My husband and I needed a place to stay for Thanksgiving night, as we went for Thursday and Friday to my daughter’s, who lives in Rainier Beach. We live about 22 miles north of Rainier Beach and I don’t like to drive in the dark, so we’ve tried various places close to my daughter’s. We’ve stayed previously at the Hyatt at The Landing, but the cost keeps going up! We tried an airbnb, but my husband, who is visually impaired, did not like it at all. This Residence Inn should have been great! I liked the “suite” - it was like having a little “home away from home”. A total kitchen, the refrigerator was cold; the freezer was frozen. My husband and I prefer to sleep in separate spaces, and he slept on the pull out couch bed. There was good separation of the “living room” area and where the bed was, which I was going to sleep in. We made up the pull out couch bed for my hubby and he jumped in and fell asleep. I got ready for bed and watched a bit of television on the large tv that created a divider between the bed and the “living room” area. I got sleepy and crawled between the sheets of the bed. I was wide awake within a few minutes. The bed was so uncomfortable! The longer I latex there trying to sleep, the worse my body hurt. My lower back and my hips were screaming at me. No matter how I tried to lay, my body was hurting. At home I sleep on memory foam, which keeps all my joints happy and prevents “pressure points”, but I really discovered what those pressure points were in the bed here this night. Finally, at about 1 AM, I checked my phone to see how long it would take us to get home - 33 minutes! No traffic, clear skies and roads! I woke my husband and a decision was made! We were home and I was asleep by 2 AM. I guess we will have to pay the price of the hotel with the better beds for Christmas. I am disappointed; I had really wanted to like the Residence Inn. Maybe because I am older I need a better bed than what was in our room here, but I won’t waste my money again. Take heed.

Maybe one of the hotels that offer room services during your stay - so many just don’t do it anymore even though we are paying so much more - plus breakfast is awsome with good quality of food - except for frozen strawberries and pineapple - why? Make no sense - but overall berry satisfy with their services

PPengguna TetamuRoom are nice and sizeable. Lots of activity rooms and a great laundry. Rooms are not cleaned unless requested 24 hours in advance and then cleaning is minimal. Breakfast area is large and expansive. The breakfast choices are extremly limited. One morning no cereal was out and the next morning cereal was out but no bowls. Eggs were the same everyday. Only one waffle machine for an 8 story hotel seems pretty minimal. Yogurt was not stocked on one day but was on the next. Really need to address this breakfast as it was below standards for most hotels and those standards are not very high.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at the hotel two times in April and May. Consistency is the best measurements of quality and good service. This hotel has offered consistency in both service and stay. Positive(s): Friendly front desk staff, nice pantry with extras for stay, excellent restaurant with very friendly staff, restful rooms and comfortable beds, coffee and refrigerator in room is convenient. Ample parking. Very clean hotel! Helpful Tip: The restaurant is worth the effort. The chicken ceasar salad is great. The chef marinades the chicken and is tasty! The gumbo is very tasty also with a large portion that can be shared. Negative(s): Limited restaurants within walking distance, but nice restaurants within close distance. We will definitely stay again!

SSpinningvortexMachinery noise was going at it all night, so much so that the room and bed was shaking. The hotel was so dated that the floors shake when someone walks by the corridors. The furniture has been refurbished so the rooms were a little better than your average motel. TV was also broken in the room.
