"I loved this place so much that I stayed 5 nights. Yang the owner speaks perfect English. I rang the day before and he was waiting at the train station with my name on a sign. He helped me organise the entrance fee. Mine was free as I'm 73 years old, even though I am a foreigner. I am travelling on my own from New Zealand. The train station pick up was free and very useful. If you take the bus it's a long way from the ticket office and bus stop into the village. Yang then transferred me into his smaller vehicle to go up the little lane to the hotel. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into the village and has a great view of the village.. It is quiet as it's a little bit away from the busy centre. The room was perfect. Everything new and very clean. And no smells. The bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. I used the washing machine in the room to wash my clothes. There was tea and coffee provided. Yang took me on a full day trip to see some other local villages that have no tourists. We walked around the villages together. It was fantastic to have an English guide to explain everything. We saw people making rice wine, making indigo dye, building a house using traditional techniques. We saw a fighting buffalo. Yang chatted to the people and explained what they were doing. This was the best time I have had in China. He was a good careful driver. The breakfast was huge! So many dishes, including fruit. Yang was always available to help me with any questions and we had good talks every morning when he helped me plan my activities."

"典型少數民族村寨，石砌➕竹樓風格。環境不錯，定的匆忙，也沒仔細查看，略有照騙嫌疑，本來想要個有電梯游泳池的，帶了泳衣。結果快入住才發現觀景泳池，水深10cm！！！ 有一説一，但是商家在服務上補足了一切，免費升級房型，入住酸梅湯，飲料啤酒入住一份免費送，每日下午茶，幫忙接送搬運行李，凌晨沒有洗澡水，電話一打就通問題及時解決，沒有敷衍沒有不耐煩。 可能略比別家貴點，出行本來就是為了開心，這個情緒價值給的值了。"

"Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. La vue depuis la chambre est vraiment très jolie. La chambre est spacieuse, le lit très grand. Le personnel de l’établissement est venu nous chercher à la gare à notre arrivée. Il nous a également donné tous les renseignements dont nous avions besoin. Les espaces communs comprennent une jolie terrasse. Il y a trois petits chats très mignons à la réception. Le seul bémol est l’insonorisation dans la chambre : on entend tout ce qui se passe dehors. Pour nous, ce n’était pas très dérangeant, il y avait peu de monde à la période de notre séjour."

"A perfect weekend getaway from the bustling city. Tucked away in the mountainous countryside of Guizhou, Zhaoxing Dong Ethnic Minority Village in only three hour ride via high speed train from Guangzhou. The village is quite developed, offering shuttle service to and from the railway station for 10RMB each way. You can also arrange a private ride for 50RMB into the village. The village entrance fee allows 6 days of access into the village for 80RMB. I chose to stay at the Comfort Zhaoxing Inn next to the canola fields, away from the main attractions for a quieter stay. I can see swallows swooping, bugs chirping, and frogs croaking in the fields. My room has floor to ceiling windows offering great views of the mountains, fields, and rice terraces. Remote villages in the mountains are also visible. The inn is ran by a friendly couple. They offer sumptuous breakfast with generous portions. They picked up and assisted with my luggage at the village shuttle station. The village itself is for pedestrian only. They offer complimentary shuttle services every 15-20 minutes that makes various stops if you don’t feel like walking. It was relaxing to stroll along the river and around the village. Instead of taking a shuttle (20RMB round trip) to the rice terraces of TangAn Village, I took the trail that the locals used for centuries before shuttles were available. The trail was paved, crossing creeks, winding through the mountains and rice fields for 7.5km with an elevation gain of about 1,000 meters. The views were spectacular and the food were amazingly delicious and very affordable. I used Zhaoxing Village as a hub for accessing other remote villages. Shuttle buses offering two departures to Huanggang, Basha ethic villages (about an hour ride). Though if there is not enough passengers, they may cancel the service. My stay was memorable, and I plan to go back when the canola flowers are blooming."

"一家人從廣東自駕到肇興侗寨，特意選了景區內廈格村這家新開的青禾居民宿，算是這次旅途最大的驚喜。 沒有選侗寨主幹道的民宿，就是想躲開人羣吵鬧，事實證明選對了。民宿在梯田半山腰，視野真的無可挑剔，房間超大，兩面全景落地窗，陽台直麪整片梯田羣山。早起梯田晨霧繚繞，等太陽出來之後霞光鋪滿層層梯田，隨手拍出來的畫面完全不用濾鏡。 聽老闆説民宿剛開業沒多久，所有設施都很新，衞生做得很到位，床鋪乾爽，空間開闊，帶小孩住一點不擁擠。閑暇坐在陽台吹吹風，安安靜靜看着山谷梯田，遠離城市的浮躁，特別治癒。 老闆是本地人，還是一位退伍軍人，待人實在，有問題諮詢都會耐心解答。民宿距離肇興侗寨主街開車不遠，既能方便逛景區，又能享受原生態山野風光，還有一點對我們新能源車主很友好，就是民宿所在不遠的停車場就有充電樁，還是快充，這點真的很贊。 如果來肇興，不想擠喧鬧的主街，偏愛梯田美景、喜歡清凈的朋友，推薦這個民宿，自己下次來黔東南，也還是選這家，太治癒了"

"Easy communication before arrival; the host provided helpful travel tips in advance and met us at the tourist shuttle pickup point. Clean and comfortable room. We booked the 4th floor, but the owner thoughtfully upgraded/offered us a more convenient room. Great location inside the village, right next to the Drum Tower. The first picture is the view from our room window, located right beside a famous photo landmark in the village."

"I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is close to where the bus drops you off, near the entrance. The map isn’t completely precise but if you use the chat the host will guide you. It’s quite quiet at night even being the last bend of one of the Main Streets. The bed was ok and spacious. I think I had 2 pillows for a queen/king sized bed. There’s no elevator, but the hosts do offer to help you carry your things upstairs. The doors are wood panels but it belies the nice interior. It’s not the most finished and posh hotel I’ve stayed in, but the views are fantastic, it’s comfortable and the hosts are extremely nice. It is very clean and bathrooms are big I would definitely stay here again."
