Lipstick and rouge. On initial checkin, it looked ok. But we first noticed a spider, then lots of spider webs on one light. After removing the spider, we figured the bed was a little lumpy but nothing major. First night was initially quiet until the flat above came back. You can hear everything above. Walking around like you were in the basement of a farm house, voices… everything. So second night came back, found two very large spiders on the walls (talking full grown half a baseball sized spiders) killed them. Then put in ear plugs to sleep for the night. Several times woken by the loud banging of what i think was the opening and closing of doors. Though im not sure, then, after being unable to get back to sleep, removed the ear plugs to hear snoring from the room above. For the price paid, expected far more from this property. If those are not issues for you, then your good. Otherwise, you might want to go elsewhere. It was located in the heart of the town…

Quirky Georgian property, welcoming staff and pleasant location. Only an overnight stay but a first, a four poster bed ! It was cold weather, but the welcome was warm, with very welcoming log fires and plenty of seating for an evening stay.

From the moment we booked the communication with Selina was excellent with regular notifications about our stay. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome by Karen who checked us in. She was extremely helpful throughout our stay and a great asset to the Beachfront. Even though the room we had was not a sea view it was very comfortable and well kept. A great selection of tea & coffee in the room and not to forget the lovely biscuits! The view was not important to us as we did not spend anytime there during the day. So anyone looking to spend time in the accommodation I would suggest a sea view as it is spectacular. Now onto breakfast, WOW we can honestly say it was top quality, superb selection and cooked fresh to order. The parking permit which we purchased on a daily basis from The Beachfront was perfect. The property is very convenient for National Trust visits, and onsite parking behind the premises is very convenient. Check in until 10pm is handy too as we arrived at 21:59 due to traffic conditions. I already knew that if we were in the attic that our room would likely be sub-par. We were, and it was. The attic landing is musty, doors and ceilings very low, very much feeling like servants quarters. the hotel management are making an effort with redecoration, but this cannot hide the fact that fixtures and fittings need replacing too. Water pressure is so low in the attic that showering is impossible, so set the bath running ahead of time if you want to be clean. My booking showed a photo of a four-poster bed - nope, a double pushed up against the wall for no apparent reason is what we had in a room big enough to be laid out better. We paid under £45 on this occasion, and at that price would stay again. The Italian Restaurant on the ground floor serves breakfast nice and early. To check out, simply drop your key in the box outside the building.

Came over a little queer while away rang emergency services for help, that was last week ha ha. Apart from that just look after yourself always knowing your on holiday. Grin and bear it. Only here once I'm told. Couldn't fault the place, I tried but couldn't. Ps better than NHS food any day of the Milena. Keep up the good work. Pps if you don't agree don't read then.

I recently stayed at Pearl & Pebbles Eastbourne in Eastbourne for one night and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Firstly, I must commend the lovely staff, although our interactions were minimal, their warmth and hospitality were evident. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, including the bathroom which was also fresh and tidy. However, my room was located right in front of the stairs on the second floor, which resulted in considerable noise disturbance until late at night, affecting my sleep quality. On a brighter note, the bed was comfortable, and the presence of a desk and chair was a practical addition, making it easier for me to catch up on some work. I particularly enjoyed the bathroom with its window, perfect for those who, like me, enjoy showering with a breeze of fresh air. Despite the compact size of the room, it was sufficient for a one-night stay. Moreover, having a kettle, coffee, and tea in the room was a delightful bonus, adding to the comfort and convenience of the stay. However, it was disappointing to find that the room lacked a safe, which would have added an extra layer of security for my belongings. In summary, while my stay at Pearl & Pebbles Eastbourne had its drawbacks, including noise issues and the absence of a safe, the cleanliness, comfort of the bed, practical amenities, and the friendly staff made it a generally positive experience for my short stay in Eastbourne.

We stayed for 3 nights as a family with children under the age of 6 and had the best time. The hotel service is exceptional, every need was met. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the valet who helped us park the car and take our bags. They reserved our space for us with a board for the whole stay. The children received a kids backpack with hat, yo-yo and colouring in. We went straight down to the health club to the indoor pool. When we came out the reception said our room was now ready and collected the keys for us. Our room was a junior suite, it spotless and sizeable with drinks provided on ice and slippers for everyone. In the evening the children could order complimentary milk and cookies which they loved. The outdoor pool was heated and lovely when the sun was out, this was end of may/June. There also was a waiter serving drinks outside. The breakfast was amazing, great selection and the kids loved have every meal served with a cloche and countdown reveal. The added extras on the service make this a wonderful hotel. The positives far outweigh the negatives, I guess it could do with some new carpets and some new upholstery but the charm of the old building supersedes this and although old it was very clean. The bed mattress was ok, quite soft. The sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable but ok for young children. We will be back again!! Thank you

Great location right by the seafront. Rooms very clean with comfortable beds. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Really nice continental breakfast, and plenty of choice. Ideally placed for the Theatre which was just a short walk away.
