The guesthouse is ideally located between the main town of Portree and the somewhat smaller village of Uig. The house itself is large, spacious and has a wonderful view of the estuary from its elevated position. The owners/hosts are pretty much perfect in that they are around just when you might need them and pretty much invisible when you don't. The rooms are clean, large, have a TV with Freeview and tea and coffee making facilities and car parking is right outside. Breakfasts are superb, freshly made and served quickly. Coffee is again freshly made and is self service as is the continental breakfast. All in all it's one of the best guesthouses I've ever stayed in and a credit to the owners.

First time visiting Skye. Guest house was absolutely great. Room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The views were amazing! Hosts were lovely - visible when needed but otherwise left us to it. Breakfast was amazing. Freshly cooked, top quality products. Nothing seemed too much for the hosts. If we ever return to Skye we would stay here again.

This guest house has rave reviews and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I was with a group so maybe that explains why we never saw the "friendly" hosts? My room was tiny, twin beds with a foot between them, one crammed against a radiator that, luckily, I didn't need to use. A view of a driveway. When one of our group got very ill, and had to arrive by taxi a day after the rest of us, there was no one there to greet her or tell her which room was hers. She finally saw a woman who brusquely told her "I'm only doing laundry" and didn't assist. Unacceptable, I'm sorry. Breakfast was average. And the first place I've stayed on multiple continents with no shaver outlet in the bathroom. Yes, the location is lovely and living room is pretty, but that's about it.

We stayed three nights in this lovely guest house. Everything about our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were lovely. It was great sitting in the lounge area reading a book while looking out over Loch Eyre.

The beds were quite comfortable and the room, though small was well appointed. Good location for seeing the sites and the host David was very helpful with tips and ideas. Breakfast was good and there were lots of choices. Gorgeous views out the front window of the property. Great value for the money.

Visited September 2023 with my son.. Location beautiful with great views only 12 minutes away from Portree My only disappointment was the extremely small room, just a small bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was good, and everything was warm .

Dear Lynn and David and not to forget Fredy 🥰 thank you very much for your great hospitality! You did a great job! Breakfast was very good, you even had fresh fruits! Other b&b havn’t had fruits for breakfast. The living room with fireplace was very cosy. Especially during my stay. I had lots of snow! How cosy it was to sit by the fireplace, to read a book and to sip a Scottish whisky. My room was nice and clean too. Lovely little balkony. I appreciate the new carpet in my room. Well, it’s a little drive to the next restaurants but if the road is free from snow it’s no problem at all 😉 I really enjoyed my stay with you very much, so I extended. Beautiful view.

We spent two night at Loch Eyre House and would give everything about it 5 stars. From the welcoming atmosphere to the rooms and location. It was wonderful. Only 10 minutes from beautiful Portree. I had booked a loch view room and am so glad I did. It was spectacular. The rooms are small but have everything in them. Beautiful bathroom and a comfy bed. What more do you need? Absolutely perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely b&b that was peaceful and well run . View of Loch Eyre from lounge and our balcony was well worth it . The hosts pay great attention to all the details and rooms are very well appointed . Nice touch of mugs , teas and biscuits in rooms . Breakfast was hot and tasty ( you place your requests the night before ) and yogurts , fruits and yummy croissants are offered . David & Lynn are excellent hosts . Would definitely return.
