Mount Bohemia is just 25 minutes away. Snowmobile trail 133 runs right up to the driveway. We also have snow sleds and snow shoes. The deer are fed at 4 every day. Great for pictures! Lots of Lake Superior shoreline. We have our own small marina! Picnic tables. Tiki hut. Kayaks. Sandy area to walk in. Paddle and Play in the water. Cast a line if you are a fisherman. Jump off the docks. Beach towels are provided. Take a bike ride to the museum in Gay. So much to do on-site! Our spacious vacation houses are completely renovated with lots of popular features. Awesome, open concept great room with enormous windows to enjoy the views of the lake. Includes a well stocked, stainless kitchen, a dining area, an island for even more prep space, and a very comfy living room. We really splurged on the bathrooms, with stone vessel sinks, gold fixtures, and a large custom walk-in shower. We want you to feel pampered here. Our deck is also over-sized and well appointed. We have a grill, an eating area, and a seating/hangout area. Wood is provided for the fire pit. A basket on top of the fridge has the fixings for s’mores. Then, explore the Keweenaw. Our location is so convenient. To the north you’ll find Brockway Mountain Drive, Copper Harbor, Mount Bohemia, Fort Wilkins State Park, quaint museums and antique shops, the Calumet Theater, all just a short drive. Going south a bit you can stop in the mineral museum at Michigan Tech, enjoy lunch and shopping in Houghton and stop for ice cream in Lake Linden. The three spacious, private bedrooms have a queen, a queen, and twin beds and full closet for your luggage. The biggest bedroom also includes a queen sized futon, couch style, suitable for a single person. The large bathroom features a walk-in shower that measures 40x60" for plenty of elbow room. The kitchen shines with stainless appliances and modern comforts. Plus we provide lots of extras to add to the fun of hanging out, such as a coffee pot (we provide the coffee), a waffle maker, a crockpot, and a blender - for berry smoothies or adult beverages. There is grilling available for outdoor meals. We provide either paper plates or classy dishes, depending on how you want to dine for each meal. A large attached porch is perfect for snowmobilers to unpack their gear and for bicyclers to safely store their bikes. Snowmobile trail #133 runs into our driveway. If 4-wheeling in your thing, there is plenty of room to keep trailers and gear on site. A grill with all the tools needed for a yummy cookout. Plus outdoor table, chairs, and umbrella. Each house has a fire pit. We provide wood, kindling, roasting sticks, and the fixings for s’mores.As of 2023, four houses have completed their renovations. The last two are smaller houses. They are patiently waiting for their turn. A collection of bicycles are on a rack by the main driveway. By the docks we have a few kayaks, an inflatable dinghy, and water toys. Swimming, diving, and/or wading in the water are encouraged. We provide beach towels. Clean bathrooms are provided by the docks as well. Corn hole games are by the docks, or are stored in the huge porch or each house. Since we are by the shore, we are 12 miles from restaurants and grocery stores. So we provide food items that can be handy, especially if you are a late arrival. Cans of soup, spaghetti stuff, frozen pizzas, and things like that are stocked. Help yourself. For that first morning we give you coffee, cereal, eggs and frozen waffles. We like to stock locally made jams and other products that come from our area. We tried to think of everything you might need. However we are happy to take suggestions or we can take care of your wishes as needed.
