Hotel is ok, not a value for money, for the rates I’m paying, there are other hotels which offer the same. One thing that must be said, parking is a hassle, the hotel charges A$35 per day, starts from checking in to when you check out. Only valet parking, one can probably do the parking yourself around the hotel and may even cheaper. But the worst is they informed you that to get the car it will take 25 minutes. In my first time to pick the car, it actually took them almost 40 minutes, so if you’re in a hurry take the Uber, you’ve probably arrive at the destination.
Just don’t know why most hotels in the West, and Australia and NZ included, just can’t be compared to those in Asia in terms of values for money, services and quality of the hotels. It’s probably people over here has lower expectations. In most cases I’d discount their ratings on google and would specifically look for reviews by Asian person.

Very good hotel in terms of location , service and the friendly staff. The room is very clean. Also the valet parking service is recommended. We definitely will come back to this hotel when next time come to Hobart. The breakfast is very nice too . Highly recommended

The hotel is clean, well equipped & comfortable. As a ”boutique” hotel, we loved the warm fireplace int eh lobby and the small restaurant and bar area. Only a few items let them down a little; on the public holiday the kitchen was closed in the evening. In addition we ordered some mineral water to go to the room, but had to follow that up. Whilst it was supplied free of charge to make up for the delay, it would be preferred that it was simply sent as requested. Overall we loved the hotel, its location, the view, the room and the overall ”Vibe”.

The room and bathroom is small. The shower head is fixed which means difficult to control the water flow and cold water will flow out when you go inside. The WiFi connection is not stable. The only good thing is that the laundry facilities is good. Breakfast is normal with limited choice. The price is quite high and not value for money.

While the hotel offers a range of appealing amenities, including a heated swimming pool, our recent three-night stay was marred by cleanliness issues within our room. Despite reporting stained bedsheets to the reception on the second night, the problem remained unresolved until the afternoon of the day. Even then, the room attendant's attempt to rectify the situation was incomplete, as a stained linen was inadvertently left behind.
While the hotel's facilities and standard amenities were comparable to other accommodations, the cleanliness shortcomings significantly impacted our overall experience. We hope that future guests will not encounter similar issues and that the hotel will take steps to address and prevent such occurrences in the future.

The bar at reception is a very nice start to an evening on the town. Only a short walk to Salamanca. I can’t speak highly enough.

The hotel location is great, just 5 mins walk from the pier with many great restaurants. It’s also close to the city centre. The staff are also super helpful. They gave us a lot of information about how to get around and booked the restaurants for us. Rooms are a little old but kept very clean. I will certainly come back when I visit Hobart again.

YYuanGood location. Close to both CBD and Sandy Bay. The kitchenette is very convenient. There was an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, pots and pans and knives and forks, but no chopsticks. Free internet. Front desk closes at 9 pm, but you can enter and exit multiple doors at anytime with your room card. Free parking space. Luggage storage is available. Let us check in at 12 noon. For sleeping, there is a powerful air conditioner, but only two thin blankets and the mattress is too soft. A$6 for continental breakfast, but you have to fill out a form to order. A$6 for both washing machine or dryer. Free laundry powder or liquid. Wellington Mountain and a corner view of the ocean from your room!

PPengguna TetamuWhat a super little hostel! Excellent location just minutes from the waterfront. Lovely man in reception - they always give a tour of facilities. Hostel is set in an old Victorian house which is delightful. Large well- equipped kitchen, free food available from previous guests. A lovely garden although it had yappy dogs in it so I wasn’t a fan. Beautiful upstairs verandah with comfortable seating, and sofas in other spaces to no shortage of places to relax.
I was in a female four bed dorm which was a bit tight for space but I saw other rooms which seemed more spacious with wider beds. I loved the individual lights and fans for each bed. My bottom bunk had a curtain but I wouldn’t have like being in a top bunk as they didn’t, so you were exposed to the main light going o etc.
The only thing that spoiled my stay was the same thing that spoils every stay I’ve had when travelling - thoughtless guests who make noise early in the morning/late at night. The three girls sharing my room got up at various times from 5.30 onwards so needless to say my morning did not start well! Hostel management can’t do much about that though.
Immaculately clean bathrooms and a good vibe. I’d definitely stay here again, but in a private room!

The rooms were clean and spacious, with plenty of space for luggages and packing of any items, which I would reckon be a plus point for anyone flying off soon, given the proximity of HBA airport (17 mins away). The showers were clean and the toilet and room heater kept us very warm and toasty. Had my reservations about this place but was happily surprised at how my travellers and I enjoyed our stay. Do arrive before 6pm before the reception closes!

PPengguna TetamuIn a good spot for buses to and from Hobart. Had plenty of parking for those with cars. TV left a lot to be desired, ie had sound but rarely picture. Heating worked well. Shower was good. Easy to hear those outside but as they tend to be trades persons they go to bed early, during the week. Bed was comfortable; small bar fridge but adequate for my needs; microwave and water jug worked well. Five minute walk from Coles and about 10 minutes to Woolworths. Have stayed there a few times and I keep coming back, especially with Trip.com prices.

MMattyFThe bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style.

PPengguna TetamuStay for a week while waiting for settlement date for a new house. Most of the staff at the bar/ check in were great. Housekeeping were awesome,cleaned and replenished things every day. It was a nice experience.

PPengguna TetamuStayed here for 2 nights. Location is excellent in city centre with plenty of amenities around the hotel. Room is clean, spacious and installed with AC that comes with heater function to warm the room. The front-office staffs are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Tin and Antonia who went the extra mile to solve my car park issue. Highly recommended and will return for my next visit to Hobart.
