"I recently stayed at the Travelodge in High Wycombe and, unfortunately, I cannot recommend it. Upon arriving at my room, it was clear that the cleanliness was not up to standard. The room felt dusty and generally "grimy," which made it very difficult to feel comfortable or settled. Furthermore, I was concerned by the environment on the ground floor. There were several homeless individuals loitering/sitting in the lobby and entrance area. While I understand this can be a complex issue for management to handle, it did not create a professional or secure atmosphere for paying"

"I stayed at Premier Inn on 27 March 2026. The arrival process was quick and well-organised, and the team offered a friendly and professional welcome. I would especially like to thank a staff member—her name may have been Dilla—who was working the evening shift at reception. She was polite, attentive, and made the check-in experience very smooth. Overall, a very good first impression."

"Partner stayed for business. Registration was entered into parking confirmation as requested. Stayed again on a separate occasion and was told the machine was out of service. We now have two parking fines and are being threatened with CCJ’s despite proof of staying. No one at the hotel is ever available to help. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. Even without the parking fines the hotel is unclean, unkempt and has terrible customer service. It’s more like a half way house."

"I stayed at Holiday Inn High Wycombe on 19th February, and unfortunately, my experience started on a disappointing note. Upon arrival, I was greeted politely and checked in by the receptionist, who allocated me a ground floor room. However, when I entered the room, I immediately noticed a strong smell of smoke, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwilling to stay there. It was clear the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or aired. I contacted reception, and to their credit, the staff member came to inspect the room herself. She acknowledged the issue, apologised sincerely, and admitted it should have been resolved by housekeeping. Unfortunately, I was told the hotel was fully booked and no alternative rooms were available. I was offered a 30% discount to stay in the room, but I declined as I did not feel comfortable. The receptionist then arranged an alternative solution by relocating me to Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe, including organising a taxi transfer. Although there was some confusion about room availability at the Hilton, she remained helpful and even offered me a complimentary drink while I waited. Once I arrived at the Hilton, the difference was clear — the room was clean, fresh, and of a much higher standard, which made for a far more comfortable stay. Overall, while I appreciate the professionalism and efforts of the staff at Holiday Inn to resolve the issue, the initial room condition fell well below expectations."

"This is a premiere inn that doesnt appear to be quite right! I stayed in a premiere room/super room. Usual room quality, cleanliness and style and, as always very comfy beds. The bar and restaurant doenst open until 6pm. Breakfast wasn't up to the usual PI quality, with no fired eggs availabile on both days until around 30/45 minutes after breakfast service started. Staff lacked the usual PI friendliness culture. the location is on the fringe of the city centre, btu the approach - via an underpass - wasnt great .... could do with better lighting at night. Despite being next to a main road, hotel was very quiet. I stay at a number of PI's across the country each year and this one just didnt hit the usual mark. Still good value for money though which is why i gave it a 4 stars and not a three."

"Firstly the positives The hotel has a good location, plenty of free parking (register your registration however) and the staff were polite and helpful. The hotel looks to be undergoing some refurbishment and the block I stayed in is relatively new (some fittings were left on thr floor in the block. Some comments on this 1) hallways need clear signs to direct you to the correct floor for your room 2) rooms - I stayed in 19, some points for improvement - no furniture in room, could do with a wardrobe to hang your clothes, a bedside cabinet, and a chair - I ended up having to put my stuff on the second bed, not possible if there are two of you. No plug sockets near kettle area - ended up balancing kettle on radiator No shaver socket in bathroom Mismatched cups and poor presentation of coffee/tea items No bath mat for shower. Would suggest not putting soaps in paperboxes inside the shower cubicle storage area - end up getting wet Food - No restaurant currently active on site"
