The absolute best location, the staff were the best I have experienced, they treated us to Turkish coffee, Turkish delight and chocolates everyday. We often ended up sitting at reception just chatting and drinking coffee. They booked all our excursions for us and went the extra mile with everything. The rooms were so comfortable and spacious, the mini bar was so well stocked and had delicious treats and a big variety of drinks. This stay was one of the reasons we loved Istanbul so much. This place is truly a gem 💎

Apartmen ini kecil mengikut piawaian kami, tetapi ia mempunyai semua yang anda perlukan untuk berehat di antara hari-hari sibuk bersiar-siar. Ia sangat bersih dan perkhidmatan pembantu rumah disediakan setiap hari. Lelaki muda di kaunter penyambut tetamu sopan dan suka menolong, berbahasa Inggeris. WiFi stabil yang baik, penghawa dingin/ pemanas di dalam bilik. Air panas dengan aliran yang baik pada bila-bila masa sepanjang hari. Katil yang sangat selesa. Ruang duduk kecil untuk secawan teh di tingkap, yang boleh anda buka dan biarkan udara segar masuk. Kami telah melawat burung camar yang sangat jinak, permulaan hari yang baik. Pemandangan indah dari teres atas bumbung kecil, di mana anda boleh memasak sarapan pagi. Kawasan yang tenang, dalam jarak berjalan kaki dari dataran Sultanahmet, pelbagai restoran dan kedai. Tidak akan mengesyorkan kepada orang yang lebih tua/kanak-kanak kecil: tangga yang agak curam.

We stayed there as a couple with 4 children. The area is very busy and things are really cheap and people are very friendly. It’s easy access to the Metro in Beyazit, however it’s a 10 mins walk uphill to get to the tram station. Not a problem as such as you will soon find Istanbul is all up and down! but with the hot season, something to think about. There are many taxis that can take you up if you choose not to walk. Everywhere around this apartment is very cheap. There are many shops that are open until late, it was very convenient with the kids and safe area to walk to and from the apartment. Everything is 10 times cheaper than the area of Sultan Ahmet. In terms of the apartment itself, you get what you pay for. The apartment is very safe and they have a staff at the reception 24hrs. The apartment has air conditioning which is a massive plus if you’re staying in August because it’s boiling outside. Although this was in one room. It takes a bit of time to cool down the 2 bedrooms. The furniture is quite dated but the beds were comfy and we slept well. the kitchen facilities are not that great/ accessible for use. The missus was a little apprehensive to touch anything as the stovetop was open and didn’t seem safe. She was insistent there was a strong smell of gas. The bathroom could do with updating as there was mould on the ceiling which left a bad stuffy smell daily. To be fair, when the ladies got in to clean for us, it was manageable but again not the best. As I said you get what you pay for, and as we were on a budget and just needed a place to sleep at night, we managed with it. If you are out all day and only come home for a short and sleep, it’s great. On that note, the staff and owner are lovely and receptive. We thank them for our stay. Don’t hesitate to stay there, the owner just need to spend a bit to upgrade the furnitures and sort out the moulds in the bathroom ceiling. A bit of effort of putting a clean kettle goes a long way. The mini fridge in the room is a massive plus as we could buy our own groceries everyday and snacks and kept replenishing our fridge. Terdapat sebuah taman yang agak besar betul-betul di sebelahnya, dan terdapat banyak restoran, pasar raya, dan kedai buah-buahan yang murah, dan ia juga berdekatan dengan metro dan trem. Peralatan tempat tidur hotel juga bersih. Sayang sekali tiada peti ais. Terdapat bunyi di sekeliling dan saya tidak dapat membuka pintu. Semuanya berpuas hati.

Сразу скажу - в целом в отеле нам понравилось. Но он, как и Стамбул, полон контрастов.... Теперь по порядку. От Аксарай до отеля дойти просто и легко, главное критически относиться к гугл-карте, она иногда не видит переходов и ведет через .... . В самом отеле встретили радушно, напоили с дороги чаем. После недолгих переговоров согласились, что можно оплатить не только долларами, но и по карте, за что им огромное спасибо (в паре соседних магазинчиков карты принимать наотрез отказались). Дальше начались контрасты. 2-х местный номер-студия - это совсем не то, что на фото. Номера маленькие, две кровати помещаются вдоль стены + шкаф + 2 места на 3 предмета (холодильник, стол и пуф), поэтому пуф постоянно жил под столом, тогда хватало места пройти. Но какие же в этом отеле прекрасные матрасы! Мы на них так чудесно высыпались после долгого шатания по городу, что на размеры комнаты не обращали внимания. Сначала нам предложили номер на 2 этаже, где вход в санузел был из комнаты, а сам санузел был максимально совмещен - душ был практически над унитазом и они вместе отгораживались от умывальника шторкой. После нашего дружного восхищения изгибами инженерной мысли, нам предложили номер этажом выше, где с санузлом все было уже в полном порядке, и из окна был приятный вид на улицу, в конце которой угадывалось море. Из приятностей - в номере был чайник, в качестве контраста - не было стаканов. Непонятно. На вопрос где взять емкости для чая, хозяин отеля сходил в соседнее кафе и принес оттуда штук 6 одноразовых стаканов, правда уборщица на следующий день выкинула все, включая чистые (лайфхак - если взять кружки там, где накрывают завтрак и прятать их холодильник, то их там не найдут!). К слову об уборке, убирались хорошо, даже развешенные на спинке кровати вещи аккуратно складывали в шкаф. И продолжали их туда убирать даже после просьбы этого не делать. Вообще персонал отеля произвел очень приятное впечатление, старались помочь по любому возникающему вопросу. К примеру, в первый же вечер показали ближайшую аутентичную кафешку ( направо из отеля, направо за угол, и дальше метров 50, пока не увидите с аппетитом едящих турок. Очень вкусные плов и чечевичный суп! ), а на следующее утро накормили завтраком, хотя мы не разобрались и опоздали минут на 40. К слову о завтраках. Накрывают их в духе минимализма - колбаска, сыр, яйца, оливки, зелень, масло, джемы, чуть выпечки, чай, кофе, сок из пакета. Наесться до обеда вполне хватает. А если захочется разнообразия, рядом без труда можно найти, где перекусить. Расположение отеля удачное. За 5-7 минут можно дойти до мечети Сулемание, за которой находится Mimar Teras Cafe с прекрасным видом на Золотой Рог, а если пойти дальше в сторону Египетского базара и Эминеню, можно оценить тесные ряды нетуристического турецкого рынка. За те же 5 минут можно дойти до станции метро Vezneciler ( для обладателей карты Tinkoff - рядом есть Hulkbank!!! ) и через 2 остановки оказаться в начале улицы Истикляль или через 3 на площади Таксим. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. We had difficulties finding the place and was walking and asking a couple of times when suddenly the owner appeared in front of us. Apparently someone message him that we are looking for Emirhan. When we arrived he made coffee while finishing the registration paperwork. The owner also helped carrying one of our 10kg luggage while escorting us to the Guesthouse. He even helped carrying it when we checked out to our next stay which is 10 minutes walk. Our room was on the 5th floor by stairs only, but it was worth it. The room is very spacious, with coffee making facility, refrigerator and a microwave. Bathroom with hot water shower. Water pressure is very good. Bed was comfortable. Aircon was cold. Many windows, with one side overlooking the ocean at a distance. The balcony is also spacious and overlooking the ocean as well. Door lock looked strong and secure. There's an electronic remote to open the main door to the house so we have a 24h access. The location is a 10 minutes walk from Sultanahmet, a bit downhill. A small supermarket is within 5 minutes distance. A few choice of restaurants are available in the vicinity, with lower prices compared to those in Sultanahmet.

