We had a great wekend stay at the Residence Inn. We had a 2 bedroom suite right by the breakfast room and it was amazingly quiet. We are light sleepers and did not hear noise at night or early a.m. The parking is $30 for each night, but that seemed to be standard for downtown.. You are able to keep your car there the day you checkout. The breakfast could have had more choices but there were cereals,oatmeal, fruit and yogurt if you didn't like the hot items. The staff were so friendly especially the evening employees. sometimes they could have used 2 people at the desk but the women there Friday & Saturday were efficient. Our room and kitchen were all very ckean. We didn't have them clean after the 1st night since we had plenty if towels. Lack of recycling bins was the only negative.. The canal view was pretty, too bad it was a cold March weekend.

The rates were a little higher than expected and the rooms a bit dated but overall was a pleasant stay. The staff is very minimal. The breakfast area has some hot options and coffee but is only manned by one individual, whom I want to note did an amazing job on her own. Its a little further walk from some downtown locations but overall a good option.

The property was nice and clean for its price. Our room was exactly how it was pictured online. However, I had a few issues with it. The bottom of a drawer was gone, the faucet lever was broken and the air from the AC was not as cold as I want it. But all these 3 issues were ok with me. I didn’t need the bottom drawer, the faucet lever was easily put back in and I easily get cold anyway. I just thought that these kind of issues should have been fixed before any guests sleeps in it. The staff was nice and courteous. Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap and clean motel, this would be for you. If you expect more, then you’d better shell out the extra $$$ and book another place.

Room temperature to me is 72, it was 68 in my room, far too cold for this Floridian’s liking. I wanted ice. No ice on the main floor, the attendant said there is ice on every floor. Fine, I went to my floor, no ice. I went down one floor, no ice, down another floor, no ice, finally on the 4th try, I got ice. $40 for parking is steep but in downtown Indy with a car full of stuff, I had no choice. It worked out well, no issues. God is good. Breakfast is good, hot and fast. Could have used a better muffin selection, bran was the only choice. The valet parking was great. Evan Coffman was nice. The “green” whatever it was provided in the shower for shampoo burned my scalp. I had to get out and rewash with the stuff on the bath counter. Horrible.

Praise to Craig, my valet/bellman who, when I arrived, had to take the bell cart to my room, and back down to the desk because I had been assigned to my boss's room to start with, and then up to my actual room. He then went with me over to the Convention Center as I had a lot of stuff for our conference that was starting with exhibitor check-in that afternoon. We chatted the whole time which made it a very pleasant experience. The only downside of my stay is that the bathroom light goes all the way around the mirror and is quite bright when you flip it on. It'd be nice to have a dimmer switch or smaller overhead light.
