Το διαχρονικό αυτό ξενοδοχείο της Κέρκυρας (μη συγχέεται με το Corfu Palace) βρίσκεται έναντι αεροδρομίου με όμορφη θέα προς εκείνο και τη λιμνοθάλασσα από τη μια και προς τον κήπο από την πίσω μεριά. Είναι ιδανικό για παρέες/ οικογένειες ως τρία άτομα σε ένα δωμάτιο. Τα δωματια είναι σχετικά ευρύχωρα, κατακάθαρα, χωρίς όμως αναγκαία ηχομόνωση. Ο εξοπλισμός σε τηλεόραση, πρίζες είναι ξεπερασμένος. Το μπάνιο είναι καλό με ακαλαίσθητης πόρτες (χωρίς ηχομόνωση επίσης). Λείπει μαλακτικό μαλλιών αν και το νερό της Κέρκυρας θεωρείται σκληρό. Το πρωινό είναι καλό και ο υπεύθυνος στην είσοδο τυπικός Έλληνας του τουρισμού, φιλόξενος και φιλότιμος (παλαιός κοπής).Ωραίος εξωτερικός χώρος και κήπος σε συνέχεια με τον χώρο πρωινού. Ο κήπος γενικότερα θα μπορούσε να είναι και πιο φροντισμένος και η παιδική χαρά πιο γενναιόδωρη για παιδιά (αλλά είναι αμφίβολο αν αυτή είναι η σκοπιμότητα του ξενοδοχείου). Η πισίνα, καθαρή με όμορφο αν και στενάχωρο περιβάλλοντα χώρο.Διαθέτει ναυαγοσώστη! Το μπαρ θυμίζει λίγο πλοίο στη γραμμή Ελλάδα-Ιταλία και θα μπορούσε να είναι πιο ευχάριστο και πολυτελές. Κρύος καφές αδιάφορος. Δεν δοκιμάσαμε το εστιατόριο, αλλά πλησίον του ξενοδοχείου δεν υπάρχει εστιατόριο ούτε για δείγμα. Η εσωτερική σάλα είναι λιτή και καθαρή. Ο χωρίς στάθμευσης επίσης οριακά επαρκής για το μέγεθος επισκεψιμότητας του ξενοδοχείου. Η ρεσεψιόν μάλλον χλιαρή και απρόσωπη. Η σχέση τιμής/ποιότητας είναι υποφερτή. Αλλά σίγουρα το ξενοδοχείο θέλει σύντομα αναβάθμιση για να ανταποκρίνεται στην τιμή του.

This is a Beautiful hotel, especially the lobby with a gorgeous olive tree at its centre, all the grounds are beautifully landscaped & are stunning to walk around. The location right on the beach is fabulous too. We had 2 rooms (family of 4) with views out to sea. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. Unfortunately we were let down by bad service & a catalogue of mishaps throughout our stay. Pros: Breakfast choice & quality of food is great Great lighting in rooms Spyros & sandy at verde pool bar are amazing, both went above & beyond and were extremely attentive Yannis in Blu bar is again a credit to the hotel & was a pleasure to chat to every evening. Kostas at the hotel’s entrance was always attentive & went out of his way to see if he could help in any way. All a credit to the hotel. Cons: The wardrobe in 621 is nowhere near big enough, it’s tiny & would not have been any use at all for my 2 teenage girls on a 2 week holiday. Breakfast service for the majority of our stay was a complete shambles, being a family of 4 seems to be a problem, the hotel is geared mostly to couples so when you come down to breakfast the staff go into panic mode trying to sort a table out. Once we were sat down, we were never asked if we wanted tea or coffee, we ended up chasing the servers around to ask for it ourselves, then you were lucky if it actually arrived. If it did arrive you’d be lucky if you got milk or a cup. There were lots of staff but they just seemed to running around like headless chickens not actually achieving anything. Before arrival we had contacted the hotel regarding how the half board basis worked, we were told there were 4 restaurants: Korypho, 1962, Makris & Raw Bar & we could dine in Korypho and would get a credit to dine in any of the others. Unfortunately we were misled and we actually discovered that there was only 2 options for dinner Korypho & 1962 as the raw bar is actually in Korypho. Once again the service in these restaurants for dinner was not good. On one occasion our dirty plates from our main course were left on our table for 35 mins, we did want a dessert but no one came near, they were only moved when we asked for the bill. We had a similar experience in 1962 where once again because we were a family of 4 we were only offered a table to sit inside, our server on this occasion was nowhere to be seen, and we were left unattended for the majority of our dinner. In general the service was not what you expect from a 5* hotel and the food for dinner was ok but nothing special. After a couple of days we noticed housekeeping wasn’t great, towels weren’t being replaced. Never replaced a dirty dressing gown. Dirty cups & cutlery was not removed. Coffee wasn’t replenished. Bins not emptied. One day our room card keys were taken after housekeeping had been in. After querying why a member of staff would take card keys they were cancelled & new ones issued. Whilst at front desk sorting the key cards out