Airport Residence Hotel Review Location: Some reviews have commented the hotel is not near the airport. It is not at, or on the airport but it is very close to SAW Airport on the Asian side of Istanbul. Its maybe 5 minutes in a taxi, its not walking distance. It is NOT close to IST Airport which is the other airport in Istanbul which is on the European side of the (massive) city. If you want to be close to down-town Istanbul centre, or IST airport then this hotel is not so convenient for that. We were looking to be in the Pendik area and this hotel is perfect for that. For local transport it is easy to get taxi, Bitaksi or Uber here, there are also bus stops just outside the hotel. Neighbourhood: Some reviews complained about the neighbourhood. It is fine. It is working class Turkish city suburbs. It is not a tourist five star beach resort. There is a shopping mall to the side of the hotel but it is not so great. There are plenty of shops and café and restaurants on the street and there are three supermarkets along the street also. Walk a little further there is a big shopping mall with clothes stores and fashion stuff etc. There are even some of the global chain operations like Costa Coffee and Burger King if you want. The restaurants on the street are cheaper and nicer though! Reception, facilities: The hotel is a fairly basic hotel. There is no business centre, no gym, no pool. There is a front desk and the breakfast area. The reception was helpful and efficient. Good English is spoken. The guys on desk seemed friendly to me all the time I was there. The breakfast is fairly basic cold buffet with tea from a samovar and juice. There is free Wi-Fi – I stayed a week for work and found the Wi-Fi to be good for work use. Rooms: I had an apartment suite on the fifth floor. The room was spacious and comfortable. I had one double bedroom, one bedroom with twin single beds. There was an additional single bed in the lounge/dining room area. Nice big sofa. There is a small kitchenette but no cooking equipment (nor crockery, cutlery) is provided. I borrowed some cutlery etc from breakfast so I could eat in my room from food I brought in from the local shops and takeouts. I used the fridge to store iced tea and fruit juice etc. There is a kettle to make tea and coffee – provide your own tea & coffee though. There is a shower room but not a bath. Basic bathroom sundries are provided. The bed was comfortable, the mattress firm, the linen and towels were clean and fresh every day. There was no wear other signs of age to the linens. The room was quiet and I slept well. The room décor is basic but fresh and appropriate. Some reviews mentioned the air conditioning being a problem. I stayed one week in March 2023 and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The room was serviced daily and kept clean. Overall: This is a value priced hotel which offers a good service and a good standard of “no-frills” accommodation. It

Located in Taksim area and not far from Taksim Square and even the pick up/drop off point of Hava Bus. The Hava bus stop located just in front of Point Hotel in the Taksim and from Point Hotel have to walk to the left side and walk straight till you arrived at the downhill junction on your left, walk straight the downhill to the hotel and you will see it on your right hand side. The room was spacious, it has kitchen, washing machine, mini refrigerator, TV and safe box in the closet. I had heater disruption when I was showering. The staff was help helpful but not so friendly. To stay again to this hotel in the future, I might say NO because of the uphill/downhill with a baggage definitely not convenient.

Airport bus ”HavaBus” drops almost 200.meters away from the hotel. Location is amazing, you get to see the sea righr from your bed. Plenty of eateries (lahmuchan, corba, sis, kebap, simit, tea, bakhlava) and if you dont want the amazing Turkish food, you can also get Burger King and McDonalds as well. The room is clean, has electric kettle, A/C, heater, wifi, safe neighborhood, sea view, access to public transportation, ferry Cos Bazar video 13 sea gulls 1 Sultan Ahmet area (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc) is right across the main street. Fair warning though, no elevator. So if you have large suitcases, you will have a tough time climbing the stairs to the fifth floor. Rooms are small, dont expect huge rooms in budget prices.
