A lovely and charming old school hotel with excellent and attentive service, cant be beat location and just right breakfast. Our night manager sentus to two VERY good restaurants with amazing views of the city and super food, that we would never have found otherwise. Tiny drawbacks are spotty but adequate wifi and a lack of power outlets but otherwise 5 stars .

Excellent position short uphill walk to all the Sultanahmet sites (blue mosque, artisans bizarre, aya Sofia, hippodrome, cistern & archaeology museum). The rooftop bar was closed but provided great views. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. When we asked for pancakes at breakfast, there weren’t any, but the next morning they were there! The hotel was clean with lovely mosaics and old stone work. I could faintly hear the call to prayer at 5am, but with some many mosques around that’s not surprising.

This hotel is perfectly situated to explore the old city of Istanbul. From its roof terrace you can see the Sea of Marmora and the Blue Mosque .It is quite old-fashioned in a good way. It has restrained decor, and a collection of ancient artefacts on show making it almost a museum (mosaics, columns and capitals etc). It has a dining room, and the breakfast is a comprehensive buffet. We didn't have dinner there. The rooms are comfortable with en-suite including a jacuzzi bath which worked! Its main selling point however is its staff. The reception staff could not be more helpful. They are eager to please and will do their utmost to help with whatever problem you present. They will give directions.They will arrange excursions. They will phone drivers to find out how near they are, and keep you updated, and give (i believe) unbiased recommendations on everything. They will keep your room stocked with supplies. Any request is dealt with quickly and with a smile.They seem genuinely interested in their guests. I can't praise them highly enough. They have an old-fashioned sense of service. The restaurant wait staff are also very attentive and efficient.

We stayed in this hotel 4 nights. Pitty that terace was not yet open becauseof the fantastic view. Everithing wass perfect. The whole staf was extremely frendly and ready to help for everything. Highly recomended. Small, top location, good breakfest, very personal, 10/10 points.

This graceful hotel has two excellent attributes - its position close to the hippodrome and other main sights, and its very helpful staff. A small and elegantly furnished hotel, it is possibly in need of a little updating to accomodate phone chargers, etc., but overall is a comfortable home from home. With good access to shops and restaurants and a team ready to help at a moment's notice, it is an ideal place to stay.

The hotel was amazing! Staff were very helpful and wanted to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was delicious as was the service. We would recommend staying here to everyone. The location was perfect and you could walk to all the the main sights. The beds were the best we have ever slept in on holiday. Bilal was amazingly helpful as were other members of staff too! This was a lovely hotel in a perfect location. The hotel was very quiet and the staff were amazingly helpful in every way they could be. The decor is lovely with the additional historic exhibits adding to the whole feel of the place. Breakfast was plentiful with a good range of dishes and the service provided by the waiting staff was amazing! My only ****** would be that the hotel was very hot and we had to sleep with the windows open as the aircon didn't seem to make any difference (this was a bit noisy with all the seagulls), but this in no way spoiled our stay. Ten minutes from all the major sites of Istanbul - perfect! Thank you to the manager and all his staff for making our stay wonderful.

We absolutely loved the decor which is so authentic, we knew we were in Istanbul rather than staying in a big chain hotel where you could literally be anywhere. The furnishings are lovely and the rooms are very spacious. The staff are amazing, they cannot do enough for you and are so generous and hospitable. The location is spot on for all the attractions in Sultanahmet and only a 10 minute walk to the tram station for other areas. Highly recommended and I will definitely be going back.

Stayed at this lovely boutique hotel for a sightseeing trip lasting four days. The hotel is a tribute to the commitment of the owners and staff. They could not have been more helpful. The hotel is in a wonderful spot to visit all the sights Istanbul has to offer. The staff are very warm and friendly. I’d love to go back to see more of the things we didn’t have time for on this trip. Many thanks to Eresin Hotel. Sultanahmet.