My stay for a three day-weekend in May was off to a bad start even before I arrived at the hotel. A somewhat heated email exchange with the reservation team threatening to cancel the reservation if I did not pay immediately, according to the tariff conditions, meant that I had to contact the Guest Relations Manager (Mrs Ageliki KOULOURI) to clarify the situation. It is therefore through this first exchange with her that I can say today that this manager is one of the main assets of this hotel. Not only does she do her job, but she also puts in a dose of tact, delicacy and efficiency. I owe the success of my stay to her. The hotel is very well located, beautifully decorated and the rooms are beautiful. I personally was upgraded to a suite with a magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. The hotel, which opened fairly recently, still has a few glitches that one is less inclined to forgive once the break-in period is over, especially for a hotel of this category. This year, the restaurant offer has been reduced by the presence of Michelin-starred chef Botrini, who has ”ceased his collaboration” with the hotel. I tested the two restaurants Sofrito (Greek and Mediterranean cuisine) and Oribu (North Asian cuisine). The staff in the dining areas are numerous, attentive and eager to help. I found that both the food and wine lists lacked coherence, and sometimes even of the desired wine :). This didn't bother me that much, but I did think that a hotel in this category should do a better job! As for the breakfast buffet (there are several), I found it perfect: a wide selection of dishes, from savory to sweet. The only downside is the lack of teas, at least for tea lovers. The swimming pool, probably one of the most beautiful on the island, is infinity and offers a spectacular view of the sea and the mainland in the distance. Sports enthusiasts will not be outdone by the state-of-the-art gym and equipment. And what can I say about the Spa? Well, it's certainly one of the best treatments I've ever received, and all in a finely decorated, relaxing setting. A big plus and a big thank you to the team. I'll conclude by saying that I hope to return to this resort and that the service will live up to the high standards expected of a 5-star hotel.

Alles war perfekt Wir hatten das günstigste Zimmer und wir hatten einen Blick auf den Haupteingang des Hotels. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr gut! meine negativen Kommentare; Unten im Hotel riecht es sehr übel, es riecht nach Abwasser. 40€ Transfergebühr, obwohl es sehr nahe am Flughafen liegt Die Reinigung war an dem Tag, an dem wir dort waren, super! Aber, Ein junger Mann hat unser Zimmer gereinigt. und die Shampoos vergessen und der Geruch von Schweiß war drinnen! und Kaffee kommt nie wieder ins Zimmer

The word to sum up this lovely hotel with it's wonderful staff is.. Fantastic!! The hotel itself is dated, yes, however it has a kind of old world charm about it. Our impression from arriving to leaving was that we were stepping back in time to the 40s and 50s. Physically the building has echoes of a charming cruise liner, it is also perfectly positioned for everything the town and island has to offer. The staff were all extremely helpful, friendly and super attentive. The food was totally delicious and its presentation of a ”Masterchef” standard. Thankyou again to everyone at Corfu Palace for making our holiday so enjoyable. We will definitely be returning at some point in the future!
