The location is good, the homestay is luxurious, the service is very good, the rooms are oversized, the breakfast is good, the sunrise is one level, close to the sea, the beach is convenient, the homestay location is good, the roof can see the Chihsingtan and Hualien Airport, you can also watch the sunrise and walk You can get to the beach in 5 minutes. Walking to the beach in the evening to listen to the sea and watch the stars, it was so uncomfortable. The boss, CCB, was enthusiastic and waited for us until late, and made many suggestions for our route. The mother of CCB made breakfast personally and it was delicious. The room is very large. I like his mattress the most. It is moderately firm and comfortable to sleep. The whale watching and paragliding ordered by China Construction Bank are great! CCB specially took us to see Crescent Bay, his private house, which is very beautiful. We are renting a car and parking at the door is convenient. Very suitable for Hualien vacation! CCB also used his favorite classic Beetle to take us for a drive, and stay here next time in Hualien.

Next time I come, I will stay here again. It’s so comfortable and convenient for traveling. I feel so good just lying in the room all day. I don’t want to go anywhere. Originally living in a bed and breakfast with sheets, I didn't expect it to be similar to a restaurant, clean and tidy, except for the simple breakfast, there is really no difference. There is a public parking lot next to the homestay, and it is a three-minute drive from Qixingtan. The sea can be seen from the top of the building, and the sea can only be seen from the crevices of the building from the balcony of the room. Next to it is the air force base. In the morning, you will hear the plane lift off.
The courtyard downstairs is not big, there are special wall paintings, and there are children's cartoons and dolls in the reception area. The children are quite happy 😃

AAnonymous UserFabulous stay. Love the quiet, serene ambience although there are sounds of dogs and animals which is common in nature. The host, Mr Zhang is so warm and helpful that we felt treated like old friends coming for a visit. There is a dog and many cats in the house but non threatening. They make themselves scarce, somehow if guests are afraid of them.
As the BnB is up on the mountain, it’s easier to get around if there a car. The host goes out of his way to help and provide advice on where to go and how to get there. Perfect host!
The only room with twin beds is the family room for four. The other room is spacious to with king or queen beds.
A good place for a retreat.

Aadams yinThis is my fourth time staying here, but the only drawback is that I didn’t notice that the room type I booked was a delicacy room (that is, the room type with the smallest space). I didn’t notice it before (because the non-holiday prices were almost the same). After checking in, I discovered that If you book a luxury room directly from the hotel, the price is hundreds of yuan cheaper than on the website. I immediately contacted customer service, and of course the customer service also provided compensation measures.
I hope that subsequent websites can more carefully check the room types provided by the hotel to avoid misunderstandings by users and a bad impression.

GGuest UserThe location is very convenient. It takes 20 minutes to walk to Xinxin Noodle House and 5 minutes to Dongdaemun Night Market. There is no breakfast attached to the B&B, but there are many delicious restaurants nearby.
If you arrive early in the afternoon, you can park in the parking lot of Dongdaemun Night Market (free)
The dog in the B&B is very cute and coquettish. I stayed for another 2 nights. The boss reminded me that there is a washing machine upstairs that you can use for free. It dried in the sun overnight. It is a different washing machine than the one used to clean the bed sheets in the room. This is my second time here. I will consider this place next time!

Room: The room space may be small if you have many luggages, but there's no complaining at this price range because it's a steal! You can save some space if you bring your luggage to your bedside. An electricity outlet can be found on every bed, which is unquestionably very convenient. Cups, teabags, hairdryer, and slippers are provided.
Bathroom: The bathroom is clean, and it is a private bathroom inside the room (not shared bathroom outside the room!). Towels, toothbrush and toothpaste are provided as well.
Public area: There is a public area (like a kitchen) and an outdoor sitting area on the ground floor where you can make your own coffee or milk tea (which are provided there). Water dispenser can also be found there. There's a friendly (wild) cat too!
Service: The staff was friendly and helpful.
Luggage storage: If you're looking to store your luggage before check-in or after check-out, your luggage will just be stored on the corridor beside the counter with no safety other than ”name labels”.
Safety: Password will be required for entry into the inn after certain time at night.
Location: The inn is located close to the bus station, but some walking may be needed (which won't take long unless you carry big luggages). Convenience stores and some restaurants can be found within walking distance from the inn.

TTobias TDuring my recent trip to Hualien, I had the unique opportunity to stay at the Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel, and it truly exceeded my expectations. As soon as I arrived, the prison theme instantly caught my attention. The rooms were designed to resemble prison cells, which added an intriguing and immersive element to my stay.
One thing that stood out to me was the absence of a traditional reception desk. Instead, to gain entry, all guests need to do is call the contact number provided, which adds a touch of mystery to the experience. The lady working there was exceptionally helpful and patient, even taking the time to explain how to use the facilities in Chinese. Her assistance made my stay all the more enjoyable.
As a solo traveler, I couldn't help but appreciate the eerie vibes that the place exudes, especially since I'm a fan of horror. Every night, I found myself immersed in an atmosphere that perfectly catered to my taste. It's not often that you come across a hostel that provides such a unique and thrilling ambiance.
Cleanliness is always a priority for me, and I was pleased to find that Peace Prison Cafe Inn Hostel did not disappoint in this aspect. The rooms were well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay. @@travel_with_the_sunIt's clean, it's close to the train station, where you can rent a scooter to explore Taroko National Park, also have a gas station next door to refill your scooter and you are next to the main road to go to the National Park. There is enough stuff to cook yourself something. Communication with the landlord on self check-in went well and I could check-in earlier because my bed was free, actually I was the only guest in the dorm on my first of two nights.
It was calm and the entire hostel & bathroom was very clean. I liked, that you can buy razors, one-way towels, toothbrush kit for a small fee, even if I didn't need it.
The only downside, and that's why I gave it -3 stars in amenity was, that the mattress was so hard, it felt like sleeping on the floor. The room had a bit of strange moisture smell, but I could get used to it quickly. If there would be a thicker, less hard mattress, that place would get total points.
On the back door / balcony you have a nice view of the mountains. (The picture attached is taken from the road, but if you crop the lower half, it's what you see)
