The hotel is great and room is big for our family of 3 adults. All the facilities are good and the food is good (both dinner and breakfast). The only compliant that I have is that the in room onsan does not work. The temperature wasn't hot enough the first night. When we wanted to try in the morning, the water is even cooler. The front desk agreed to have it checked, but at the time we check out at 10 a.m. it is still not hot enough. In all, we have been chraged for the in room onsan which does not really work.

We stayed at Akazawa onsen hotel, a hotel owned by a DHC, a big cosmetic & health company in Japan, for my b-day celebration, and this hotel met all my expectations. From the sanitation, cleanliness of the room, the tasty food they serve, the accommodating staff members, the huge onsen,(public bath), gym, jacuzzi spa, with dry and mist sauna, they also have a bowling alley, not to mention they're using DHC products for their toiletries and the amenities you need. But most of all, the impeccable design of the hotel itself has impressed me a lot! This is definitely the hotel I will come back to and I will never get tired of staying in, especially in the summertime & winter season.

We had an amazing time in this great Ryokan! The staff is great, the food is delicious and hot tubs super/very clean. We spent 2 weeks in Japan and our 4-night at Yokikan offered calm, relaxing and reinvigorating time in this traditional Japanese hotel, perfect for the family. Ito is also a beautiful city to visit. The hotel owners (husband and wife) are amazing and the staff too. We will go back for sure.... See attached a nice picture from an hiking activity to Mount Omuro we did during our stay.... beautiful!

A very nice stay if you choose the traditional tatami + futon room, NOT the ”western” room - that's a cramped hole on a gloomy exit staircase, separated from other rooms with a heavy door and outdoor hallway, no shower and wifi didn't work there - a big mistake to book it; we were lucky that it was possible to change it for a traditional room - spacious, light, with a shower and much more comfort, good wifi - even though it costs slightly more, it was worth it. The onsen is lovely though old, the staff very nice, the breakfast room elegant and pleasant. It is good to speak a little Japanese. Walkable distance from the station. An affordable choice if you want to make trips in the area.

When I arrive at the front door of the hotel, there is no guidance and we have to carry out heavy luggage to walk up the stairs. Meanwhile, no staff helps us at all. After that, there is no staff to greet us when we go inside the lobby of the hotel. Being a superior hotel, I don’t expect that we need to stand in front of the check in counter during check in. After several minutes, we finally being assigned to sit for the check in process. As it’s pricy of this hotel, there are many many choices with excellent service and food if you pay such amount or even cheaper.

清潔な温泉、特に露天風呂が気持ち良い。 朝夕の食事も美味しく、値段もリーズナブル。 高級旅館ではないが、静かで一人旅にも適した昔ながらの温泉旅館。 Clean and comfortable rotenburo onsen ( outdoor hot spring) made me relax well. Japanese style Breakfast and Dinner brought to room was fresh and yummy. Not high end but have old traditional Japanese onsen ryokan style. Suitable for single traveler who wants to enjoy calm and relaxing time.

The hotel is located right opposite to a memorial park for WIlliam Adams / Anjin, who was someone significant to Japanese history. His stories were told every night at the hotel to let the guests know more about him. The hotel was cruise ship-themed because of this too. Interesting design and cozy rooms. Both breakfast and dinner were included in the booking and the food was up to standard. What's valued most was their friendly and attentive staff. Their hospitality made our stay pleasant. In particular, one of the staff at the restaurant 高木 was very friendly, professional and attentive to details. We were travelling with our 14-month old toddler who was a bit upset and cried loudly during dinner. Sadly and ridiculously, we were complained by another group of hotel guests who shared the same dining room with us. They told the staff that our toddler was VERY DISTRUBING (and wished us to mute him like we could magically do it with a button) but ironically, they talked so loudly among themselves that I could hear their conversation loud and clear throughout the dinner. The way Ms 高木 handled their complaint was very professional. We highly appreciated her efforts, friendliness and understanding towards our kids.

PPengguna TetamuI am not exaggerating when I say this is the greatest place I have ever been in my life. A friend recommended Hanafubuki to me, and I have made a point to tell everyone I know about it. The below is long, but worth reading I promise! It's located a ways outside of Tokyo on the Ito Peninsula, and there were almost no other tourists there. Half of the guests staying there were themselves Japanese. It was very nice as a reprieve from the bustle of Tokyo. The grounds themselves are gorgeous, like out of a storybook, the onsen hotsprings are amazing (but very hot!) and there is no time limit to use them. They each have a light outside that will be on if they are in use, so it's very easy to tell which are available. They are also private, so if you are with the other gender or have tattoos you can still use them, unlike some of the public onsens in Japan. We chose to stay in a traditional Japanese-style room, which involves sleeping on tatami mats on the ground. This was much more comfortable than I expected! The food was amazing, I still cannot believe that much food was included in the nightly price. The price included a delicious and very hearty breakfast (we chose the European-style, but there is also Japanese-style with fish) and a Kaiseki dinner, which is a traditional Japanese meal with around 10 courses. It was a tremendous amount of food but also the presentation was stunning and it tasted like we'd paid $200 for the meal. We still can't get over how wonderful it was. I also got a massage, which was one of the best massages I've ever had. The staff in general was incredibly kind and hospitable. Since this is located outside of Tokyo, be prepared that not everyone speaks English but it wasn't an issue at all and they were all lovely. You can stay here all day without leaving and be perfectly happy, but there is also a nice hike to a suspension bridge by the ocean nearby, as well as a teddy bear museum! We live in California but would come back here as soon as we are physically able to. 10/10.
PPengguna TetamuThe room is neat! Enough amenities for backpack travelers. The nice host is fluent in English and can speak some Chinese, and is also willing to offer on-demand free rides to the train station (call beforehand).
CcometdebrisRooms are all condominium style, complete with living room, bedroom, 2 Japanese style rooms, kitchen, and bathroom. There's plenty of room for one or even 2 families. Buildings and rooms are clearly showing signs of age, beds need replacement, floors and bath are quite dirty. Rooms on the first floor open up to a nice yard, perfect for kids, I believe it's also possible to barbecue. Service is incredibly stingy. You're only provided with one bath towel and washcloth for the length of your stay. If you'd like a clean towel, you need to return to the front desk to request one every day. No hand towels for bathroom or kitchen. Also, soap, shampoo, and dish soap containers are barely filled and all ran out quickly. Dishes and cookware are provided, spoons but no forks (???), and microwaves are limited and provided on a first come first serve basis. Bed making is only upon request. Location is very convenient if you have a car, it's about 10 minutes to the nearest train station, 5 minutes to the convenience store, 15 minutes or so to the supermarket, 10 minutes to Granpal Park and Izu Cactus Park. If you like walks or hiking, there are two lakes within walking distance with trails. I would advise staying here only if the price is right. The hotel charges per person and I wouldn't recommend paying over ten thousand yen per room per night maximum.
