Hotel Mesra Haiwan Peliharaan di Ischia

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura per due settimane. All arrivo io e il mio compagno abbiamo chiesto la sostituzione della camera e molto gentilmente ci è stata assegnata una camera più spaziosa. Il personale sala bar e camere gentilissimo . Unico grande problema il reparto termale . A Ischia si va principalmente per le cure termali e ci si aspetta di trovare un clima accogliente, sereno e soprattutto la puntualità nel ricevere i trattamenti. Parto con il dire che gli operatori che ci hanno trattati non hanno colpa, anzi in quella realtà non ci si aspetta di avere a che fare con persone così preparate come Erminia e Marcello, entrambi gentilissimi e bravissimi nel loro lavoro . Purtroppo si deve avere a che fare con una vera incompetente, la signora Carmela la segretaria . Incapace di gestire gli appuntamenti ,di fare un conto ,e tanto tanto altro. E leggendo le recensioni non sono stata l unica a notarlo. Ogni giorno abbiamo atteso ore sia per i fanghi che per il massaggio. Oltre a noi tantissime persone in attesa con gli operatori che non sapevano chi erano e cosa dovevano fare . Abbiamo assistito a scene assurde dove la signora Carmela portava gente che lasciava nel corridoio e dove gli operatori si guardavano tra di loro dicendo ma chi dobbiamo trattare ? Un giorno uno urla ho bisogno dei nomi. Per più di una settimana portava nel corridoio una signora e diceva fango alle mani e la restava per ore .Durante il massaggio entrava la segretaria a chiedere quando finiva la ragazza perché ogni giorno alla mia stessa ora erano segnati massaggi a più persone . Se non entrava dalla massaggiatrice entrava da Marcello e palesemente diceva di farmi stare più in vasca o a riposo e la restavo per ore . Ma il colmo è stato quando ho richiesto il conto …. 3 conti diversi . Per riuscire a pagare ci sono voluti un giorno e mezzo dove è arrivata una signora anziana che “ha fatto il suo lavoro”. Noi non ritorneremo siamo abituati ad altro . Non abbiamo lasciato la struttura perché io grazie alla massaggiatrice ho risolto un problema che mi affligge da tempo, e ci siamo trovati bene con Marcello. Ma è impossibile pensare che al front di un reparto così importante ci sia un incompetente del genere . Da clienti vecchi abbiamo saputo che era una massaggiatrice e che um anno fa e anche in quella mansione non era un gran che . Ci ahanno detto che erano anni che venivano e si sono sempre trovati benissimo con la vecchia segretaria ma che quest’anno anche per loro era un incubo fare le cure . E che in tanti avevano deciso di non farle più . Per ogni trattamento attese di ore . Tutti con massaggi e fanghi alla stessa ora .Abbiamo pensato che per non licenziarla gli è stato cambiato il ruolo … consiglio da cliente che viaggia tanto, va licenziata perché rovina il lavoro svolto in modo eccellente dagli altri operatori , e si percepisce la loro difficoltà e lo stress che subiscono .

