Driftwood Inn

Such a great place. So awesome to support a family business instead of some corporate mega hotel. If you are in Homer, make this a destination for you to stay at. Great slice of history to partake in. Hotel is a great location that is off the beaten path and allows you to step back in history for a bit.

I stay in the RV park in my camper van. I like the location, because it is an easy walk to Bishop's Beach, and it is quieter than some of the bigger more crowded RV parks. Staff is helpful with anything needed. Pretty sure I will be staying there again

Clean, classic Homer with the modern renovation that keeps us all coming back! The Driftwood Inn is one of the most interesting historic buildings in the entirety of Homer. Modern, bright, and thoughtfully updated, the rooms are welcome refuge for travelers, birdwatchers, halibut fishers, and adventurers of all *****es. The location on the edge of Bishop's Beach is impossible to beat. Across the street (literally) are the undisputed best crepes and mimosas in town at WILD HONEY (thank me later). Walk home later tonight from AJ's Steakhouse; another Homer staple tucked across the street. The Driftwood Inn is quite possibly the last place in America to cosplay a day in the life of the happiest seaside town in the United States. The staff will restore your faith in the goodness of the American public. It is precisely for this reason that I recommend Driftwood so highly: you will leave Homer questioning whether you simply took a trip, or had an actual human experience. See you soon, J+L

It’s boutique & cozy enough to justify the moderately priced rooms. However, if the only metrics graded were “Staff & Personality” then they would be undercharging.

There is no other place in Homer we want to stay. The Driftwood has the best staff, everyone is so kind and helpful. We are often stuck in Homer due to weather delays and the staff so kindly helps us and is very patient. We love the rooms, perfect for a family and the location is ideal for walking to the beach, dinners at A.Js, breakfasts at Wild Honey or Two Sisters.

I stayed at both the Inn and Woodside. Adrienne, Lilly, Kamden, Amber, Vicky and the whole staff treat you like family. An absolute must stay when you come to Homer. The Inn is charming and cozy, full of history. AJ's Steakhouse, another great Venue, is right across the street. The views are magnificent and you can walk down to the beach on Kachemak Bay.

We had a very comfortable stay. The rooms and home were lovely. It is a great place for a group. It allows privacy when wanted and space to share when feeling social. The view and beach walks were a bonus! Very clean! Staff were helpful and cheerful.

We always stay at the Driftwood when we come to Homer. Without exception they are so friendly and helpful. Last spring break as we walked from our car to the Inn with small children the owners came to check on us because there was a moose in the area, this was above and beyond thoughtful. The rooms are clean, some are pet friendly, and within walking distance to our favorite beach and restaurants. We always recommend The Driftwood Inn to visitors.

We had a beautiful ocean view RV spot. Everything was clean and spotless, not an ounce of trash anywhere. The staff is fun, friendly and informative. We pulled in late at night, tired and hungry, they recommended an amazing restaurant, they picked up the phone while we were checking in, made a reservation for us so we could get there before the restaurant closed. How nice is that? I can’t say enough about this wonderful Alaskan hotel and RV park.
