Ulasan Hotel Castle Inn Ise

The rooms in this hotel are incredibly small; we couldn't even open two suitcases. When we first entered our room, there was a huge bug. We asked for a higher floor, but the front desk initially said there weren't any available. However, when I mentioned the bug, suddenly a room on a higher floor became available, which was clearly an attempt to deceive us. On the positive side, the hotel has an open-air hot spring on the upper floor, which is a big plus. It's about a 15-minute walk to Ise Station.

I was able to use the free shuttle service from Ise-shi Station when checking in. However, it was already fully booked for check-out. If you don't have too much luggage, it's within walking distance. We only got one welcome drink per person, and for amenities beyond the standard in-room items, you had to pick them up yourself on the first floor. There was a FamilyMart conveniently located right across the street. Our room was decent, and we didn't encounter any issues. The bathhouse on the 12th floor was excellent. It had both indoor and outdoor sections, and for those who appreciate the warmth and scent of wood, it was perfect. It really helped me relax after my travels. 😄

Nice hotel with Hot Spring. Room size is really small for level 2-06 though, otherwise it was perfect.

Outdoor bath was lovely and the only real redeeming feature of this hotel. It was a 20 minute walk from Iseshi station and felt like in the middle of nowhere. There were no restaurants or eateries open for dinner on a Wednesday evening so I had to buy food from Family Mart. Rooms are clean but quite dated. I paused for breakfast in advance and it was sub-par.

You need to check in early enough so that your car could be packed in the hotel compound. Otherwise, you need to park your car in the neighborhood. Pool on the roof is good and the size of room is also good.

The location is good, very quiet, however, do note that it's about a 20 minute walk to Iseshi train station (or a short bus ride). There's a convenience store just across the road, but very few other places of note in the immediate vicinity. The room was sufficiently large with all the necessary facilities, and all was in generally good condition. The staff was very kind and the service was good. Overall, good value for money

Cheap but clean, near family Mart, you can't complain for a twin room around 9000 yen per night
