"We just completed one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic, perfectly situated for everything we wanted to do, with great walkability and easy access to transport. The room itself was wonderfully spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The quality of the bedding and furnishings made it feel like a true home away from home. We were especially impressed by the excellent in-room equipment, particularly the washer/dryer, which turned out to be an absolute life saver during our stay. The room was immaculately clean throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent every morning, fresh, varied, and delicious, and the staff were genuinely warm and helpful. A special thank you to Ms. Xiao Shi, whose outstanding service and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. The undisputed highlight of our entire trip was hiking from Zhaoxing Dong Village to Tang’an Terraces. The scenery was absolutely spectacular, with sweeping rice terrace views, and we enjoyed the trail in complete solitude."

"設施：升級到了浪漫房型，房間大，配有洗烘一體機，浴缸，智能馬桶。歐舒丹洗護用品。樓下餐廳，早餐現做，食材新鮮。 服務：高鐵站接送服務，所有的工作人員都很熱情，主動提箱子，小孩想抓魚，小姐姐們會聯繫當地村名，好心的帶去農田。 環境：環境好是最大亮點，所處位置是夏格梯田，開門皆是美景，落地窗外綠油油的稻田，不輸更上的堂安梯田，怎麼樣都出片，漫步在梯田，愜意又美好！ 幾分鐘就可以打卡夏格豬圈咖啡，點上一杯飲料，欣賞祖國大好河山，感慨山裡的智慧與不易！"

"A perfect weekend getaway from the bustling city. Tucked away in the mountainous countryside of Guizhou, Zhaoxing Dong Ethnic Minority Village in only three hour ride via high speed train from Guangzhou. The village is quite developed, offering shuttle service to and from the railway station for 10RMB each way. You can also arrange a private ride for 50RMB into the village. The village entrance fee allows 6 days of access into the village for 80RMB. I chose to stay at the Comfort Zhaoxing Inn next to the canola fields, away from the main attractions for a quieter stay. I can see swallows swooping, bugs chirping, and frogs croaking in the fields. My room has floor to ceiling windows offering great views of the mountains, fields, and rice terraces. Remote villages in the mountains are also visible. The inn is ran by a friendly couple. They offer sumptuous breakfast with generous portions. They picked up and assisted with my luggage at the village shuttle station. The village itself is for pedestrian only. They offer complimentary shuttle services every 15-20 minutes that makes various stops if you don’t feel like walking. It was relaxing to stroll along the river and around the village. Instead of taking a shuttle (20RMB round trip) to the rice terraces of TangAn Village, I took the trail that the locals used for centuries before shuttles were available. The trail was paved, crossing creeks, winding through the mountains and rice fields for 7.5km with an elevation gain of about 1,000 meters. The views were spectacular and the food were amazingly delicious and very affordable. I used Zhaoxing Village as a hub for accessing other remote villages. Shuttle buses offering two departures to Huanggang, Basha ethic villages (about an hour ride). Though if there is not enough passengers, they may cancel the service. My stay was memorable, and I plan to go back when the canola flowers are blooming."

"The hotel is great, and the English speaking owner is very attentive! The hotel is located at the edge of the town with greatly helps with the feeling of being in a traditional village (many other hotels are directly on the Main Street which feels artificial and touristy). When booking, don’t forget to message the owner via the platform as they arrange pick up from the train station!! Thank you for a warm and comfortable stay !"

"Beautiful hotel with great views of the village from every room. The staff is very friendly and helpful and some of them speak English. Communication was great via Wechat throughout our stay. They helped us book transfers and recommended a nice restaurant in town where we had one of our best meals in China."

"I had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zhaoxing Dong Village. The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain the village, shared excellent sightseeing tips, and recommended some of the best local restaurants, which made my trip much more enjoyable. To my surprise, she also gave me a complimentary upgrade to a larger room. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location is another huge advantage. The hotel is conveniently located near the entrance of Zhaoxing Dong Village, making it easy to arrive with luggage and begin exploring the village right away. What truly made this stay exceptional was her genuine hospitality. She went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. "房間很大很舒服，最重要是乾淨。落地玻璃窗，窗外的景色非常美，很適合看夕陽。樓頂的露台，一樓的露台，如果晚上看星星會很愜意，可惜這幾天雲霧繚繞。老闆一家人和善親切，老闆很勤快載着客人上山下山，酒店的飯菜也不錯。"
