Hotel berhampiran Hundewiese / Hundefreilauf Jaberg, Hilden

Three night stay at this hotel for business meetings in the area. Very clean and neat lobby and room. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke english perfectly. I was not a fan of the marshmallow pillows. Room is pure basic and was adequate. Good hot water supply. I did not try the breakfast so can't comment on that. Biggest drawback was the lack of proximity to any incidental ammenaties or food establishments. There are no convenience stores near by (2-3 kilometers walking distance to the nearest one) and none in the hotel (small refrigerator in the hotel lobby where you can buy limited soft drinks and snacks at the front desk). The hotel would do well to establish a gift shop/convenience store to service thier patrons due to the lack of availability of such in the area. It would have been nice to acquire a cup of coffee any time of day but especially in the morning when a full cost breakfast was the only way to acquire this. Overall though, a pleasant stay with pleasant staff.

Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit und man wird direkt mit einem Lächeln begrüßt Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker ich kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen

Geboekt voor één nacht samen met kleinzoon (11) als uitvalbasis voor een bezoek aan Neanderthal. Eigen ondergrondse parking, niet al te ruim maar handiger dan plek zoeken op straat. Vriendelijk onthaal maar je kan best wat Duits kennen, Engels of enige andere taal is duidelijk niet hun forte. Geen al te grote kamer, maar voldoende voor 1 nacht. Fles water en thee, geen koffie, ter beschikking. Geen TV of telefoon gids, wel menu van het in huis Italiaanse restaurant La Scala. Geen airco in de kamer maar wel kantelraam maar bij hogere buiten temperaturen zeker geen 'koele' kamer. Dubbele boxspring maar voor mij veel te zacht en voor mijn kleinzoon veel te hard, beiden waren we het wel eens over de slechte kwaliteit van de hoofdkussens. Naar goede Duitse gewoonte moet je als gast wel zelf je bed opmaken maw er een laken bovenop gooien en het donsdeken daar nog eens bovenop. Badkamer ruim en mooi met inloop-regen-douche, haardroger ook beschikbaar. Mooi binnenzwembad, aangename temperatuur van het water, kleedkabines en gratis handdoeken ter beschikking. Alleen de lockers waren niet toegankelijk, waarschijnlijk te vragen aan de receptie. 4 ligstoelen, wat toch een beetje aan de zuinige kant is. Ook sauna toegankelijk, alleen jammer dat sommige gasten daar naakt gebruik van willen maken, wat hun goed recht is natuurlijk, maar toch minder attent in een accommodatie voorzien voor gemeenschappelijk gebruik. Leuke koffie hoek bij de receptie, al zou ik liever koffie op de kamer gehad hebben. Ruim ontbijtbuffet, misschien geen hoogvlieger maar zeker ook geen tegenvaller. Vlot afrekenen en, nogmaals, je kan toch beter maar een mondje Duits spreken.

The room in the hotel is new and clean. You also have good view of the river. If you drive with car, you can park it in front of the hotel with no fee.

Stayed for 2 nights at this 4 star hotel in the middle of Hilden close to the shopping street and about 15 min walk from the station. The lobby, restaurant/breakfast room was recently renovated because of a serious flooding a couple of years ago. They did a good job, the interior in this part of the hotel has been updated with a very contemporary feel to it. We booked a standard room, however the heating was not working properly and we got upgraded immediately which was very much appreciated. The rooms, looked a little bit dated, but were to my delight utterly spotless. The bathrooms especially the shower trays and doors were immaculate, although some water was leaking onto the bathroom floor when using the shower. The housekeeping department is doing a good job for sure. I was pleased to see soap dispensers installed rather than having all those little customary bottles with soap and gel, saving on plastic. Good forward environmental thinking. Because the floor covering was carpet rather than tiles or laminate I would have liked some of those hotel slippers that are customary in most hotels these days. Also as a 4 star I would expect an iron and board in the room for convenience. The breakfast offerings are the usual fare and I was pleased to see milk alternatives available. The breakfast room was quite busy and you could do with an extra member of staff looking after the buffet to replenish it in time. All in all I very much enjoyed my stay here. I think that the room rate charged is very fair and honest but thought that the prize for the breakfast per person maybe at 17 Euros is a bit steep. However, I wholeheartedly can recommend this hotel.

Die Zimmer sind in Ordnung, die Dusche okay, das Personal freundlich. Alle Zimmer haben Balkon. Wir hatten ohne Frühstück gebucht. Es ist ruhig gelegen, da im Wohngebiet. Ein Stück zu Fuß(5 Min.) und man erreicht Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Apotheke und Restaurants.

We stayed in this hotel for five nights and it was a lovely vacation. The lady on the reception desk , Nami, was very helpful when we arrived and she found us a room overlooking the Schwebebahn, as I had requested. The room was fine with a kettle and coffee and tea. There were plenty of electrical sockets which was good for recharging. Ther was a good sized shower in the bathroom, with plenty of hot water. The buffet breakfast was delicious with cereals, cold meats,cheese, eggs and fruit and yoghurt along with various bread rolls and croissants. Also fruit juice and coffee/tea. Free Wifi was also available. One night we had drinks in the bar and again the staff were very friendly. The hotel is located very near to the Schwebebahn stop and also close to the main station in Wuppertal. Everything in the town was easily accessible by foot. I would vertainly stay there again.
