This location is the best. 1 block from the beach, within walking distance to anything you want in Waikiki. The lobby is an open, grand lobby. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I was very concerned about the hotel when I got off the elevator on the 14th floor. The hallways are dated and uninviting. However, upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, plenty spacious for a solo traveler (and would be acceptable for 2 travelers), and had a great view of the ocean. The continental breakfast offered fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, toast, and waffles. The best part of the stay was Leo at the bell desk. He was extremely friendly, and provided excellent service (he even noticed that I dropped my apple watch cover and held it for me until my return later that day). Be sure to get to know Leo, and don't forget to tip your service providers!

Second time staying at the SurfJack this year and honestly I’ll never stay anywhere else! It has the best retro vibes and the staff is always top notch! Such an eclectic atmosphere. The evening entertainment is always good. Love the music they play throughout the day as well. Rooms are very nice. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

건물이 오래된 것에 비해 방 상태는 양호했습니다. 개인적으로 오션뷰라서 그런가 방 전경도 훌륭했습니다. 직원들이 친절하고 얼리 체크인을 선뜻 도와주어 너무 고마웠습니다. 호텔 바로 옆에 한인마트, 7/11, 파리바게트가 있어서 편리했습니다. 공항도 시티버스 20번을 타면 접근성이 좋습니다.

午前に飛行機が到着したので早めに休みたいと思い、予定よりも早めのチェックインをしましたが、追加料金はありませんでした。受付の方はとても親切に説明していただきました。
客室の良い点ですが、ベッドはとても綺麗にメイキングされておりとてもフカフカでした。またバルコニーもついており、ビーチ側の客室だととても心地が良いです。
ホテルの立地はとてもよく、ビーチや市内巡回バス停も近く観光をするにはとても良い立地です。鶏が外にいて、たまに彼らの音で目が覚めました。
客室のマイナス点ですが、客室のドアがとても重い上にうまく閉まらない時が何度かありました。また、シャワーの扉が完全に閉まらなく、シャワー中外に水が漏れてしまうことが多々ありました。
また、コーヒーメーカーのコーヒーがとても古く酸化していました。
ホテルの立地のマイナス点ですが、夜のクラブのような音、周囲の治安（公園の住人がウロついてる）が少しありました。
We stayed this hotel for 3days.
Our airplane was arrived early so we wanted to rest. We did early check in, but there was no extra fee.
Positive point
• Bed making was great, clean
• All room have balcony
• location was very nice, near the beach, shopping area, high brand shops ex
• On every Friday, we can see a fireworks at the beach
• In the morning, rosters? hens? shout their noise, so it made me wake up easier.
Negative point
• Our room’s door was so heavy and sometimes we can’t close it very well.
• Shower room’s door can’t close perfectly, so sometimes the floor got little bit wet.
• the coffee maker’s coffee powder was very old and included oxygen, so taste was not really good.
• Sometimes, noise of the clubhouse was so loud and it made me uncomfortable to sleep.

We stayed in room 911. The place was clean and tidy. Exceptional view of the Ocean and Diamond head. Front desk staff did an outstanding job. Special Kudos to Jonathan. Mark Howard the property manager kept in contact with us throughout the 2 week stay. Great communication and was insuring we were taken care of. No resort fees and parking was only 30 dollars a day. Small garage but worked just fine. Just a block to the beach and perfect location. I would definitely stay here again. No bugs. woohoo.... It is an older property but is in very good condition and well maintained / clean. Get a car and explore the island.

The location is amazing, very close to Waikiki Beach.
Another great thing was the balcony with an eccellent view: Diamond Head and the Ocean.
Room itself was quite dated and bit rusty, but nothing horrible or too much disappointing.

- Good daily room cleanliness.
- Breakfast is provided, but the billed cost is considerable, so it is recommended to solve it outside other than once or twice.
-Valet parking and kindness were very good.
- When booking the hotel, it was announced that it was a trip to celebrate the 35th wedding anniversary, but there was no congratulatory message or consideration at all.

BByueung GyuIf you want enjoy Waikiki beach this hotel will be one of best choice. They gave little upgraded room for us and last day they gave concierge room for taking shower and changing clothes after checking out. We should made line for sun beds from 7:30 morning. We can enjoy swimming pool and beach both sides whole day. Very famous Dukes restaurant located lower lobby floor together with swimming pools we can order foods and drinks really easy and live music from the restaurant every 4 pm was making really nice vibes~~

As per usual Resort Fees added that don't enhance the stay.
They have DVD rentals because the tvs are outdated (non-smart). Resort is still kinda worth it since other hotels in the area decrease in quality.
I was only r here for a conference. Wouldn't stay as a traveler, might stay if i was a lazy couple or had a large family.
The hotel deals only benefit members, if youre a non-member and went a deal...for example, reduced fee on rooftop lau (original price 230usd per person) you need to sit through a 2 hour timescam...time share to get a ticket for 50 usd.
Views frim the beach and lagoon are nice.

My husband and I stayed here for our ”babymoon”, we got a premium corner room facing the mountain range and it was super romantic to sit on the balcony in the morning to watch the sunrise. Wayfinder Waikiki has thought of everything that would make your stay better, the receptionist gives you a card with their personal recommendations upon check in and also offers free rentals to make your beach day more fun! The vintage modern Hawaiian decor throughout the hotel is so chic, from the rooms to the pool! The location is perfect, only a 6 minute walk to the beach and the main *****, plus an ABC store on the same block! My husband loved the ”Grown Alchemist” bath products in the bathroom and the comfortable king size bed. Staff from reception, valet, restaurants and housekeeping were very friendly and welcoming, which we also loved. Everything was perfect for our babymoon and we would love to stay here again!

JJordan NicholasOur recent stay at Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu was a blend of highs and lows, with its strengths balanced by a few notable drawbacks. Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there.
Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commi**ent to hygiene that was commendable.
Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity.
Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for.
In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience.

The beaches are 100 meters away. The famous hotels Moana Surfrider and Hyatt Regency are across the street. Royal Waikiki Center is a beautiful mall nearby. There are a lot of luxury retail stores and restaurants in the mall.

PPengguna TetamuUhhhhh..... We stayed in this hotel because our flight got in late and we needed a place close to the airport to crash for one night. This hotel fits that purpose well. That said, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for any other situation other than the one I just described. They were pumping sewage right outside of our door the morning we woke up. Also, our room key didn't work the morning we were checking out. The only other positive of this hotel is that it is within walking distance of THE BEST little food place we came across on our whole trip: Joe's Grill Express. We cannot wait to come back so we can visit Joe's again.
