Nasty hotel and a big scam. The hotel has no air conditioning in summer. It does but they have taken away the remotes and they tell you it’s broken. However when I put a chair and turned on manually it worked. They do this to save pennies. I was told to leave the window open with all the noise and construction. All rooms are smoked in and stink. They are advertised as smoke free but they are not.  There are no elevators. There are no fridges in the room. The hotel was advertised as serving free breakfast. Forget about free; There are no breakfasts. Nothing. Not even a bottle of water or a cup of tea. The room is so tiny I had to open my suitcase on the bed. I have been to alot of cities and hotels and this one was by far the nasties. Disgusting scammers. The safety deposit box was not working and I was told it was because of the earthquake. Just one lie after another. Cheap, ******* lies. The place was so nasty I left for another hotel after one day although I knew I would not get a refund. First time I do this in my life. I am not rich but I advise you to spend a little more and get a better place with good reviews. Dont be fooled by the photos. Trips.com won’t help you one bit. After a lengthy online chat I was given some $30 in points. Basically nothing. Be careful with hotels in Istanbul and always take one star away. A 4 star is a 3 star at best, a 3 is a 2, and so on. Dont make the mistake I made. Spend a a little more and have a better time. Goos luck.

Don’t believe the photos. The place itself is not even similar to them. Upon check in, they put us in a basement small room claiming this is a suite!! After complaining they said this is the suite for the paid price. This is totally a lie as there is nothing mentioning the suite is in the basement. They said if we are to change the suite floor, we have to pay extra money!! We complained again and they moved us at last the day after. Cleaning is not good. Even there was remains of previous use of cups. They didn’t bother to clean them properly. Only stay here if you only need a bed to sleep and also if you are traveling alone. And don’t expect much.

The actual room doesn't match the photo; it's very small, barely larger than the bed. There's no kettle or refrigerator. Drinking water isn't provided.

We were very pleased with the hotel. We booked a suite with a Lyra terrace. Spacious, cozy, clean, large balcony, but be prepared to climb the stairs to the 5th floor. Other room categories are below. Near Istiklal Street, Taksim metro station, funicular to Kabatas port. The metro ride to the new airport is 1.20.

The area has a busy nightlife, so don't expect to get much sleep. The room is very small for two, for one small person without much luggage it will do just fine. I am satisfied because my requirements were not too high.
