Hotel berhampiran Hoevense Beemden, Hoeven

I travelled as part of a shearings 4 night coach trip. We arrived late into the evening thankfully check in was very quick and painless. The entranceway to the hotel is lovely and has a pleasant outdoor seating area, although mainly used by the smokers I had a room on the 2nd floor with a nice view of windmill. My room was spacious, although fairly basic, but it had everything I needed. This included a kettle, coffee maker, and fridge. Unfortunately, only paper cups available which weren't replaced for the 4 days so I had to rinse these out. The beds were comfortable enough and the room had 2 chairs and a table. There was a lift. No issues with the room Unfortunately the same can't be said about the rude staff in the restaurant. On the bus we were asked if we wanted to book an evening meal this was 3 courses, I didn't want 3 courses. No other options available so that night we tried to just go for a meal in the restaurant. The older gentleman shouted at us saying we should have booked via the coach driver we tried to explain we didn't want 3 courses but was told to go away. Needless to say we walked into town just a couple of minutes away and had a lovely meal. If they don't want to serve the burgers which are displayed on the tables then don't!!! Thankfully there is an Aldi nearby and the lovely town with a couple of food options is only around a 10 minute walk away. Although the breakfast was lovely I really can't see us returning or recommending this hotel. I would suggest going somewhere with nicer staff who actually want to give good service

Bij binnenkomst naar het restaurant viel meteen de ruw houten wandbekleding op wat misschien wel leuk kan zijn in een jeugdherberg maar zeker niet wat ons betreft in een hotel/restaurant. Geen mooie en uitnodigende sfeer dus... Ondanks dat onze komst was aangekondigd verliep de bediening zeer chaotisch ondanks dat de hoofdpersoon in onze groep tot viermaal duidelijk aangaf hoe zij de volgorde wilde hebben om niet de soep tegelijk met de koffie te serveren om maar een deel van de missers van het ondeskundig personeel te benoemen. Gaandeweg probeerde de dame ”in charge” te redden wat er te redden viel en deed dat op een zeer charmante wijze en toonde alsnog deskundigheid. Dat maakt dan weer veel goed maar wel jammer dat het daarvoor allemaal zo stroef verliep. Overigens moet gezegd worden dat het aanbod goed was voor de lunch en de producten waren van goede kwaliteit. Toch zijn wij niet gauw meer geneigd om dit restaurant uit te kiezen als wij weer iets met een groep van ca. 15 personen willen, vooral omdat er in de directe omgeving wel horecagelegenheden zijn waar het wel allemaal goed loopt.

Op zich geen slecht hotel. Maar om tot rust te komen moet je daar niet meer zijn. Wat enkele jaren geleden wel de ideale plaats was. Personeel heel luidruchtig onder elkaar, bij het avond eten heb je de indruk dat je zo snel mogelijk van t’ tafel moet, in de wellness ook heel onrustig ( of wij hadden juist de pech dat er een groepje jonge dames daar hun uitstapje hadden gepland). Na dit te melden bij het uitchecken kregen wel de raad om dit op het moment zelf te melden zodat er kan opgetreden worden,. Is dan weer een positief punt. Kamers zijn wat verouderd maar netjes. Nee, aanraden aan vrienden doen we niet meer.

Unacceptable standard taking into consideration how much they are charging. This should not happen in 2023. This is my 3rd stay in this hotel. Standards have fallen to unacceptable levels. Firstly, charging for parking in a quiet neighbourhood where no one will visit is criminal. Secondly, avoid at all cost during the summer period. The AC does not work and I was awake the whole night. Opening the windows did not even help. Thirdly, as an Accor member, you are treated with complimentary water. This hotel charges a whooping €6 for a bottle of water. Have travelled the world and no one does this. This is what I call unacceptable levels of profiteering. What a rip off. Never ever will I step foot in this hotel. I came here again because of past good memories and what a regret. The management should be ashamed of themselves.

Nice new hotel (open from march 2024), modern equipped clean rooms and frendly (young) personnel, good food. Situated almost in the city centre of Breda (15 minutes walk through the trainstation and city park) and besides the train and bus station. It's easy to park your car next door at the P&R parkinglot on top of the trainstation. Very nice location for a city visit.

Nice hotel close to the centre of Breda. 15 minutes walk from the train station through the park. 5 minutes walk from the Grote Markt and numerous bars, restaurants and shopping. The room was of a good size and the super kingsize bed was very comfortable however the pillows were soft. We had a superior room on the 4th floor at the back of the hotel so the room was very quiet and looked over some lowrise apatrtments. The bathroom was a good size with a bathtub and shower. The water was always hot. We didn't eat in the hotel but we used the bar a few times. It was reasonably priced compared to the bars in the centre of town. All the staff we met were friendly, professional and courteous. We would stay in this hotel again and would recommend it to friends and family.

Very modern convenient hotel, with excellent services of the hotel team. Breakfast is in La Palace, which is very good. Overall good. Due to KFC, McDonalds and the deposed garbage on the common parking place, during an evening walk a lot of rats observed !
