Location is good for nearby meetings, but a few miles from stores and restaurants. Room was clean and modern. A/C worked well. TV system was abysmal.
Only truly annoying feature was hearing people talking in the hallways (at seemingly normal levels...not yelling). Room definitely needs better soundproofing.

It was in a business district with lots of hotels nearby. The parking was an outrageous amount, over $40 for each night. I ended up leaving my car at a friends house and taking an Uber just to save some money.

Paid for 4pm checkout. Had to tell cleaning crew as they kept barging into the room 3 times of late check-out, and that I paid $50 for this privilege. Despite saying this so many times. a little past 12pm the front desk calls saying I should’ve checked out. I reminded them that I paid for a late checkout — the response was ‘oh’. No apology, just, ‘oh’. Stepped out to meet someone at 1pm, got back to the room, my keycards had been deactivated. Visited front desk, told them the issue (deactivated cards), no apology, no admitting a mistake was made, just silently handed me my new keycards. Received a survey for feedback from Hampton Inn, told them about the issue, asked to speak to someone — no response. Found a TripAdvisor card in my wallet from the stay, where Rivera (I imagine the manager) asked for a review, so here it is. Bottom line is, stay was fine, room clean, but super poor communication between staff members , and stubborn front desk that refused to admit to mistakes and made interaction uncomfortable. And then, of course, lack of engagement afterwards shows that this communication problem travels all the way up through management.

And for me I feel like I am bothering the front desk by asking for a fresh change of sheets. But Miss Jody never hesitate and gives me fresh change of sheets. Every time I go down there with a smile on your face, and I really appreciate that. Her kindness and her professionalism is amazing and I just wanted to tell Jody thank you for making me feel comfortable here at the Marriott residence Inn John Wayne Airport. The maid service is excellent. The rooms are amazing The maid service is 100% quality. Just everything about this place is amazing and I want to thank everybody that works here. OOnAir65343916093One-night stay. Shuttle from airport was prompt however driver did not offer to help with luggage. Check-in at 8:30 PM went fine. Sandwich’s at “Bistro” were expensive but no car and late to go elsewhere. Room was very modern and clean. Bed and linens very comfortable! Huge TV! Sink was separate from the toilet and shower room which I like! Our king room had walk-in shower (no tub). Did not purchase breakfast nor use courtyard. Quiet, business-center neighborhood. Check-out and billing was ok although my address on bill was for address & state hundreds of miles away!

The room however was dated with popcorn ceilings, both bathroom doors wouldn't close without a lot of effort (warped), no towel racks, no lotion provided, and sofa bed uncomfortable. The breakfast was unchanged from day to day. The worst part was, when I booked, I used the show taxes and fees option so I knew what I would be paying. The first night of my stay, I was charged an additional $41 without any authorization or explanation of what it was for. I went and spoke to the front desk and the gentleman working there that evening and asked him what the $41 was for? He said it was for taxes and fees. I then explained to him I booked with all taxes/fees and I already paid them and showed him my booking receipt. He still said they were additional taxes. Then he added everything up on a calculator and told me the total I should be paying. Guess what? His total matched my total!!!! I told him yes, I agree! But I was just charged another $41. He then told me it was for additional taxes and not to worry, because it's correct. He couldn't really tell me what ”additional taxes and fees” it was for. He then told me he saw that I wasn't charged for the normal $350 deposit for some reason, and if I wanted, he would go ahead and do that now. Of course I said no, I don't need/want that. He then proceeded to tell me to just pay the $41 since I wasn't charged for the ”incidental deposit” and I should be happy I wasn't charged that. I said but that is a deposit - not a charge and will be refunded if all is well at the end of my stay. He said yes, but he will just go ahead and charge it now since it wasn't charged. He Then asked me if it was ok to charge the $350? I said no. He said don't worry about the $41, if it's an error it will be refunded. He was extremely rude and condescending.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is in a great location, and close to a freeway, also plenty of food available in walking distance. We stayed here with our Team for a sporting event at OC Great Park. Less then 4 mins away. This hotel needs a complete renovation. For one it's in Irvine, you would expect better. 2nd it a Wyndham hotel you would expect better. 3rd it's so close to a huge youth sporting complex, you would expect better. The bathrooms were awful! My daughters refused to shower because it was so dirty. The walls were dirty and moldy, the tub was not clean. The ceiling was peeling off. The floors were disgusting, we made sure our kids wore their shoes until they got to thier bed for the night. These carpet ls have to be a sanitation issue! The pool gate had no mechanism to keep in closed let alone any time of locking device, this is a huge liability issue. Any toddler or child can assess the pool alone.

Lobby and elevator clean. Charging 7.09 to park in an open parking lot seems like allot. But overall very convent location
