Hotel berhampiran Daerah 1 - Jalan Dong Khoi / tepi sungai, Saigon

Very convenient hotel, close to the local hotspots, very friendly personnel and good breakfast. At lower floor the noise from the nearby traffic is a bit too loud, but fortunately the hotel gave us another room directly at the 15th floor, which was much better. Nice rooftop swimming pool, I'd go back to this place for sure.

Roseland Sweet Hotel is a value for money hotel; and there would be many other similar hotels easily found online. But what made Roseland stand out was one of their staff Kiet Anh, who is a bellboy, front desk, concierge all rolled into one. The week I was there, he was working everyday and all hours, I practically see him all the time whenever i'm at the lobby, whether I am going out or coming back. His bright, cheerful and friendly demeanour plus his very personal touch is on par with the service found only at the 5 or 6 star hotels. He was what made the difference for me staying at Roseland; which otherwise would be a good but pretty average hotel. Roseland is indeed very fortunate to have employed a staff like him; and given time and the right grooming would make an excellent management personnel in the hospitality industry. My choice of hotel will still be Roseland for my next coming trip, but only if Kiet is there. Thank you Kiet, for making my stay so pleasant and memorable; and thanks for helping me send my cracked handphone for repair; you really saved my life!! See you soon!

After two nights in the Roseland Corp Hotel I just don’t know where to start describing this horrible experience as everything - the service, the rooms, the prices - was just so, so bad. So I just start at the beginning: We arrived on a Thursday. Arranging a pick-up from the airport was surprisingly complicated, it took several mails with the service manager for no reason but in the end there was a quite unfriendly driver waiting for us at the gate. They charged us 750.000 Dong which is way above the common taxi-rate (150.000 Dong). When we arrived at the hotel they charged my credit card for the room - twice. As the woman at the front desk didn’t understand English that well, it was quite complicated to convince her of her mistake and get the money back. The Roseland Corp hotel has an impressive entrance area. It’s nice, really. But unfortunately this doesn’t translate to the rooms. They are terrible, probably furnished in the 80s and not renewed since. They have whirlpool bathtubs made of plastic, lots of wood in the room, curtains that haven’t been washed for ages, and you can hear everything that is going on outside of your room. The first room we got smelled like cold cigarette smoke. I complained and they upgraded us to a bigger room (after we looked at a series of rooms, one of them still in use by a paying guest). But even the upgraded room was by far worse then everything we have seen in Vietnam. I wanted to cancel the whole reservation but they wouldn’t let us go. Instead they promised us the best room of the hotel the next day and we stayed. The first night was terrible. The bed had a very, very old and thus noisy spring mattress. The slightest movement made a noise. The walls and curtains had stains all over it. There’s no constant hot water, I had a cold shower in the morning. Shower and toilet happened to make weird unexpected noises. The best room in the hotel was basically the same as before but with a better view and a less noisy mattress. At this point I was ready to drink on that but unfortunately all the mini bar contained was two bottles of water. Breakfast was…well, let’s not talk about it. All of this would have been okay somehow if this hotel wasn’t so pricey. It’s like paying for a filet mignon and getting McDonalds Cheesburger. When we checked out the woman at the front desk (the same who messed up the payment) kindly asked us to sit and wait in the entrance area so she can check if everything is okay. We waited five, ten, fifteen minutes and nothing happened. When we asked her if everything was okay, she was surprised to see that we are still there. Yes, everything okay, she said. I can’t say the same. P.S.: Neil, the doorman, was the only exception to this experience. You are great, man! Please find a new employer.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. We have been travelling Vietnam for four weeks and everywhere we have stayed have been very nice... until we got here When we arrived we were shown to our room which absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. We complained and they did change our room for us however the new room wasn't much better but we decided to put up with it as we couldn't be bothered to move our bags again. The room was average and was very dark with no exterior windows. The pool is also dirty. Upon checking out we were greeted with a bill for 300,000 VND because a small hand towel had some make up on it. They hadn't even tried to wash the towel which makes me question whether they even wash the towels in between guests. We argued with the receptionist who spoke very little English and asked to speak to the manager who conveniently wasn't there. After about 15 minutes of arguing using Google translate they agreed to reduce the price to 150,000 VND which is still ridiculous price for a tiny towel in Vietnam. We agreed to pay it and leave else we would've missed our flight!

Chery Boutique hotel - no windows opaque out no see out. So no point and getting the window room and paying the extra fee because even with the window it is no outside visibility. - no towel hangers in bathroom. This is minor until you start to look for a place to hang your towel and you realize there is no where so I needed up hanging mine over the shower head No gym. If you like to workout or u want to keep up with your workouts, no real gym here. The 1 treadmill you see in the online pics was not working, and the stationary bike is unpowered belt type. The sauna was working but mgmt keeps the circuit breakers off so u can’t turn it on without permission. But it works and gets reasonably hot. There is no jacuzzi, the small pool that is listed as a Jacuzzi is unheated. Everything is smaller than pics. Pics are taken and the right angles and distance but anything listed under 300sqft is basically just bed and bathroom. Rooms are small. Loft has no headroom. If you get the larger room with loft the loft is just big enough to crawl I into the bed and sit up while in the bed, anyone taller than a 7 year old will not be able to stand up. Little to no bathroom couter space for your toiletries, similar to the towel rack, no counter space in bathrooms. On check out,n the way out they will inspect your room for missing items such as towels or wash clothes and itemize the waters you have drinken. They stock the refrigerator with bottled waters but then don't tell u that they are for sale. And they sale them for ,5x the price u can buy them from street vendors right outside.i was charged 100,000d about $5 for 4 bottled waters in the room. Check the online hotel listing , and you will see it says”drinking water”. They do at least give u a teapot so u can boil your own water and refrigerate for drinking. The breakfast buffet is as depicted in pics, only issue here is no juice bar.They put the juice in these tiny little jars barely big enough for a child instead of just making a dispenser full with the typical tiny glasses so u don’t take much. Overall, this is a good hotel in a pinch or short 1-2 night stays, and at the right price. $30 a night would be my max to pay on this one. It will put u in the center of the action of Japan town and district 1. But, ***as a vacation destination, I do not recommend. ****

