What a confusing hotel to navigate around. You start off in the car park and no obvious “Hotel Reception this way” signs. When you get into the hotel, the direction signs there are even more confusing. Arrows everywhere, indicating rooms on different levels when you have no idea what level you are actually on to start with. I think reception is on Level 2!
The rooms themselves were a bit dated but generally ok, clean and had a comfortable bed. It does annoy me when there aren’t any plug sockets or USB chargers next to the bed to charge devices.
Eating wise, there is the option of a Restaurant or a Bar with a Bar menu. Unfortunately, the bar only had low comfortable chairs and low tables. If you order Bar Food you end up perched on the edge of your seat leaning over the low table to eat. When the food came out, the staff seemed to wonder around with it, hunting for the person who ordered it, despite them asking where we were sitting when we ordered. After our dinner had passed a few times, I had to flag them down and they just placed the food on the table and left. No “Can I get you any sauces”, also no cutlery. After a few minutes when it was obvious that they weren’t actually going to bring us any, we had to go up to the bar and ask for some. When that came, they gave us cutlery and explained they only had one napkin and he would bring us another. That didn’t happen. If that wasn’t bad enough, when our dessert arrived, we again had to go and ask for a spoon.
