OMG, the most amazing lobster I have ever tasted I did half and half Thermidor and garlic absolutely beautiful. The experience was made better by our waitress Mia who went above and beyond thank you so much very friendly had a great conversation as well service thank you

Wow! Absolutely amazing! Lovely experience and food was beautiful. Great to see the owners in action and our waitress Lisa could have done enough for us! Will definitely be back. Thankyou for such a lovely time. Food, service and atmosphere was perfect!

Tired bedroom in need of refurbishment. Reminded me of an 80’s Travelodge. Our double room was £160 inc breakfast. The bathroom was tiny and looking sad . Dusty radiator pipes, dated bathroom suite . Bedroom was all 80’s cheap pine. Tea choice was English breakfast only, no herb teas or Earl Grey. Lacking in any thought . Bed was a small double and my husbands feet were off the end. Sofa had stains on. Breakfast was good although you had to pay extra for a full English on top of the £160 paid for sad and tired bedroom.

Fantastic restaurant, great food good service & value for money Good selection of starters, main course & dessert. Three separate areas to eat, bar, Bistro and restaurant. Fabulous atmosphere & great views

Began with floating object in the jug of water.waited 30 minutes for lukewarm soup. Main courses were only mediocre pub standard. Waitress sulky. Maitre D???.. insultingly pompous. My family have been coming here for years and have regarded our visits as treats. NO MORE. I am very disappointed but not wasting anyore time or money here..what a shame

Another fabulous experience last Sunday at the Acres. Warm smiles on arrival, lovely real fire on a winters day and great beer behind the bar was a great start. Staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and efficient and big thanks to Terry and the team for a fantastic job. As ever the food was amazing, chicken parfait, roast beef dinner and cheese board, combined with a great wine list. Simply a perfect day, faultless. Thank you so much Tom, Terry and the team. We’ll be back again real soon,

From the start this establishment never let's us down, the meal was one of the finest It's not the cheapest but worth it. The menu and service is always 10/10. We never got to the big marque on new years eve on our 3rd visit because of over endulgance.. but this establishment always delivers.

Once again Terry and the team were outstanding, food, service etc etc Big thanks to our waitress Lisa. My only complaint is they are not closer to Sheffield. I've been visiting for possibly 20 years now and it still seems as good as ever. This is my first review on TA. Just thought I had to say how good it was and an amazing Saturday afternoon lunch with friends. Regards Jonathan

Our room was serviceable but in need of some updating and a lick of paint. Bed was a standard double which is a bit on the small side for us. Bathroom was in dire need of a refurb with hilariously poor hot water supply. It was only just possible to have a tepid shower with the temperature control turned right up to 9 (hot) . Turning on the hot tap in the bath produced little more than a drip so a hot bath was definitely not a viable alternative. Our room was on the ground floor of the annexe so heaven knows what the water pressure would be like if you were on the first floor. We were attending a function at the hotel, so the room served its purpose of giving us a bed for the night but I definitely wouldn’t stay there for any other reason, which is a shame because the staff seemed nice and friendly and many of the locals we talked to at the party said the food was good in the restaurant.
