Hotel Miyahira

The breakfast buffet tastes amazing. And the location is really great. We’d like to have a stay again. The photo below was taken at the Jananese restaurant at Misaki building.

Convenient location with many shops and restaurants nearby, they also jave their own shops and restaurants. It is right opposite to the pier and bus terminal.

The location is perfect, with very convenient transportation—especially for trips to the outlying islands. The hotel breakfast is delicious and features distinct local flavors. The room facilities in the East Wing are somewhat dated and the rooms aren't particularly large, but they are kept very clean.

The location of this hotel is good, very convenient. However, service is no good - very rigid. Staff not really helpful. This time is our third visits to Ishigaki Island and the service of this hotel is not helpful. We stayed 5 nights and two rooms. Hotels in this kind of area usually provide towels for guests to take out for snorkelling, swimming etc, but this hotel is very rigid on this and couldn't provide any help. They provide one bottle of drinking water for each guest per night, and no extra bottle can be provided. Slippers are of bad quality. Worst of which is the air-conditioner and pillow, I didn't manage to have even just one night good sleep. The air-con was either cold or hot...and the pillow is just awful. Sorry, I won't recommend this hotel and won't be staying at there again.

Location is excellent. Near the ferry terminal and down town.

There are 3 different buildings in this hotel, please make sure you choose the "Misaki Wing", as it is the newest building and it will face the ocean terminal side. The room is actually not that roomy, however, it is reasonably clean. Floor space is lacking for 2 adults with barely enough room to open two suitcase. However, I would recommend this hotel considering its prime location to the terminal and nearby restaurants. One thing to note is that, if you arrive at the hotel early before the check-in time, the hotel staff would not let you check-in early. Therefore, in the lobby, you will see many people waiting for the official time to check-in, and when the time comes, many people will line-up get checked-in. This is rather a chaotic situation and can be easily solved if the hotel can simply allow guest to check-in earlier. I was there 30 mins early and was told I cannot check-in and need to wait. But it was not a busy season and there are so many rooms in this hotel.
