Not too bad, relatively clean and hit showers and cool air conditioning. Beds were reasonably comfy.

Very basic, good for 1-2 nights. The shower floods the bathroom because it's super small. The water is nice and hot and they clean the room every day. Slippers and towels are provided. Value for money is okay. Unfortunately, you can hear a lot of street noise.

We stayed in a room on the 16th floor, on the same floor as the admin unit. The room is small but clean, tiled floors and walls, and comes with air conditioning and a hot shower. There’s a TV and hair dryer, though we didn’t use them. The shower can be used as a bidet, which is convenient. The room also includes mirrors, a telephone, shampoo & body wash, tissue, two towels, pillows, and a comforter. There are enough hanging hooks on the walls for your belongings. Outside the room, there’s a small shared space with a microwave and free water dispenser. The guest house staff cleans every day and changes the towels, which is nice. Wi-Fi password is available at the back of the main door. The owner is Indian, and his staff are Filipino, all very helpful and friendly. If you need to check out early, you can simply leave the keys, which is very convenient. Overall, it’s a clean, functional, and well-maintained guest house, good for travelers looking for a simple and comfortable stay in Hong Kong.

Note upfront: The front desk clearly states 'NO REFUNDS', so once you pay, there's no turning back. Please be aware that the front desk is on the 16th floor; remember to go there first. Three-day experience report: Room entry: Horrible. A strange, fishy smell immediately hits you, somewhat pungent but you get used to it after a while. The room is very small; there's only space for a suitcase at the foot of the bed. The width from the side of the bed to the wall is about an arm's length, enough for one stout person to stand sideways or two slim people to squeeze in. The bed is 0.9 meters wide. The door is slightly angled towards the bed, roughly at an 11 o'clock direction. Bathroom: Okay. The shower space is acceptable. Remember to grab toilet paper from under the table outside. There's no wet/dry separation (don't expect it at this price point!). The toilet space is a bit cramped; people 1.7 meters tall or more might find it a bit tight when using the toilet. Hygiene: Concerning. There are traces on the wall tiles where something was wiped but not completely cleaned. The pillowcases, bed sheets, and towels have some visible marks. I didn't use the quilt, so I can't comment on it. On the bedside table, you can see tiny insects smaller than sesame seeds; their number seems to increase with the duration of your stay, eventually crawling onto the bed. I witnessed some tiny arthropods near the hairdryer. Personal toiletries consist only of toilet paper and towels; you need to bring your own toothbrush and cups. Experience: Average. The bed and pillows are quite hard. Due to the concerning hygiene, I didn't dare to fully enjoy them, but considering the price range, it was still acceptable. Facilities: Concerning. My phone had no signal upon entering the room, but there's Wi-Fi near the door with an acceptable speed. The air conditioning's cooling function was broken. There's a Chinese standard two-prong adapter in the room, but it's broken, and the sockets are a bit loose (perhaps it was an issue with my own adapter?). There's a TV in the room angled towards the bed, but I didn't use it. A clock hangs directly above the door, but it's stopped. There's a refrigerator under the bedside table, but it's not working. The shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the bathroom are empty. Be careful, the water heater is cold on the left and hot on the right; turning it sharply to the right will unleash lava. The bathroom exhaust fan emits an unsettling sound. I didn't use the hairdryer, so no comment. Price (considering absolute price only, not value for money): Top-tier. Below hostels/Chungking Mansions, but above many hotels and guesthouses. Location: Divine. Exit Tsim Sha Tsui D1, walk 10 meters, turn left, then stick to the left-hand shops, and you'll find the building entrance. The elevator speed and capacity are average; about six or seven slim people or five or six stout people will overload it. Turn right, then right again after exiting the building, and you'll find the MTR station (may vary depending on your specific area). If you can't find the MTR station, just walk around the perimeter of the building. Service attitude: Okay. The owner is reportedly a Filipino lady and seems to only support English, so some spoken English ability is required. I checked in past 2 AM due to a flight delay, and even then, the owner's attitude was acceptable (but remember to call if there's a delay). Safety: Difficult to judge? You need a card to enter the hotel's room area, but your own room door uses a key; the door has a spherical lock in a very old-fashioned style. Regarding building safety, generally, as long as you don't return too late, there won't be many problems. Like other buildings, it's a mixed model of hotels and residential areas, so there are all sorts of people, and many foreigners stay there, but that's not a big issue. What I really want to say is, be wary of strange humanoid entities. Once, on my way back to my room, I saw an old man in the corridor making strange noises and walking with odd postures and gaits. Even as a man, I found it a bit scary. The above review is a semi-objective, semi-subjective assessment based on my experience in the room I stayed in (6FD2 area), and is only valid for this room. The hotel inside Mirador Mansion, arrive in the middle of night, the rception on 16 floor, at first they give the room with twin bedroom in the same floor near the reception but the aircon is broken, the lady suggest that the fan also cold enough, but i don't accept it, with a long wait (bcoz she has to talks to the owner), then she give other room with queen bedroom wich she said that it's upgrade but (i don't think so). The room is like a picture but with poor condition. Size is small, amenities just soap n shampoo in bathroom, kettle and microwave in pantry, fortunately just beside my room. At first hotel in mirador will be better than chungking, but after try it 11 12 level. If u have enough money better in other hotel or building. Thanks God the trip is enjoyful😍

