We have purposed the space to fulfill many different interests, including games (pool table, ping-pong table, bumper pool, 5 nostalgic arcade games, poker table, tons of board and card games), a small fitness center and craft space for those who want a creative outlet. *Note* only game boxes on the shelf are available for play. Game boards displayed on wall are for decoration only (with a few exceptions).The fitness space includes a treadmill, concept 2 rower, exercise ball, kettle bells and free weights up to 45lbs.There are basic kitchen necessities including a mini fridge, water cooler, microwave, coffee machine, tea kettle, toaster, electric skillet (upon request), ice maker (upon request), cups, bowls, plates and silverware for a quick and easy breakfast and/or lunch; however no dedicated kitchen space is available to guests.There is one bedroom with a king bed and attached full bathroom as well as an additional half bathroom in the game space.The craft room features a desk and chair that can be used for crafts or as a dedicated workspace as well as two futons for relaxing or for extra sleep space (this is not a private bedroom with a door). When the futons are used as beds, they will have a fully encased 3” memory foam mattress for extra comfort. Be in Shenandoah National Park in less then 15 minutes!Our home is special to us and we hope it will be to you as well. We are located on Swift Run, which is a stocked trout stream- you will need a Virginia fishing license and trout stamp, stocking is usually Oct-Feb. Outside we have a patio to enjoy sitting and relaxing listening to the river and grilling out along with 2 wood fire pits. Inside you can hear the river from both bedrooms.We have a fully stocked kitchen available for your use. One bedroom has a Queen sized bed, and the other has 2 twin beds. Although our home is small, it's very cozy and comfortable. Kitchen towels, dish washing detergent, trash bags, hand soap and a dishwasher are provided for your use. Bathroom towels and wash cloths are also provided with bedroom linens. We have 3 smart tvs and a DVD player along with high speed internet (100mbps) for your convenience. There are 2 outside fire pits, we try to keep wood there, but it's not always guaranteed. We have a pack and play (and sheet) and high chair in the closet of the big bedroom. Other items may be available upon request.We do welcome dogs for a $25 pet fee. No CATS.We are 12 miles from the entrance to skyline drive and with in 30 miles to UVA. Surrounded by birds and wildlife, this spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bath accommodation sits at 3,100 feet and looks down on mountains and ridges with breathtaking 70 mile views! Each bedroom has a queen size bed and a closet and one has an electric fireplace. Living room has a 40" Smart TV and Wifi. The TV also picks up over 50 channels including some from DC and Richmond. Kitchenette includes lots of kitchen utensils and food preparation appliances as well as a full-size fridge/freezer. NO full STOVE/OVEN but does have other types of cooking appliances instead. Outdoor grill and chiminea on private patio. Two decks provide seating to enjoy the beautiful views. Spacious fire circle with ample free firewood. Two friendly dogs live in the main house property, but they do not have access to the Guesthaus, which is a completely separated space from the main home.One dog is allowed for an additional fee of $50 per stay. One older child is allowed when renting this space. NOTE - during the winter months all-wheel drive vehicles are required. Property owner is NOT able to help move vehicles stuck in ice or snow on the mountain. Renters should monitor weather conditions closely. Property owner will try to be flexible with cancellation policy January through March. Amazing variety of flora and fauna.
