Hotel di Mong Kok, Hong Kong

I recently stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel in Hong Kong and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are larger than typical accommodations in the city, providing a comfortable space to relax. Additionally, the pricing is reasonable for the quality and amenities offered, making it great value for money. The hotel is conveniently located near Moko Mall and just a short walk from the MTR station, which makes it perfect for shopping and exploring the city. Overall, I highly recommend the Royal Plaza Hotel for its spaciousness, value, and excellent location, and I look forward to returning in the future!

The location is superb; the airport shuttle drops you right at the hotel entrance, and Prince Edward MTR station is right next door. Plus, there are direct buses to mainland China just outside the hotel's side exit – truly well-connected! The front desk staff kindly upgraded my room upon check-in, which was a pleasant surprise for such a friendly price. The room itself was clean and comfortable, very satisfied! 👍 Staying in Mong Kok really lets you experience old Hong Kong life, perfect for a city walk.

The room size was pretty good, and I think it offers decent value for money in Hong Kong. The only minor issues were that the lighting was a bit dim and the bathroom door lock was faulty – you needed someone to help align it to get it to latch. The lobby connects directly to Langham Place, which is very convenient. I even stumbled upon a Kuromi pop-up there! Some of the facilities did feel a bit dated, which is understandable. I didn't experience anything particularly standout service-wise. The 'welcome' feeling actually came from the security guard at check-in and the cleaning lady. The front desk staff also helped arrange a twin room, which was nice.

Had a pleasant stay in this hotel. The room was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable and just right for me and my son. The daily room service was a great touch—they provided fresh towels, tissues, and neatly fixed the bed each day. While there was no bidet, the handheld shower served as a convenient alternative. The amenities were complete as described, though guests should bring their own toothbrush and toothpaste. One of the best things about this place was its accessibility. It was conveniently close to the bus station for airport transfers and just a short walk to Mong Kok MTR station, making it easy to explore the city. Overall, a nice and hassle-free stay! Sorry, I wasn't able to take pic of the room. Forgot, we are too busy during our stay, super enjoyed the stay, because it was close to everything you need. Literally room for sleep for us.

I love this One Dundas serviced apartment — this is actually my second time booking the same place! This time, I requested a bigger room, and it was even better than I expected. The moment I walked in, I didn’t even feel like going out shopping — the air conditioning was excellent, and the room had everything I needed. There’s a nice kitchen with a stove, a large refrigerator, and an open bar where I could enjoy breakfast. The living room was cozy with a TV and beautiful city views. The bedroom was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and modern. The cleaner was so friendly — they refilled refreshing sparkling water every day and even took care of the trash regularly. The location is super convenient — easy to get to anywhere! Next time I go back to Hong Kong, I’ll definitely rebook this serviced apartment. Honestly, it feels even better than staying in a 5-star hotel. It’s warm, welcoming, and truly feels like home. Highly recommend!

Pros: 1. The location is decent. It's about a 10-minute walk to Mong Kok and Mong Kok East MTR stations, roughly one kilometer away. The hotel seems to have a bus, but I'm not sure where it goes, so I didn't take it. 2. The room size isn't too cramped, and the beds can be pushed together. The bathroom has basic wet and dry separation, and the mirror is large. You can see Lion Rock in the distance from the window. 3. The lobby has a vending machine for怡宝 (C'estbon) mineral water, priced at HKD 3 a bottle, which is excellent value for money in Hong Kong. Cons: 1. Due to the terrain, you have to go up a floor after entering the hotel to check in. 2. The hallway smells strongly of mildew after exiting the elevator. The facilities are a bit old but still acceptable. 3. The sink and shower drain very slowly, causing water to pool easily when showering. 4. The room price during National Day was severely inflated, making the HKD 1000+ per night rate extremely poor value and completely overpriced.

The room was a good size for HK even though the large king size bed almost filled it entirely. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. It's well located and they sell bottled water for cheaper than you'll find in the stores. The staff were not particularly friendly but they did not charge us when we spilled coffee on the bedding and they allowed a late check-out so I'm grateful.

Guesthouse is tucked in a little corner at level 23 of the building. The escalator also serves a club(?) at level 6 and 7. The unit was cut into several smaller rooms, and it was small (as expected) and clean. They provide shampoo and body wash. As a female solo traveller it was a bit intimidating going up and down the lift (was harassed by a drunk in the lift on the first night 🥲) and walking down the cigarette smoke-smelling corridor. Walls were thin and I could hear the other guest crying(???). The building probably was also shared by other residential tenants. the location was great! Near to Mongkok MTR and A21 airport bus is just slightly down the road.

The main reason is that the address at the time of booking on Ctrip.com does not match the actual address at the time of check-in, which caused trouble. The disturbance on the street for a long time affected the check-in time, which in turn affected the mood of check-in. In addition, facilities generally refer to toilets. The house is designed to accommodate eight people, but it is unreasonable to only design one toilet. Other health conditions are acceptable, and the location and transportation are convenient.