Stayed here for NY countdown. The location is central, at the District 1 ”Japanese Street”. Bustling and convenient area. When not enjoying their nice breakfast, there are plenty of eateries nearby. The rooftop bar and pool was good for viewing new year fireworks too. However, a few setbacks deducted quite a few points. 1) faulty elevator at times (had to take the stairs sometimes, and be careful at the stairs as its ceiling is really low, my friend hit his head once) 2) hammering and drilling in nearby room or building at early hours (good thing is they let you switch room when dissatisfied) 3) first room had a weird smell (older room with Jacuzzi tub). The final room we got smelled nice (newer room with standard bathtub), but TV remote control and bathtub stopper were missing, had to ask for it 4) the final flaw that made my female friends very uncomfortable, was the clientele - many middle-aged men sitting or waiting around lobby area, ogling girls who walked by. Sometimes it's a group of men, sometimes they're paired with a local lady. Other things to note: - upon check-in, they will request to keep your passport throughout your stay. We were not going to do that, so we gave them VND500000 as deposit (which you'll get back when you check out) - the toilet and shower/bath area are separate, however the walls and doors were made of frosted glass, rather see-through, might be awkward for some if you're not a couple

We have been to HCMC many times but it's the first time we are staying in this part of District 1, as previously we all stayed around Ben Thanh market, that is about 15mins walk from here. The hotel is nice and staff are overall friendly and helpful! Location wise, it's near to city center and there's a circle k convenience store located opposite and some eateries around too. Our room on 1st floor is spacious and large, and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is good (they change a few dishes daily and there's live cooking too). Room service was well done. The bathroom is big and have bathtub and automatic blinds. However, on certain days, there was no hot water (possibly many people are using at the same time) and was lukewarm. And the drainage has problem and all the water from the bathtub would flow out from below and flooded the entire toilet floor. It took a while for the water to be fully drained and floor was wet. If you don't really mind this, there's no issue. Overall, our stay here was nice and lovely and would be happy to stay here again when we revisit HCMC!

Deluxe Doubleを予約しましたが、最初にSuperior（no-window）の部屋を案内されました。そこで、窓のあるDeluxe Doubleで予約したはずだと言ったら、Superior（no-window）に小さい窓がついた部屋（広さはSuperiorと同じ）になりました。予約するとき、Deluxe Doubleはもっと大きな窓で浴槽もあったと思うのですが。私の部屋はSuperiorと同じく浴槽が無く、写真のように小さい窓があっただけ。予約サイトのDeluxe Doubleの写真は、Premier Deluxe Doubleの写真を使っている？それとも間違った部屋に案内された？まあフロントがいいかげんなのは海外あるあるなので、次も同じ部屋を予約して確認してみます。 I reserved 1 Deluxe Double Room.But, at first the reception took me to a Superior Double Room（no-window）. Then I told him I reserved 1 Deluxe Double Room had the window, and next he took me to the room like the photo I uploaded. Is this room on this photo actually the Deluxe Double Room? I thought that this room I stayed is different from the photoes on booking sites. I would like to check it out on my next visit.

New hotel a bit on the outdkirt of district one with good and spacious room. 15 minute walk from Ben Thanh market, 30 minutes to Bui Vien Street. Fully stocked minibar with reasonable prices. Comfortable bed, safe and I great shower. Be careful when use the toilet. The ”washer” is a bit tricky to use😆. It's rated 4 star on booking, but are in reality a 3 star according to staff. The one thing and reason I dont give a 5 is the noise. The fan in the bathroom can't be turned off and is loud. The building itself has also an annoying ”humming” from what I presume is AC and other electrical installations. There are also a lot of construction work around the hotel. Had to use noise cancelling headphones to have some sleep actually 😆. The staff said that only they can turn off fan, but then for the whole floor. Beside the noise I have nothing negative to say about the hotel. Great and helpful staff, friendly doormen/security and great breakfast on the 11. floor.

배낭여행으로 새벽도착하여 오전까지 잠시 눈을 붙이기위해 4인 도미토리 방에 숙박했습니다. 숙소 자체는 굉장히 훌륭하여 대단히 만족했습니다. 이층침대 도미토리에 비해 침대는 호텔식이라 편안하였고, 커튼또한 잘 되어있어 개인프라이버시가 나쁘지 않았습니다. 약간 일본의 캡슐호텔 느낌? 하지만 수납공간이 큰 라커 빼고 침대 주위에 좀 부족하다는 느낌이 있었습니다. 또한 가장 크게 부족하다고 다가왔던 점은 온수가 나오지 않았던 거였습니다. 새벽이라 안나오는 줄 알고 대충 씻고 다음날을 기다렸는데 다음날에도 나오지 않아 찬물로 샤워했습니다. 다만 동남아라 완전 냉수는 아니고 샤워할 만한 냉수였습니다. 아무튼 새벽 체크인 가능하다는 점에서 긍정 평가 드립니다.
