"It’s the best hotel we’ve stayed at in China so far! All the staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room facilities are excellent and very high-tech. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered. There is even a water filtration system providing both hot and cold water. The hotel is about an 18-minute walk from the busy food street. It’s a pleasant walk along the river, which is beautifully illuminated in the evening."

"The staff was very friendly and helpful and the shuttle bus to and from the park entrance is extremely convenient. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Maybe breakfast could have a more varied selection. We would definitely recommend this hotel. :)"

"We loved the hotel. I booked a room with a 180 degree view but were given a free upgrade to a balcony room facing the Li River -- I would book this room again in a heart beat. It's not just a view, it's an experience. The hotel is situated on a quieter stretch of the Li River within walking distance to Zhenyang Walking Street and an extended walk / short Didi ride away from the main tourist areas, which was GREAT because it gets very noisy down the main stretch. We enjoyed the side of Guilin depicted in paintings, watching the river in the rain and clouds roll past the karst mountains. And obviously, the view of Fubo was striking and hard to miss. 🤭 It was rainy and cold while we were there but my son insisted on swimming when it wasn't pouring it down -- worth it. The view from the pool was cool. The room itself was well proportioned, had good tech -- automated toilets and curtains, free mini bar, housekeeping was good and we had zero cause for complaints of any sort. They delivered food deliveries up by robot and every single staff member was lovely, down to the breakfast noodle station cook who accommodated my requests for poached eggs on their delicious Guilin noodles. Breakfast was simple but good. A big shoutout to Roy who was the most lovely and gracious host. He helped us with most of everything and was just a lovely person to chat too. He speaks exceptional English and was kind enough to tolerate my rusty Chinese and switch between both languages. The hotel package came with a few activities -- a choice of a string decor or postcard and a photo taking service. We decided to do this for kicks and it fantastic! The photographer (originally from Guangzhou -- super nice guy) managed to capture beautiful, candid pictures in a shockingly short amount of time, even in the rain. The picture experience exceeded expectations and my child was so happy he was able to interact with the comorants and go home with professional pictures of that. We saw other comorants in Yangshou but he said the birds by SYSF looked far happier and well taken care of. The only negatives from our stay that I can think of and I'm nit picking here is that the balcony ceiling needs a paint job and the lifts are small and on the slower side, but bigger than most Parisian lifts 😅 I would normally not leave such a long review but this hotel was so lovely and worth sharing. Thank you for the perfect stay. I'd rate the overall experience higher than a lot of 5 star hotels we've stayed at for its heart and character."

"We spent 3 nights in this hotel with our 3 kids and enjoyed our stay very much. The location is great, only a few minutes’ walk from the Elephant Mountain which is admission free. We also took advantage of the freebies offered by the hotel, such as free afternoon snacks (2:30-4:30 PM), free coffee (10 AM to 10 PM), free indoors playground with a trampoline and carousel, 10 tokens (we were actually given more) for the claw machines (抓娃娃机), free bottled water, free self-help laundry service (there are 3 washers and 2 dryers on the 8th floor; detergent provided), etc. I also tried the foot massage (130 RMB for 60 minutes ) and liked it. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay. My kids only ate white toasts with butter and strawberry jam, as well as mini muffins, but my husband and I enjoyed the Guilin rice noodle soup. The coffee maker makes latte, Americano and cappuccino. There’s only hot milk and no breakfast cereal, just FYI. It looks like smoking is allowed in the hotel room, because there’s an ashtray in our room. I am glad I have requested that our room be specifically treated to remove smoke (无烟处理)."

"This hotel surpassed my expectations. So many perks were included in the room rate—the highlight for me was the hanfu clothing we could wear to take photos, breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, Chinese dessert, and they have a massage chair to use at the end of a long day. It was easiest to enjoy all the free perks on the first day of checkin as we were out exploring the other days. The service was consistently kind and polite. I also booked an in-room massage, which was strong, relaxing, and perfect after a long travel day. The hotel arranged an excellent private driver for us that we used for two days. The complimentary dinner on our first night felt like comforting home-style cooking. We stayed in the large family room, and it was super spacious, very clean, comfortable, and had a balcony for a scenic river view. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Guilin—it’s about 30 minutes from the railway station and offers amazing value."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Right from the start, the staff was incredibly kind and surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, which set the tone for the entire visit. Our upgraded room was massive, impeccably clean, and featured a fantastic butler service via WeChat. This was a game-changer! We used it to order complimentary drinks every evening, which was a lovely touch. The bathroom was a highlight in itself—very spacious with a huge bathtub that was perfect for relaxing after a day out. The location is quite good, with several shops and a mall within easy walking distance. We also found that ordering food delivery was incredibly convenient, especially if you have a local mobile number. Love their pool! Well maintained and they do have sauna in the shower room beside the pool. Do remember to bring a travel adapter as the hotel room do not have usb plug for direct charging. But is a small thing. Overall, a fantastic experience. We loved the modern convenience of the butler app and the sheer comfort of the room. Highly recommend!"

I was lucky enough to receive a room upgrade, allowing me to enjoy the stunning views and the smart home system.
