Hotel berhampiran Ekklisia Agios Vasilios, Heraklion Prefecture

This was my first time at the amazing Stella Island, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations! I had heard so many great things about this place, but nothing could have prepared me for how stunning it truly is. The photos really don’t do it justice—this hotel is something you need to experience firsthand. And the way it transforms from day to night? Simply magical! From the moment we arrived, I felt like I had stepped into paradise. We were warmly greeted by Aris and Nikos, who took such good care of us throughout our stay. Aris has a heart of gold, and it was such a pleasure getting to know him better during our little trips around the hotel. The entire team was incredibly helpful, always there to assist us with our moves and daily routines. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and care! The reception team was equally wonderful, always smiling and so welcoming. Every interaction with them was lovely—efficient, friendly, and always ready to help. It’s a great feeling when you’re remembered and treated like family. We stayed in a room with a Premium Pool View near the Makuti side, and it was perfect! Spacious, spotless, and with the most comfortable beds. Makuti was our go-to spot for sunbathing, and the team there made every day special. Rania and her team were a joy to be around—her attention to detail is unmatched, and I loved catching up with her. George, with his calming presence, and Yannis made sure we were never without one of their amazing cocktails. And let’s not forget Yanni, who was always around, making sure everything was perfect. The drinks and food there were excellent! The food overall was exceptional—definitely a highlight of the trip! Lunch at the buffet was great, and the fish lunch at Vegera was top-notch. But La Parilla stole the show for both lunch and dinner. The meals were incredible, and the service was just as amazing. Johanna’s team is truly the best. Eleni, George, and Emerlito made every meal special, with their warm energy and flawless service. Kostis, the bartender, kept the good vibes going with his stories and perfect cocktails. Our evenings at Paraiso were a blast, too! Antonis and Sofia made the best cocktails—Sofia’s margaritas are to die for, and Antonis’ Margaritas are next level! Maria, Katerina, and Xaris were also a delight—super attentive and always ready with a smile. The entertainment was top-tier, the shows blew me away this year. Breakfast was another daily highlight, with a tough decision to make every morning between the buffet and La Parilla. Special shoutout to the lovely lady at the buffet and Lenti at La Parilla for starting our mornings off with great service and friendly faces. A massive thank you to Anastacia and Marina for taking such good care of us. And of course, a huge thanks to George and Christos for making us feel like part of the Stella Island family. Le séjour a eu ses hauts et ses bas. D'un côté, le parking s'est avéré dangereux avec une route à traverser où les voitures roulent à vive allure. À l'intérieur, la tablette en marbre de la table de chevet m'a causé des soucis, notamment lorsque je m'y suis cogné deux fois dans la nuit. L'insonorisation de l'appartement laisse également à désirer, vos deux oreilles sont dans le couloir avec les groupes de gens jusqu'à 3h du matin qui rentrent en discutant, et je me levais à 4h pour l'avion... Dommage. Cependant, tout n'était pas négatif. La literie était confortable, et la piscine un vrai plus. De plus, l'emplacement est très pratique, avec une branche d'autoroute à seulement 5 minutes de l'aéroport. L'accueil était également sympathique, ce qui a légèrement adouci les points négatifs.

The hotel is about 15min walk from the airport. Easy to find. The staff were very helpful and nice. The room was clean and organized. The shower wasn't so nice, it's a bath with no curtain so the floor gets very wet when showering.

From the moment we checked-in to the our check-out, the hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. Mary checked us in and helped us with our air-conditioning since we had an issue turning it on. Mary greeted us with a homemade Greek drink and we had complimentary snacks in our room. The location was perfect for us as we took the ferry into Heraklion and walked about 10 minutes from the ferry dock to the hotel. I chose this hotel due to our transportation needs. Our plan was to stay one night and we needed to take the bus from Heraklion to Chania, and the Central Bus Station is right across from the hotel, which made everything easy and convenient. We also took the local bus to Knossos Palace, and the bus stop happened to be across from the hotel as well. Since we only stayed for one night, the hotel has a luggage room that we used because we wanted to tour Knossos Palace the morning we checked-out. I highly recommend this hotel to others.

