We booked this through EasyJet for a family mini break with friends who live in Turkey. It was a Monday to Friday break leaving from Manchester. We chose this hotel because of its location. The hotel was about an hours drive from the main Istanbul International Airport. Excellent commute through Istanbul at peak time. The hotel was in a quiet location about a ten minute walk to the are where you will find the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and the Basilica Cisterns. Reception was quiet and we were quickly checked in. Our room was 119 (family room). It was simply yet beautifully decorated which was in keeping (in our opinion) with the culture and history of Istanbul. Two single beds and a double, two bedside cabinets, dresser and a smallish wardrobe with a safe. The bathroom was large with an excellent shower. EasyJet advertises this hotel as having a bar and a restaurant. We feel this is somewhat misleading. Whereas there is a bar, it is not staffed and you cannot get alcohol. There is no restaurant. We don’t know if these are both seasonal as we came February half term. Nevertheless, it didn’t spoil our stay. In fact, enhanced the peacefulness of the hotel. There is a roof terrace with excellent views and there is evidence of a bar but time of year we can understand how it’s not used but you can still sit there. We used the spa facilities (sauna and pool) easyJet use an excellent long lense camera … The pool is tiny; no ones but was a welcoming attraction for our children and likewise the sauna for my husband. Breakfast was plentiful. It was buffet; a few hot items changed daily, cereals, breads, cheeses, meats, yoghurts, Turkish delights etc. no toasting facilities. Staff at the hotel are so friendly and polite and I feel this is a massive advantage to the hotel. The lobby area is comfortable and we made use of this to sit and chill out with snacks etc we bought from the local supermarket. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and we would visit again.
