Hotel berhampiran Kameyama Daisan Park, Hiroshima

超級喜歡的寶藏酒店，工作人員服務態度太好了，硬件也非常棒，距離橫川站特別近，看演出回來很方便，安排了最高層的角部屋，就像是住自己家一樣，特別舒服，如果有機會再來廣島一定會再定

Room was small but enough for a solo traveller like me. To my surprise, there was even a microwave in the room. Everything was neat and tidy, and the staff at the front desk was nice and helpful. On the top floor, there was a public hot spring bath, but I did not use it. Outside the hot spring bath, there were drinking water fountains and vending machines, one of which dedicated to selling milk and dairy products. You could enjoy the Japanese culture of drinking milk - correct me if I am wrong (at least this was what I learnt from Japanese animes and dramas) - after taking the hot spring. Overall the experience was great.

It is very accessible for me on the way to the workshop place & to different restaurants I want to go. It also accessible to bus stop in the way to Hiroshima station. They provided me towels every day even I didn't ask for. They have free coffee & tea, but no water or a bottled water in the room. The room I choose isn't as wide as I thought. I wish they also had iron for clothes. However overall I was comfortable staying there & I will stay there again next year if the workshop is in the same place.😉

The location is great, very central and close to the train station. The view is stubning over the river. Breakfast is good. Overall is a great place

We arrived in Hiroshima by train and this hotel is super close to the train station so it was super easy to get to and from here with literally a 5 minute walk. It looks like the area has been redeveloped a bit so there's a bunch of good restaurants around the hotel. There is also a tram stop right around the corner so even though it's location is a bit far from all the sightseeing in the city you can get there easily by just hopping on one of the cool streetcars. The room itself is on the small side but the bed was super comfy. Shared bathrooms and toilets were clean most of the time and pretty spacious too. The downstairs common room and kitchen is great, there's so many kitchen appliances and utensils to use which was great. There's a bunch of manga books and boardgames too for some entertainment. The room could do with a few hooks to hang up stuff on the wall. Since the room is really small and there's no space for anything other than the bed and the tiny table with a stool it'd be a great solution to add some sort of storage for things like coats and bags etc. Unfortunately the cafe was closed when we were there so haven't been able to try this.

This was my first capsule experience and honestly it has everything that you would need for a short stay. I was also surprised at how quiet it was once you are in your capsule. The capsules are also much bigger than expected! It's handy that the toilet, shower, and sink area are all in separate areas. All are really clean as well, perhaps because it's a woman's only floor! I stayed in a ”superior” capsule which was a little like having the lower bunk bed but the top bunk is separated off. It was in its own little room which a partician door but the door doesn't lock. You do get a locker inside this area which does lock for your valuables. Sadly the thing lowering the rating for me was the comfort of the bed. The mattress was extremely thin and I just couldn't get comfortable. I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet hoping for extra comfort but that didn't help either. The capsule is also quite chilly. They had the Aircon on and you cannot control that for your room although the capsules do also have their own air con if you are travelling in summer and need extra cooling.

Situated only a couple of minutes walk from Hondori shopping street and about 10 minutes walk, depending on if you’re a snail pace walker or someone who walks as fast as an angry mother who’s about to complain to the school board about something, from the Peace Memorial Park lies Santiago Guest House. A hostel that is a bit of a pain to find with it only being sign posted by those hanging signs attached to high rise buildings that are literally everywhere in Japan. With said buildings hosting separate businesses on each floor, it may stress you out finding it but upon entry the stress will go bye bye from its general aesthetically pleasing outlook. A modern and polished looked hostel who’s reception lies right next the common room and kitchen area, giving everyone in there a look at the fresh meat coming in. The common area and reception give a friendly vibe out from the on set with bean bags, couches, two TVs (one with a PlayStation 3) and shelves holding games and cuddly toys for you to spoon like they’re your partner whilst watching a rom com on Netflix. Generally the 6th floor where there is one dorm room and the kitchen and common area is quality. The kitchen is a little small in size but it does the job plus you’re in Japan where bento boxes are a way of life. Plus you can always just jaunt to the local supermarket- Yours- between 8:15 – 8:40pm where the bento boxes, salad and sushi goes half price, which the foreign helpers for free accommodation do pretty much every night. 元地元民からすると「厚生年金会館」で泊まれたの？って感じでホールの イメージが強いが、現在はパックツアーで安い料金帯の宿って感じです。 平和公園には近いのですが、場所が中途半端で市電も通ってなく不便という 先入観で観光客には人気がないのか、とにかくツアーでは安いです。 しかし、市電の路線に挟まれた住宅地に向かう主要通りなので、バスが非常に 頻繁に走っており夜は早じまいですが、ほぼ時刻表なしで乗ることができます。 ホテル前に「加古町」という停留所（平和公園の次）で赤バス（広島バス） の24号線、吉島線が（広島駅～八丁堀～紙屋町~平和公園）と主要地を 通る路線なので市電に劣らず利用価値があると思います。 竣工はかなり古いはずですが、古く見えず館内も比較的きれいですし 部屋もリノベーションされて広くて快適だと思います。 中心部にあるホテルよりコストパフォーマンスに優れ良いと思いますが あくまでもビジネスホテルなのでアメニティ等は少なめで壁など防音対策は 貧弱な気がします。当日修学旅行の小学生が下のフロアを占拠してましたが 走り回る音がかなり響いてましたようでホテル名のごとく日によっては 学生団体も多いのでそのあたりはご注意ください。
