This is the best hotel in Victoria falls so far. Their rooms are always clean and fresh. Me, My wife and kids were here for the festive season and the warm welcome we received at check in by the reception team in the afternoon around 4ish just highlighted how great our stay was going to be. We later on went back to the reception to find out directions of the other lodge we had booked at to go after our stay at Elephant hills cause we wanted a variety of experiences. We were met by a professional, energetic lady who smiled at us as we approached the desk and introduced herself as Anele the assistant front office manager, we did ofcause make our inquries about the other lodge in which she assisted but we did not know we will end up deciding to spend all of our stay in Vicfalls at Elephants Hills because of her I remember she said yes nice hotels are indeed coming up in vicfalls, but in terms of service she would like us to give them a chance to showcase what they offer and to top it off their meal breaker of the day “breakfast” has variety of dishes that is always fresh and tasty which is what you need as you start the day. Already from her look of excitement as she spoke about their property (Elephant Hills) and other things they offer i thought this is definitely our kind of place to be at. Me and my wife were convinced and immediately paid for the extra nights. And we were happy to confirm that they indeed delivered as she had promised their breakfast was the best and the service was perfect, we were well taken care of and my kids were very happy too throughout our stay. Thank you so much Elephant Hills we would have not had our stay any other way, and special thank you to Anele she is a gem!

Cleanliness 7/10 -There was a shampoo and lotion used in the shower booth, the tub had black specs Food Quality 8/10- Food taste is fair and just some touch needed on presentation Staff friendliness & customer service 6/10- On check in the receptionist didn't exhibited a sense of urgency, she was attending to a personal call and afterwards started chanting to our shuttle driver talking personal issues before attending to us However the restaurant staff were so friendly and very cooperative. Thembi gave us exceptional service Sleep quality 10/10- The room is very spacious, bed comfy and the room well air-conditioned. This was my second stay in two years. This stay was better. I had such a bad experience the first time I was full of trepidation. We did, however, both times have the most wonderful safari experience and the animals are naturally the stars of the show. Hwange Safari Lodge has the capability of being first class accommodation due to the location. It needs an overhaul and to be fair they have started the project. Our room had been updated. This was on the left wing of the hotel. Previously we stayed in the right wing. It was horrendous. I did not check if they had updated these rooms but to say I had sent my children on school trips 20 years ago and they would have thought these rooms were basic is not unfair. The food is average with the breakfast buffet at $30 per head laughable. Make sure you get it included with accommodation cost as you don’t have any other options and this cost was honestly ridiculous (ps I don’t mind spending g a lot of money on good food and great service. This was neither). I’m sad to write such a review as my husband has such fond memories of spending time at the lodge back in the 70s. I feel it hasn’t moved with the times and is firmly stuck back in the 70s.

I've long been drawn to the vibrant, multi-colored bougainvillea fence, so I was thrilled to experience the comforts within. The well-sized rooms are tastefully furnished, while the generous bathroom boasts both a tub and shower. However, I found the pin shower heads, common in this country, perplexing. Please try a drum head. This medium-sized lodge is ideal for family gatherings and events with friends. Gamu, embodies exceptional guest hospitality from her command post at the reception. The dining staff, including two Melodies and More Blessing, have a keen understanding of attentive service. As with many Zim establishments, the steak will be your best bet for food. The cheesecake earns special mention for those with a sweet tooth. I enjoyed the lodge's serene setting and proximity to Victoria Falls, accessible via a scenic downhill run. The pricing was reasonable.

Shongwe Lookout is a fantastic spot with so much to offer! The food was absolutely delicious, and the waitress (I’m so sorry I forgot her name) was amazing—attentive, friendly, and truly made the experience special. I have to say, this place made me fall in love with prawns! They prepared them perfectly—flavorful, juicy, and just right. The salad was equally impressive—fresh, crisp, and a great complement to the meal. The setting is also worth mentioning: it’s beautifully done, very clean, and creates a lovely, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your meal. I’ll definitely be returning to Shongwe Lookout whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommended!
