely one gentleman in particular who was unfortunately not wearing a name tag - kind and hard working breakfast staff at the restaurant which is unfortunately quite understaffed It was strange that in just three days at the hotel we noticed a very large number of visibly dissatisfied guests. All in all I recommend not staying here.

Great location with 5 minutes walk to the railway station. The hotel provided the shuttle service so it’s very easy to get there. The most surprising thing is the hotel is actually in a famous castle. The vibe was so great! The room was big enough in Europe. There aren’t that many rooms and guests so it’s very quiet as well. The staff here also very friendly always have a smile on their faces. Last thing is try the spa if you need a relaxing time after day off, it’s very private and comfortable. That’s all, I would choose here again if one day I visit Thun again. Thank you!

We were very happy with the Hey Hotel. The staff were courteous and caring, the property was ideally located and the rooms were cool. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Interlaken is a picturesque town but Grindelwald was actually nicer and east access to Jungfraujoch. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our four night stay at this hotel. This is far from a new hotel, but it has been renovated into great shape, and it gets plenty of traffic. We loved the location of the hotel and the views from our panoramic balcony room--fantastic scenery over Thunersee and the mountains beyond. The lake boat service (including the antique paddlewheeler) makes it a very interesting locale, as does the lakeside walking path. Room was nicely updated and furnished--slippers, in-room coffee, in-room mini-fridge, safe, ice available from the bar. No bathrobes, however. I highly recommend a balcony room here because of the dramatic views of the lake. Breakfast was hearty, but not adequately restocked later in the service period. Dinner at the restaurant was pricey, but that's typical in Switzerland. Free oudoor parking nearby. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up for them!! I strongly recommend staying in the main Bellevue au Lac building. This hotel also offers rooms in an adjacent building, ”Stella del Lago by Bellevue au Lac”. At this time, I think this is an inferior property and still needs work. The Stella restaurant and terrace are currently closed, and its guests use the Bellevue au Lac restaurant facilities for breakfast and dinner.

Für unsere Wanderungen wählten wir den Gasthof Bären für eine Uebernachtung. Dieser ist gleich neben der Haltestelle Post beim Dorfplatz. Das Check-in ging unkompliziert und bald standen wir in unserem Standartzimmer. Dieses ist im Erdgeschoss und hatte alles was man braucht. Alles war sauber und sah gepflegt aus. Uns war bewusst, dass wir in einem alten Haus übernachteten. Da bei Eindunkeln auch das Leben in Habkern schlafen geht, hörten wir die Nacht über nur ganz leise den Dorfbrunnen plätschern. Nach 6 Uhr jedoch begann das Leben (ob in der Küche darunter oder in einem anderen Zimmer war unklar). Jedenfalls hörten wir die Wasserleitung rauschen. Das Frühstück genossen wir im Restaurant und beinhaltete viele örtliche Produkte. Nur die aufgebackenen Brötchen störten das ganze Angebot. Unter dem Strich können wir dieses Hotel auch für eine weitere Übernachtung empfehlen.
