Ulasan Kerry Hotel Hong Kong by Shangri-la

As a renowned, long-standing five-star hotel, my recent stay was extremely disappointing. I had to move rooms in the middle of the night with my sleeping child on my back because of outdoor construction noise ⚠️ that made it impossible to sleep. Can anyone believe this is the standard a five-star hotel should uphold? Where is the management quality the Kerry Group once had?

The room was quite spacious for Hong Kong standards. The Deluxe Seaview room had a bathtub, but without a transparent glass partition, enjoying a bath while gazing at the sea wasn't an option. It offered a genuine, largely unobstructed sea view, and downstairs there was a garden and a restaurant where you could order food while enjoying the sea breeze – very pleasant. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the service attitude was excellent; they proactively processed a no-deposit check-in for us. The hotel is less than a ten-minute walk from Whampoa MTR station, with an exit right opposite the large ship at Whampoa Garden. Plus, there's a ferry every 40 minutes from Hung Hom Pier downstairs to Central, costing just HKD 10.6 for an air-conditioned ride – incredibly convenient! I would definitely consider staying here again.

I was staying in room 1221 , I have a very comfy stay in your hotel. I want to give a huge compliment to your front desk duty Miss Josie Chu , she is very polite and have a very friendly smile , she assisted me on my check in and gave me a wonderful room as I was expecting with a beautiful sea view so I can relax , and it was so nice of her to gave me a late check out and it was perfect and she also assisted me on my check out. It was so wonderful to be assisted by the same person during check out.

Facilities: The bedding is comfortable, the room is spacious, and there's a sofa and a desk, perfect for working. Environment: The unbeatable sea view room is absolutely stunning; watching the ocean every day just washes all worries away. Service: I'm particularly happy with this hotel. The facilities are quite new, and most of the staff are very friendly, unlike other Hong Kong hotels where service might vary. They actively helped with luggage and assisted with a quick check-out, among other things. Food: Breakfast is very rich, with many Chinese dishes, excellent Western options, and local specialties like rice noodles and instant noodles, all tasting great. Hygiene: It's very clean, with a wet and dry separation bathroom that includes a bathtub. Overall, I'm very satisfied and it's definitely worth coming back for a second or third stay.

My stay at Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong (a Shangri-La Hotel) was filled with highlights, from the accommodation to the dining! Hong Kong is a city where every inch of land is precious, so being able to stay in such a spacious sea-view room for around 2500 HKD offered far better value for money than expected, clearly outshining accommodations at a similar price point in Shanghai. The hotel, part of the Shangri-La Group, maintained its consistently excellent quality. While enjoying breakfast at the restaurant, I had to communicate with the staff using broken English and Cantonese, as they weren't very familiar with Mandarin, but this didn't detract from the delicious food at all. A special mention goes to the "Omelette" – a Western breakfast specialty in Hong Kong, made by pan-frying beaten eggs with various ingredients. The omelette we ordered was incredibly smooth and rich in egg flavor. Even though it took two or three attempts to get the order right, it was so delicious that it left a lasting impression, proving popular even among foreign guests. Strategically located in Hung Hom Bay, the hotel boasts convenient transportation and breathtaking sea views. Whether it was the comfortable accommodation, the exquisite dining, or the attentive service, everything contributed to making this trip to Hong Kong exceptionally fulfilling. It's truly a high-quality choice that I wholeheartedly recommend!

We stayed at Kerry for 4 nights with a toddler and an infant (2.5 months old). The hotel staff are extremely attentive and considerate. We arrived in the early morning. Seeing that we travelled with 2 small kids from far, the reception staff gave us a temporary room to rest before our booked room was ready. In the temporary room, our elder son fell out of bed and knocked his face at the corner of the marble bed side table, the room service immediately sent staff with medical care and followed up all the time. They also prepared our booked room kids friendly. The breakfast was very nice with lots of options. When the staff saw me carried a baby and food, they always came immediately to help. The hotel location is perfect, with beautiful view facing the harbour and many shops / restaurants / public transport nearby, but not too as busy and crowded. The hotel room is very spacious and well maintained. The bed is very comfortable. We all enjoyed very much of he stay and would definitely go back again.

The environment is great, and the hotel is conveniently located right next to the Hung Hom Ferry Pier. In the evenings, it's a pleasant half-hour stroll along Victoria Harbour from the Avenue of Stars, enjoying the sea breeze, right to the hotel. Service: The front desk lady who checked me in was lovely, very gentle and attentive, and happy to help with anything. The concierge staff were also super friendly; the service was top-notch, helping to bring my luggage to the room. When I had to switch rooms due to noise, it was also handled very smoothly. Basically, any request you have is addressed immediately, which is really great. It's also very close to Whampoa Station, making it easy to get anywhere. Overall, it's excellent, and all the staff are incredibly friendly and kind.

I'm giving Kerry Hotel five stars again for another stay. Their sea-view rooms and infinity pool are highly recommended; you get an amazing panoramic view of Victoria Harbour. The mini-fridge also comes stocked with complimentary beer, coconut water, and apple juice. The lobby is spacious and bright with plenty of seating. Breakfast is incredibly rich and varied. However, a few staff members at Hung Tong restaurant could improve their service.

I booked a deluxe sea-view king room, and the friendly front desk staff upgraded me to an even larger suite. The sea view was incredible, and the hotel facilities were very well-maintained. Plus, the mini-bar drinks were complimentary! The hotel is right by the sea, next to the ferry terminal. There are plenty of dining options in the residential area to the east, and the food court downstairs at the hotel is also excellent, offering a wide variety of cuisines. The hotel is conveniently located right above a bus terminal, making it easy to get around – even faster than waiting for a taxi during the holidays!

I booked the Ultra-Luxury Sea View room this time. The room was quite spacious with a great view. The service didn't particularly stand out, but I was really impressed by a young lady from housekeeping. Apparently, she's from Sichuan and married into Hong Kong; she was very warm and chatty. It's about a ten-minute walk to the Avenue of Stars, and it's also quite convenient to find places to eat nearby, with plenty of options within a 10-20 minute walk. Taking the ferry to Central on the other side is also pretty convenient. The buffet breakfast was standard Shangri-La fare, nothing majorly wrong with it, but nothing amazing either. The only thing I have to complain about is that the shower drain was extremely slow. If two people showered one after another, it would probably flood the bathroom.

The room was spacious and offered a great view of Victoria Harbour, plus they allowed a free extra bed for children, which were definitely the highlights of this hotel. However, the location isn't very convenient; it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the subway station, which feels long in the heat, and there aren't many dining options nearby. Getting around was quite difficult without a taxi. Also, the deposit refund process was incredibly slow; they told me it would take about a month to get my Alipay deposit back. Overall, it's pretty suitable for a family trip, but if I come back, I'd probably look at other hotels.

Overall experience is superb I book the club room and able to enjoy the breakfast tea break and dinner at the lounge the food and the service is amazing

Beautiful hotel, everything you need is close by. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
