Great vibe, great price. I felt at home. I arrived late in the evening, but the owner waited for me. Full of young happy people. There's also a hot pool, but I didn't stay long enough to try it. The kitchen is big and fully equipped. The bathroom facilities are well distributed. The location is perfect, just a couple of minutes from the maritime station where all boat and bus tours/trips depart.

Saya tiba selepas waktu kerja yang tidak menjadi masalah sama sekali kerana mereka meninggalkan kad kunci saya di dalam peti besi berkunci di luar. Asrama berada di lokasi yang bagus dan saya mempunyai masa yang indah berjalan di sepanjang pantai dan meneroka laluan Lane. Asrama ini bersih dan kemas - yang terbaik yang pernah saya lihat untuk kebersihan. Penyambut tetamu sangat baik dan saya sangat mengesyorkan asrama ini. Mereka juga mempunyai tempat letak kereta yang ditetapkan yang boleh anda beli!

XXi Ping ChenI like the location and Bay of Island is beautiful. Admiral's View Lodge is clean, quiet and offers self driving traveller's everything what one needs. Paihia's small community is nice, friendly and one can feel safe. I lost my mobile phone while I went out for dinner and found it in the next morning thanks to the lost and found board in the community.

PPengguna TetamuWe loved our stay here. Our second floor corner suite had gorgeous views of the bay and sunrise. Fantastic location as it’s a short walk to restaurants, bars, and the ferry wharf. Waitangi is a short drive or walk away. Our suite was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for three nights. The bed was comfortable, and we had plenty of space. Lyn was warm and friendly and gave us good local recommendations. We would happily stay here again!

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay here at the Austria motel located in the centre of Paihia and close to all the amenities needed. The absolute highlight was the giant balcony on which we wined and dined every evening. The owner (who was filling in for the actual owners) was absolutely wonderful to chat with and offer help and advice. I absolutely know where to stay the next time we're in Paihia !

PPengguna TetamuMy husband and I stayed at Ala Moana for a month (mid-February to mid-March) and were very happy with this accommodation. John is a marvelous, friendly, helpful host, and he and staff member William keep the units clean, fresh, and comfortable. The daily service was more than we needed, but they always checked and offered. John accommodated our requests and went out of his way to be sure we had everything we needed. He even ordered a couple of beach chairs so we could sit in the shade at the beach! (YES! This beach has shade, some benches, and calm, peaceful, protected waters. Whether first thing in the morning or later in the day, it makes for a delightful refreshing swim!) The location directly across from the beach and at most a 5-minute walk to shops, the wharf, and restaurants, was perfect! Some have mentioned the bar next door. Even though it looks like a fun, local place, we knew there was live music some nights, and we wondered if noise would be a problem. At least from our location in #3, noise was NEVER an issue. It was perfectly quiet. We had a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette (no oven or freezer) (unit #3). The bed is very comfortable, the area is spacious, the basics for cooking and dining are provided. (I should note that we didn’t really cook at all, but we brought things in for breakfasts, lunches, and snacks and ate there frequently.) There was a comfy sitting area for reading, doing projects, playing games, enjoying wine and cheese, or watching TV. The decor was simple and tasteful. For us, comfort trumps decor, so we weren’t looking for high-end interior design. Furnishings included a kitchen table with chairs, a coffee table in the sitting room, sofa, day bed, small patio table and chairs on the little deck, plus a fantastic view balcony patio overlooking the bay for shared use (which makes up for the fact that the unit’s deck faces the parking spots). Other shared amenities include washers, dryers, clothesline, ice. Some things that make me especially happy: lots of storage (closets, drawers) to unpack everything, ample towel racks and hooks for wet linens, beach towels, bathing suits, shelves in the bathroom to organize toiletries, plenty of outlets for charging phones, laptop, etc. These are little touches that so many places lack and that greatly enhanced the convenience and enjoyment of our stay. While most guests were there for one night to a few nights, we would definitely recommend it for a short or longer stay and hope to return for 1-2 months again!

PPengguna TetamuWe are a retired couple from Australia visiting NZ for the first time. We had booked this accommodation before leaving home, so hoped we had done our research well enough. We were not disappointed! We were warmly welcomed by reception who were very obliging with any of our questions or needs. A very pleasant 10-minute walk along the coast and you were in the centre of Paihia – very convenient. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The Wi-Fi speeds were unbelievable! Besides Sky TV, there was Netflix, Prime, even YouTube. We couldn’t have asked for more. Would highly recommend.

JJanya TLove convenience location but when you booked in app you will got old Building. Like a small kitchen in the room. Tiny Dishwasher was surprised me. Smart tv box is excellent for my Entertainment. Only problem was hot water temperature when showering. It's hard to control stable warm. Too hot and too cold. The towels supposed to change after second day stay that notice in the bathroom but it changed on fourth day of six days.

SSoThe location is great, a few minutes walk to beach front and maim centre for food. Amenities include cutlery, fridge, microwave, kettle etc. Only thing is there is no air-conditioner but fans were provided but luckily it wasn't too hot when we were there but in peak summer, no a/c would have been bad.

PPengguna TetamuBilik secara umumnya baik, dan isteri cukup berpuas hati! Kunci bilik berada di dalam kotak dengan kunci kod di sebelah pintu. Semasa saya pergi ke sana, tiada sesiapa di meja depan. Selepas menekan loceng pintu, saya memberitahu saya kod dan nombor bilik melalui interkom. Saya mengambil kunci untuk membuka pintu, yang sangat mudah. Isyarat wayarles sangat lemah dan kata laluan wifi tidak berfungsi dengan baik, jadi saya tidak pergi mencari seseorang untuk menyelesaikannya selepas menginap selama satu malam.

The images are a little misleading. For the price, you expect it to be basic, but not uncomfortable or unclean, but that's just what it was. We uncovered a number of issues during our stay: the only heating provided was an ancient oil heater, which, in NZ winter, meant an absolutely baltic room. The bathroom was like the 3rd world: broken light, broken extractor fan, mildew-covered toilet seat. Bedding was damp due to high moisture levels, and this meant that when we left the heater on so that the unit would be warmer upon our return later in the day, the whole room smelled of damp. Also, put in that it was an adult and two teenagers staying, and they decided to put the two teens in a single bed. A frayed and dangerous cable provided on another heater which we requested. Sofa was broken, however this issue was fixed by the attendant, who was incredibly kind and helpful. It seems the establishment may be undergoing some work in the not too distant future, but until then, I'd give it a miss. Plenty of better options elsewhere in Paihia or even in Russell across the bay.
