Great location with free parking. Friendly, efficient staff and the room was clean and comfortable. Decent WiFi and TV had several English speaking channels. Only tiny quibble was the hairdryer which wouldn't have been able to blow out a candle (first world problems and not worth dropping a star!).

Réservation que nous avons fait à la dernière minute et malgré cela l'hôtel nous a reçu de la meilleure des façons. Très bonne réception, la chambre a été prise très rapidement, l'endroit nous était idéal. Petite chambre mais tout y était. De plus nous avons égaré une paire de lunette et l'équipe s'est chargée de nous l'a renvoyer ! Bravo et merci !

Vriendelijke ontvangst. De ligging is heel goed. Kamer voor de prijs die wij betaald hebben nog net oké. (63 euro voor 2) De kamer had een onfrisse geur door de afloop. (Putjesgeur) Geen minibar zoals beschreven. WIFI werkte niet. Ontbijt van 8 tot 10 waarbij om 9 uur spek en eieren en pistolets op waren. Ontbijtruimte was niet proper. Koffiemachine, microgolfoven, tafellaken waar het eten op stond waren vies. Overal stof en vuiligheid. Veel dingen stuk....kasten die uit elkaar hangen, gaten in de muur,bespoten die los staan, sigarettenpeuken die rondslingeren, .... Deur waar alles van was en producten opgeborgen stond stond open, wat was dat? Gewoonweg onverzorgd. Electriciteit uitgevallen rond middernacht. Zijn ze komen oplossen na gebeld te hebben. Een uur later zit de rest van het hotel zonder stroom. Een mooi gebouw maar er zit geen ziel in. Laat je niet verblinden door de foto's. Dit hotel is dringend toe aan renovatie en een grote schoonmaakbeurt.

It is a great hotel, but it can be a better one if it hire quality staff.
The front desk staff ( chubby guy with a glasses ) is a bit rude, throwing my passport to the desk after confirming the details.
That’s make me wonder whether Belgians are in general that unfriendly, especially unfriendly to asian like me?

Standaard kamer voor 1 nacht in het modern ingerichte Marriott hotel in Gent gehad. Mooi ingerichte lobby, futuristisch aandoende hal waar de slaapvertrekken zich bevinden in een tijdloze, strakke en moderne stijl, evenals de slaapkamer en badkamer. Mini market voor een late snack in de lobby aanwezig, mooie aanvulling aangezien de locatie niet nabij een winkelstraat ligt.
Alle vertrekken waren schoon en fris. Heerlijk bed (stevig, iets te zacht matras, goede vering), slaapvertrek was warm, iets te warm gedurende de nacht (donzen dekbed), aanrechtblad met inbouwkoelkast, koffiezetapparaat, bar aanwezig. Verduisterde ramen, kiepraam aanwezig, prima geluidsisolatie. Een geschikte en betaalbare kamer voor een korte en langere verblijfsperiode.
Minpuntjes:
Miste in de badkamer opbergruimte op een hoger gelegen positie dan onder de wastafel (voor het plaatsen van een toilettas (2 personen), knaapjes/haakjes om je kleding aan op te hangen. Ruimte aan de zijde vh raam iets te smal (zijwaarts lopen).
Personeel: was vriendelijk en attent. Verbetering van de communicatie van de vrouwelijke medewerkster bij aankomst (inchecken) en bij vertrek een mannelijke medewerker mogen de communicatie (uitleg, betalen van borg) richten tot de persoon die de kamer heeft gereserveerd en betaald (vrouw) en niet met de mannelijke gast, die op een afstand van de balie stond. Onpersoonlijk en niet klantvriendelijk.
Locatie (nabij snelweg, stadion) is met de auto redelijk te doen tot aan het centrum van Gent, +/- 16 minuten.
Parkeren: voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Jammer dat het betaald (€19,- voor een nacht) is op een afgesloten parkeergelegenheid in een buitengebied. Het gebruik van een code om in en uit te rijden vond ik wel handig, te verkrijgen bij de balie bij het inchecken.
