Hotel 3 Bintang di Houston

Well, I wanna say first this is better than my last stay, but it still needs major improvements. I appreciated the complimentary upgrade, but as I can't submerge myself in water right now, it doesn't really do me any good. The staff is mostly great, but my last full day, I just wanted to sit by the pool for 30-40 minutes. Not use the pool, but just sit in a chair because the weather is nice. Apparently, that's still out of the question, so yeah. I gave them another chance, and it was such a small thing I asked for. Spend over $500 on a stay, you'd expect to be able to sit where you want, especially as I wasn't even asking to use the pool itself. Sorry to take the front desk clerks away from what I assume must have been a riveting conversation! The young man who worked Friday evening (around 7pm, black shirt) was very helpful and professional, you need more employees like him, as well as the young Black man who worked evening I believe Thursday. The women at the front desk just seem annoyed to be there.

Nice spacious rooms with comfortable bed. Lobby was very nice. If that’s all you need then this is a great place. Our problem was on Trip Request it mentions free parking. That’s not the truth. They charge for parking. We were told to park our car where we could see it from the window- some issues with people breaking into cars. Since we got charged for parking I expected to see security. We stayed 3 days- never saw any security. No microwave in room. We sure didn’t expect that. No coffee in lobby area unless you bought it from Starbucks. Used the shuttle to go back and forth to MD. One evening I called at 7:20 and we got dropped off the shuttle at 8:30. We even drove right by the motel. Said we got MD rates but I don’t think happened at all. It was pretty expensive. Now at another motel with free breakfast and lower price.

I initially posted a review but had to remove it and provide an update. I stayed at this hotel for only one evening. I was in Houston for work and when I returned to my hotel room, all items I had in the room that were not in a closet or drawer were gone. In total, it was over $430 worth, including my gym shoes, apple magsafe charger, food, and toiletries. I informed the front desk and my experience with Lenice was absolutely horrible. No empathy at all for someone who had just had most of their day-to-day items taken and she was extremely rude. I cut the stay short and went to another hotel and filed a police report. It has taken 72 hours of me calling the hotel and IGH's corporate office to find out that anyone who went in the room denies seeing anything in there and I have to wait for the police to investigate. The corporate office has been no help. I'll never stay at another IGH hotel.

I stayed for 25 days for a business trip at the Staybridge Galleria in July 2022. As a woman traveling solo, it was a good, safe place to stay. The hotel was bright and clean. The location was good, though I had to change rooms after a few days to the other side of the hotel where the rooms were much quieter. If you're facing the freeway, it's horribly noisy. I was happy that parking was covered, with daily or weekly rates and easy/safe to access. Breakfast is fine; they had eggs, bacon, sausage, cook your own waffles (or maybe it was pancakes, I never got in that line), yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, and pastries daily. The gym is small but it was never crowded. The laundry facilities were clean and free which was nice, with a laundry basket in each room. The room had a good kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, plates etc. I loved using chromecast though it didn't work for the last few days of my stay (despite getting the building engineer's help). The pool was fine but was not relaxing for me because it's on the freeway side of the hotel, which was just far too noisy. Staff were pleasant and kind. I didn't like that you had to request cleaning. They only did a thorough cleaning weekly. Garbage piled up so quickly, and you had to request it if you wanted your garbage emptied. As far as location, it's great to get on the highway quickly from the hotel. It's not a pleasant walk anywhere, so I drove, even when going to the Galleria a few minutes away. There's a Target close by which is nice for picking up things like detergent and all the other stuff I forgot to pack. I did meet another guest who walked to Target and the nearby bars/restaurants, but I wouldn't do it myself. Since I stayed for nearly a month I got a nice picture of the clientele - there was a religious youth conference so it was busy and loud when they were there, and could be loud with various family reunions, but otherwise was pretty quiet. It was a combination of families and business travelers. Overall, this hotel is a good option if you want to stay near the Galleria.

Seaneth was amazing. Thank you for all you do. Our stay was awesome! Room was clean and the service was really good. Food was good and people were always friendly. Thanks again to Seaneth for all the assistance and service. I’m very satisfied.

Come to houston for a first birthday party. We needed a kitchen area to work on cakes. The Residence inn downtown was perfect and close to the venue. Interesting arrangement with a Courtyard, Springhill suites and Residence sharing a roofline and connecting walkways. Excellent valet all around. All were nice and helpful and we had a lot of stuff. Kudos to Abdul especially. Front desk (thanks James) very friendly, as well as housekeeping and all staff. Honestly about as friendly and welcoming as I have had. Beautiful gathering area snd better than expected breakfast with small omelettes on Sunday and quiche on Monday. The room was more than adequate with kitchenette cooktop, microwave dishwasher, dishes and apartment refrigerator. Small table and desk area and small dark living area but nice bedroom, closet and spacious bath/sink area. The bed was an ok queen and carpet a little older but everything was clean and convenient. There is a decent pool and small exercise room on the third floor, but challenging to find. (Signs please) This hotel met our needs and the people made it memorable. Thank you!
