On our way home from our second stay here. Last time we stayed on the seafront part of the resort ..this time we stayed in block 6 of the plaza sideand ended up with a splendid sea view and felt the atmosphere was mi h more relaxed and a more fun vibe. Apartment was amazing with the biggest most comfotmrtable bed and the best pillows . Food is amazing ..what a selection and so good ..Drinks and food at the pool bar was just fab ..chicken wings and sangria to die for ...special mention ro Alex,Eva and the whole entertainment team ..they are just brilliant..had the whole place getting involved e eryday ..all in all it's an amazing resort ..only downside is there us a beautiful bar and lounge area but the lights are akways up and no music being played ..even the playlists that are plated at the pool woould be amazing but we are looking forward to recharging the batteries there next october ..thankyou Barcelo from Jane &Tom ireland 🇮🇪 😍

What a find! This modern, spacious and well equipped two-storey villa has 5 bedrooms and is a world of luxury. A 20-25 minute walk from the airport along a safe dual use cycle path / footpath, you don't need a taxi or a bus. We booked Magma Rooms for the first 2 nights of a 7 day visit, as was arriving late 10pm+ from the UK. A second night at Magma was good to explore nearby restaurants and visit the beach in the day. What can I say about the room? It had everything you needed from free-to-use safe, flat screen TV, power shower, hairdryer, fan, extra pillows and blankets. In the shared facilities there is a Nespresso machine and mini bar fridge (pay via honesty box) as well as wine glasses, bottle opener etc. They have thought of everything! After check-out we then walked back to the airport to catch the # 161 bus to Puerto del Carmen (1.40€ each).

The reception staff and staff in the Royal level restaurant were perfect. We celebrated 2 birthdays during our stay and they went out of their way to make it memorable . The only improvements to make would be to have a separate Royal level bar in the evenings with premium drinks, as we have had this in other venues owned by the Barcelo group.. We were also disappointed with the final day when we were not leaving til late afternoon, we could not keep the room on and the showers that we were offered were in the main toilets with no privacy. Overall we had a great 2 weeks and would return to this hotel.

The rooms to the front do have a balcony overlooking the sea, the rooms to the other side of the building have a Juliet balcony overlooking the mountains and the city, which personally, I felt was the poorest capital city I have visited in Spain. The rooms in the middle don't even have a Juliet balcony! I wasn't in them but they surely get all the noise carried out through the inner courtyard, the people on the corridors, talking guests, suitcases carried... The rooms per se are fine, spacious and clean. If you are having to find a hotel in the capital, then this is perfect, otherwise, look a better accommodation place. The breakfast is alright... the coffee is poor quality. There is no pool, but the beach right opposite is great. the wifi is fine to be fair, maybe a bit shaky in the evening when all guests are using it. Out of the staff members, Alex (reception) is the best and the guys at the breakfast bar; but others are not committed to provide a good service to the guests (avoid the reception manager at all costs, she has some attitude issues, especially for this type of business). The worst part of being a city hotel is the location of the garage, which is nearby... but logistically, it's a nightmare.

There seems to be a lot of negativity about this hotel, but many I feel are unwarranted. For the price you pay for this hotel - we felt that the hotel matched our expectations and the price is fair. Staff: The staff at the hotel are very friendly. We missed the evening meal, so they had made us a pack up to take to our room when we arrived - which doesn’t always happen. The room & balcony was cleaned daily and fresh towels left. The cleaning team work hard and clean all corridors and stair wells daily too. They do a great job! Hotel & Rooms: The hotel its self is clearly going through renovations. The reception, bar and restaurant have all been recently modernised. The room we stayed in was very tired and in need of modernisation - however, it was useable. The mattresses and pillows were relatively new and very comfortable and the room itself was clean. There were a few small issues such as the door frame in the bathroom was coming lose, but we felt this was a minor issue. Food & Drink The drinks menu is available on request and has a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Cocktails are not included and cost €6. I had a couple of these and they were well worth it! The restaurant is catering for a range of cultures and taste buds. You can’t go to an All Inclusive buffet abroad and expect a full British banquet! There was a huge range of choice, although not everything to our taste. There was however, always a couple of options that we liked at each meal. Pool: The pool is cold! But once you are in the water, it’s fine. There is a large main pool, a children’s pool with slides and flumes and a baby pool too. Much more variety than most hotels. The poolside does need some attention, as some of the grates / plastic drains around the pool are lose and cracked, which could cause an injury. I’d be more concerned if I was travelling with an older child who was playing in the pool. Some floor tiles were also cracked. There were plenty of sun beds available daily either by the pool or on a sun terrace. We also requested a parasol most days, which the lifeguard happily got for us. Location The hotel is slightly out of the Costa Teguise centre - but we liked this. It was only a 20 mins stroll at a gentle pace or less than €4 in a taxi into town and the nearest beaches. In summary, we were happy with the hotel and felt it met our expectations for the price we paid. if you’re looking for 5* luxury, then you need to pay those prices! If you’re looking for somewhere simple but friendly and clean then you can’t go wrong!
