Not your normal hostel - a great place to stay. The staff are friendly and were very helpful. Spacious kitchen and shared area. Very clean in every area. Lovely Onsen after being in the mountain. Best to bring your own food although they do have a small shop to buy supplies. Near to the tourist information centre to hire snow shoes, boots, cross country skis etc.

15-20 mins walk to Asahidake ropeway. Self catering with lots of space and utensils to cook. Lots of fridge and freezer space. We brought food in advance but they do have things there you can buy like Tinned fish, pasta, tinned veg, frozen veg, frozen meats, various snacks and drinks etc. It was kept super clean. The insen was great with an outdoor pool. Rooms were quite basic but were clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful too !! There's coin laundry which we needed. Also a table tennis table which was a nice addition!

K’s house is very clean, well kept. The host is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.

Great hostel, close to the ropeway. Reachable by public transport. Staff is great. Nice Onsen and full kitchen available for guest!

Beautiful view on the mountain. Nice onsen, spacious lounge with breakfast for a good value price. Perfect place for hikers and skiers.

The beds in the mixed dormitory don't have curtains but there was free Coffee, tea and hot chocolate the whole day. The Onsen was great and the Common area is really comfortable

Place is awesome. Really easy for late check in. Great to post up for a few nights and wait to score some good weather and pow at asahidake. Great kitchen and lounge space to cook and meet other shredders. Bring some food with you before you head into the national park , not much to eat.

The hostel was very clean, the place to eat was large enough, and the sense of space was better than many business hotels. Although breakfast only has 2 slices of toast + 1 cup of coffee, you can sit as you like and cook your own meals. But the only less thing is that there is no separate bathroom, the lodge is slightly far from the Asahi Mountain trailhead, a 15-minute walk.

This clean and tidy youth hostel with hot spring facilities doesn't offer formal dinner or breakfast, but it does have a fully equipped kitchen and refrigerator for guests to cook. Guests are expected to clean up after meals. My Japanese-style suite didn't have air conditioning, but it did have a fan, so it wasn't stuffy and provided a relaxing and comfortable stay.

I have never stayed in such a comfortable youth hostel. It completely overturned my previous impression of youth hostels. The room is not only large, but the service is unprecedentedly professional and careful. The hot spring in the hotel seems to have returned to childhood, retro and cute, and it is definitely worth a try.

We stayed here the next day as well. It was a pity that the weather was bad for two consecutive days. We tried to climb to the summit of Asahidake, but unfortunately the wind and snow were too strong and we had to retreat. I hope everyone pays attention to safety and enjoys outdoor sports.

The hotel is very close to the ski resort, and the outdoor hot spring has a beautiful view. It is really beautiful to wake up early in the morning and open the window to see the beautiful view. I will stay in the hotel again if I have a chance. It is suitable for self-driving.

This was my Nth stay in a few years, and everything was excellent. I booked a quadruple room with bunk beds. I loved the sound of frogs croaking in the forest outside my window in the summer! There's only one problem: every time I come, it would be much better if each bunk had a curtain! It would be much more convenient for changing clothes.