WE' LL COME BACK! Fantastic joy& pleasure we have had at Aquila Hotel at our stay there at Heraklion, it was our first time. Enjoyed it at breakfast, our room was so clean& with enough space with terrace& great view...Pool on 6th floor was pleasurable..All Hotel is interesting with exterior as well as interior...This hotel have so much to offer&most important to give you touch of happines at your stay! Lots of smiles from Belgrade:)) J&K

I love this hotel in the center of everything! It is right next door to the Archeological Museum. 10 to 15 minutes from the airport. Fantastic people working there are ready to help in any way they can. Beautiful breakfast buffet included with your stay! Great restaurant to eat at if you are tired and don't feel like venturing out after a long day of sightseeing. The rooftop pool is amazing! As you can see in my photos! You can walk to the harbor easily to check out the Kastro! There is so much to discover and see in walking distance from the Hotel. I highly recommend it to all who need a comfortable, centrally located place to stay! Oh, there are also Taxi, bus and Car Rental places nearby if you need them! Great shopping and landmarks all within walking distance!

酒店在老城比較中心的位置，離威尼斯廣場和教堂很近，吃飯逛街去海邊都方便；從伊拉克利翁機場打車15分鐘左右，出租車一口價15歐元；租車的話可以在central parking停車，每晚7歐，有24小時代客泊車的小哥；酒店比較新，房間在歐洲也屬於比較大的，衛生間三分離設計，最好自己帶拖鞋和洗漱用品，沒有牙膏牙刷，毛巾較差且兩個人衹給了一套；有燒水壺；樓下酒吧比較吵。

The hotel is below average and obviously sells because of its central location in Heraklion. This is its only advantage. Otherwise : A lot of noise from early morning (big banging, etc.) - to the point where you can't rest. Small and uncomfortable rooms. (They don't even have hangers in the bathroom for towels!) The rooms show strong signs of abandonment. They need renovation. Very modest breakfast, with only the very basics. Everything served is without taste! Only low quality filter coffee is served - without taste. If one wants to get a decent coffee, they must order it from the cafe bar at the entrance and is charged. There is a scale for weighting luggage at the reception. Requires a fee of 1 Euro !!! The staff, although very polite, are not happy or cheerful with clients. To ξενοδοχείο είναι κάτω του μετρίου και προφανώς πουλάει λόγω της θέσης του που είναι σε κεντρικό σημείο του Ηρακλείου. Αυτό αποτελεί το μόνο του πλεονέκτημα. Κατα τα άλλα : Πολύ θόρυβος από τα ξημερώματα (κρούση μεγάλων κτλ) - σε σημείο να μη μπορεί να ξεκουραστεί κανείς. Μικρά και άβολα δωμάτια. (Δεν έχουν ούτε κρεμάστρες στο μπάνιο για τις πετσέτες !) Τα δωμάτια δείχνουν έντονα σημάδια εγκατάλειψης. Χρειάζονται ανακαίνιση. Πολύ λιτό πρωινό, με τα πολύ βασικά μόνο. Πολύ άνοστα όλα ! Καφές μόνο φίλτρου και χωρίς γεύση. Αν θέλει κανείς να πάρει έναν αξιοπρεπή καφέ, τον παραγγέλνει από το cafe bar της εισοδου και χρεώνεται. Υπάρχει χρέωση 1 Ευρώ για να ζυγίσει κάποιος τη βαλίτσα του !!! Το προσωπικό, αν και πολύ ευγενικό, δεν είναι καθόλου πρόσχαρο.

Excellent central location, walking distance to major sightseeing sites. Polite and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and very clean. The only disadvantage is the quality of the bed mattress and the pillows, which are not very comfortable.