I stayed for 3 nights each in 2 different single rooms, nov 19-nov 21and dec 1-dec 3. Both rooms are small, clean and with harmonious light color tones, well equipped with private shower washroom, WiFi, air conditioner, television, small fridge and calling phone. One room has a hairdryer, the other I forgot. Besides the calling phone, the desktop is big enough for a computer and 2 dishes. 2 to 3 electric sockets, one occupied by the fridge. Hot water dispensers and microwave ovens in the corridors outside the rooms added to the convenience. I would consider the place as having a high value-cost ratio.

(Rated based on similar hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, same price range) My second stay at Pearl Premium Guest House, and still the best option I’ve found in this area for the price. Located in Mirador Mansion, which feels cleaner and newer than Chungking Mansion. They always send clear arrival instructions and a thank-you note, which I appreciate. Only downside: my room this time didn’t have a hairdryer (my previous one did). Overall, a cheap, clean, safe choice in Tsim Sha Tsui — definitely better than staying in Chungking Mansion.

The room is okay. I didn't expect the perfect room after I read the reviews before I booked. But the BIGGEST problem for me is smell. It's soo fishy and I spray my pillow mist every 30 mins. But it's not better 😠 please remind yourself before you book. So It's that okay for stay 1 night. But I would not recommend for long stay and women solo traveler. There are some local people who they stay around this building. They didn't nice to foreigner. (If you like to come back the room after 10 p.m.) Be careful!!

The place is conveniently located along Nathan Road, making it easily accessible via various modes of transportation, including buses and the MTR. It’s also just a short walk to the Avenue of Stars, which is a big plus. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and straightforward. The room is adequately sized for two people, and considering the affordable daily rate, it offers decent value. However, I must highlight a major concern: cleanliness. The room was noticeably dusty, from the bed and curtains to the corners and especially the air conditioning unit. If you have asthma, allergies, or any sensitivity to dust or poor air circulation, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU. I strongly urge the owner to do a deep clean, including heavy vacuuming and proper maintenance of the air conditioning system. Cleanliness is non-negotiable. No matter how convenient the location or how affordable the price, a dusty environment compromises the comfort and safety of guests. Location: 10/10 Cleanliness: 1/10

It's an older building, but easy to find—just take the elevator straight to the 16th floor. The elevator's quite small though, fits maybe 5 people max. The location is excellent, really close to both the MTR station and the Star Ferry pier. If you're looking for good value for money, this place is a solid choice. But if you have high expectations, you might want to look elsewhere.

Mid-shower, the hot water cut out. The noise from the street was unbearable all night – constant beeping from the traffic lights downstairs, roaring cars. I could even hear people talking clearly on the street below, making it impossible to sleep. Plus, the curtains didn't block out any light.

There were cockroaches and ants in the room, the hairdryer was broken, and I had to borrow the TV remote from the front desk because it was missing. The AC vent blew directly onto the head of the bed; it was too close, and even after adjusting the direction and setting it to the lowest fan speed, my head still felt cold. If I turned around to sleep the other way, I couldn't see the TV.