Heaving read previous reviews I was worried about what to expect. The room was down several steps of stairs, which meant I was reluctant to return to my room unless I really needed to but the room was bright and airy with a view of the tennis courts and gardens. (I was expecting a “dungeon experience” after reading previous reviews) so was pleasantly surprised. The room was lacking a kettle, as I would have liked to be able to make a coffee or sterilise equipment. Towels were replaced daily which wasn’t necessary and better environmentally if we got to choose when they were replaced. As a Vegan couple, we were worried about what would be on offer and having to survive on food that we bought with us (lots of choc au pains) which we didn’t eat many of. Breakfast had a variety of breads, vegan friendly Marge and a variety of jams. There was always fresh fruit, tinned peaches and granola to enjoy. There was a choice of soya milk or rice milk to have with cereal too. The staff were friendly and the coffee was great. Toast was available on request and tomatoes were available. The food available at the poolside was not suitable for vegans, or at least no vegan option on the menu. The food we saw others getting looked really nice but was expensive as portion sizes were enormous. We didn’t ask for anything vegan, instead going to the shop nearby. Dinner was served quite late, from 8pm which would be really hard for younger families. It was often past 9:30 by the time we got to dessert which meant hard on the digestion before bed. As every meal was usually a 4 course meal, we were interested to see what the vegan option would be. Not every course was to our tastes as my partner dislikes tomatoes and quite a lot of veg. We took the view that with four courses, we could pick and choose what we wanted without going hungry. The starters were often grilled veg, olives or salad or focaccia (my favourite). Mains were risotto, pasta, soup. Seconds included schnitzel with rosemary roasted baby potatoes, tofu etc. every day was very different and we particularly enjoyed our waiter trying to explain what we were having, with him really struggling at times to put it in to English. Our waiter was lovely, and amused as he tried to work out what we could have. His English was good, but translating vegan menus was quite challenging. The first few days of arrival were harder as it was clear they hadn’t had time to think about a vegan menu and what could be done, but as the week went on, the service was much faster and menu had been planned in advance. the food was amazing and we felt well cared for. I was put off buying wine as the wine menu was so expensive. At 25 euros a day, over the week the bill would have been 175 euros to have a bottle of wine with each meal, then a further 3 euros a day for a bottle of water. The cost of wine at the local shop was only 1.80 euros, so we were better off having wine before dinner and just buying a glass each for the meal, wh

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilitated an early checkin, and late check-out to accommodate work plans. The hotel is well located close to Ischia Porto, and has clearly been re-decorated recently, with a fresh pain feel. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay again.

This is very nice, four-star hotel in the Ponte Ischia section of the island not far from the Castello Argonese. It is about a 5-10 taxi ride from Porto Ischia. The nearby town has several excellent restaurants with the emphasis of fresh seafood. I would avoid Ristorante A’Paranza. Although the food was very good, the owner kind of Shanghai-ed into a very expensive dinner. The hotel is small, quiet and charming with beautiful white and blue color themes. The positives: staff was uniformly wonderful, especially Lorenzo, at the reception desk who seemed to work non-stop. Our room was a little small, but had a nice little balcony with a table and chairs and a (distant) water view. Fluffy bathrobes and slippers are provided in the rooms. Restaurante Argonese offered a fabulous gourmet dinner with the most attentive and professional staff you will find. The pool area was clean with comfortable lounge chairs and had a small restaurant near it staffed by another friendly and attentive employee. The pool water was cooler than I would have liked. The spa was OK although we didn’t use any of the services offered. The full breakfast is served by a wonderful staff with great la carte choices and ample quantities. Negative: the water pressure in the shower was very low. All-in-all, we were very pleased with the hotel.

A return to this Ischia hotel after 18 years. It has changed in some ways - less a**ospheric perhaps and a tad less friendly - but it retains the wonderful location, the sea vistas from the terrace where meals are served alongside a summer bar with a nightly piano singer and the well appointed rooms. Our sea facing balcony was nicely shaded during the very hot afternoons so well worth the upgrade. Room was comfortable with walk in shower. We were given a nice complimentary Prosecco bottle and fruit on arrival, but water is not free in the room (€5 a bottle) which doesn’t feel right in a 5* hotel; nor does the woefully intermittent Wi-Fi reception. The spa was good, with excellent massages. Breakfasts were decent buffets, but again a tad surprisingly, omelettes attract a €15 surcharge. We had a nice dinner on the terrace our first night, but enjoyed some of the excellent local restaurants other nights. Overall a nice hotel, but it could benefit from a more generous attitude to its guests in the small things.

Well what a great hotel. Perfect location and lovely staff. We just literally walked out of our hotel each day and so much was on the doorstep. The beds were comfy we both slept really well. Bathroom was great with a huge shower. We had a room overlooking the harbour with a nice balcony although it was too hot to sit on in the afternoon so we would go upstairs to the rooftop pool which was heated and a lovely blue colour and not green as mentioned in some other articles. The staff by the pool were most helpful and provided us with little snacks and gin and tonics galore whenever we requested them. There are plenty of sunbeds on the roof terraces so no need to rush to reserve a space as there is room for everyone. Breakfast was served from 7.30am to 10.30am and was cakes, pastries, fruit, cheese, ham and eggs coffee, juices etc. All fresh and lovely. Cannot recommend enough and would definitely come back.
