This stylish home is located on the beachside of Lakeshore Road in desirable Union Pier. There is direct beach access to Miller Street beach from the garden gate.The interior environment cleverly mixes the use of original artwork, artifacts, and antiques in a playful way that captures the essence of coastal living. French doors lead from the kitchen to a side patio that is adjacent to the beach path. Each bedroom has its own French door that opens to an exterior seating area. The property has a fence as well as professional landscaping of the gardens offering you privacy while still being able to hear the waves on the shore. Dining furniture sits under the pergola-covered deck and is an inviting spot to spend the late afternoon relaxing with a good book and a beverage or outdoor dining. Seating is nestled by the firepit for late evening star gazing. We offer 2 full bathrooms as well as a hot and cold beach shower. This is a cottage that you'll be thrilled that you chose for sharing with your loved ones. Our house keeping staff has been groomed and trained to be a cut above the best with attention to details. Reservations are not secured until a 50% rental deposit and a signed contract are received. The balance is due 60 days before the scheduled arrival along with a security deposit and housekeeping fee. There is a 3-night minimum for holiday and Special Event Weekends, at the weekend rate. Payment in full is required with bookings made less than 30 days in advance. Summer rentals are booked as a 8-day/7 night package only. Pier Joy is two cottages from the late 1940s, recently remodeled and joined, booked as one stay. The Cozy cottage and the Hidden cottage still have their own entrances, kitchens, living rooms, and baths. Connecting them gave each side an extra bedroom.The cottages sit on 2.5 wooded acres down a winding private drive, with plenty of room to park. Together they sleep 12: a queen and two fulls in the Cozy cottage, a king and two queens in the Hidden cottage, plus two full baths.Downtown Union Pier is walkable for coffee at Black Currant, dinner at Union Pier Social, and a classic stop at Red Arrow Roadhouse. Three beach accesses are close, including Union Pier Beach, about a 20 minute walk or a few minutes by car. Most guests drive.
