Great location, nice old building with character.The rooms are a bit worn out though, and getting the suitcases to your room is a bit of a pain going up many stairs. Overall still a great stay, would come back for the location and price.

The hotel is very old and has no elevator, which makes carrying luggage inconvenient, and the staff didn't offer any help. They kept asking about check-in and check-out times, which was a bit odd. The latest check-out time here is 11:30 AM, which is unusually early. The interior is even more run-down and has a strong odor. The owner claimed it was the smell of wood, but it clearly smelled like fresh renovations. Amenities are also subpar; the air conditioning wasn't cool enough, and the outdoor unit was very noisy. There was also a party in the restaurant that day, which was extremely loud. They were singing and dancing from noon until 11 PM, making it impossible to sleep. There was no hot water. The staff said I needed to let it run for 15 minutes, but even after a long time, it never got hot. Thankfully, the temperature here was quite high, so I ended up taking a cold shower. Other than its good location, this place has absolutely nothing going for it.

The hygiene was satisfactory and the location was convenient, very close to Concubine Lane. However, if your room faces the road, the soundproofing is extremely poor, which really affects sleep quality!

Great place, beautiful place, great location. Just that it’s a little noisy as the room is facing the Main Street. So it can get very noisy. Not recommended for light sleeper. Everything else is great.

Our stay over the weekend was great despite a check-in issue at the reception. The location is 600m away from the train station and accessible to places of interest and restaurants on foot. The room we stayed was Kingfisher 1. It’s a semi-half floor layout where the double bed is upstairs and a small sitting area and bathroom downstairs. We’ve stayed this room for the third time. The room was very clean but we wish the tv program will be upgraded from local broadcast to streaming services when we visit next. Overall, this place is always our favorite choice to stay in Ipoh.

We love this heritage transformed hotel. It’s unique in decoration, charming and comfortable in many aspects. Room is Clean n tidy with air-conditioning. Certainly a pleasant experience! 🥰

Amazing experience !

It's antique and has a unique charm. Unfortunately, there's no staff open the door between 5:00 and 8:00, which seems a bit user-friendly. We bought tickets for the 9:00 PM train and wanted to store our luggage after checking out, but they couldn't enter between 5:00 and 8:00, which was a bit inconvenient.

The temperature of the air conditioner cannot be adjusted. After a reaction, it actually said that the temperature of the air conditioner needs to be adjusted by 30°C. It was okay, but after staying for two nights, I came home with a cold. The room was not cleaned the next day, and the towels and bath towels were not changed. The overall feeling was not good😞
