While the pōhutukawa trees greet you further up the driveway, you’ll still be immersed in birdsong, sea breezes, and the slow rhythm of the land.The apartment features two elevated mezzanine sleeping spaces—one accessed by a wooden and steel staircase, the other by a steel stair. There are 2 bikes here which you are welcome to use and a bike shed if you want to bring your own. There is off street parking for the car too.If the nights get a bit chilly there is a toasty warm Studio wood fire (which I love), very very cosy.The Great Taste Cycle Trail: We are just a couple of minutes from the Wharf where the Mapua Ferry carries people and their bikes connecting Mapua to Rabbit Is as part of the cycle trail linking to Nelson and the other way to Kaiteriteri.The Wharf and the village has a variety of unique shops show casing local artists work, restaurants and cafes fish and chip shop and the Golden Bear Brewery (boutique brewery) often has live music for you to kick back relax and enjoy. I want to mention too that Godwits migrate all the way from Alaska (11000km) to spent time with us and they come to our estuary which is at the end of our street. I find that amazing.
