The room is small by western standards, no closet and very little room to move around. But the thermostat works well during cold weather and adjusts to a very comfortable 72 F (22.2 C). I found just enough room in desk area and bathroom to store daily living essentials. There are hangers on the wall that you can hang a jacket or two and a couple of shirts or trousers. It is adequate for extended living if you don't mind living out of your suit case (I had two one large and one carry-on). If there are two travelers I would recommend renting two rooms, it's just too crowded for more than one person.

9月 の4連休に周防大島を歩く計画を直前に立てました。島内の宿泊施設は満室の日もあり、近隣の柳井市も満室。それで岩国市にしました。Go To キャンペーン中でとても安く泊まることができました。岩国駅から徒歩数分の距離でしたが、駐車場が無料なのはうれしかったです。部屋は11階建ての６階で、展望も少しききます。広さは14m2位で、1人なら問題ないですね。ホテルは新しくはないですが、清潔感はありました。お風呂のカランは旧式なもので、少し懐かしい感じでした。朝食が6時からは嬉しかったです。内容はなかなかよいです。価格が低く抑えられ、地方のビジネスホテルとして、十分に合格レベルだと思います。

広島焼と工事の終わった宮島の鳥居を目的に行きました。 施設は新しく駐車場も広く、特に露天風呂が広く、景色がすごく良くよかったです。 部屋もデラックスルームは広く、のんびり過ごせました。 母体がビジネスホテルの有名なところなのでスマホの充電のコンセントやWIFI環境などもしっかりしています。従業員の方も気持ちいい接客でした。 お風呂場のシャンプーバーなど子供や主人も楽しんでました。 お風呂上がりのビールやアイスのサービスもいいんですがそこに人が群がりすぎて、見ていて高級施設感が。。。でしたが。 後、夕食のバイキングの料理のおかずが少なく、主人が食べるものがないとぼやいていました。お酒もフリードリンクだったのでが、主人はお酒が飲めずなので、満足しなかったようです。広島名物の蛎料理があればよかったように思います。 朝食はご飯のお供も多く満足でしたが、夕食朝食共に天婦羅があったので、それも飽きてしまいました。夕食は宮島のお土産で食べて朝食のみで宿泊すれば満足がいったように思います。 予約制ですが屋形船のような船で宮島まで送迎してくれたり、フリードリンクだったりとサービスを頑張ってるホテルでした。

昨日、宮島観光にて。 夜７時頃、食事を終えて家族で近くを散策中に旦那のお腹の調子が悪くなり来館。 失礼を承知の上、周りは空いている所がほとんどなくやっとの思いで明るい食事処を発見。旦那がすがる思いで、御手洗いを貸していただけないかと聞いたところ、どうやら外を案内されたようで走って行った。 私は4歳の娘がいるので後からゆっくり追った。しかし、街灯はなく暗い中だいぶ歩いたが旦那はいない。トイレも見当たらないまま、先程トイレを探した道に逆戻りしたよう。4歳の娘、暗いしパパはいないしで半べそ。とりあえず、水羽荘へ。 先程、トイレを聞いた旦那をどこに案内したのか聞こうと、娘とまただいぶ歩いて戻った。 すると、年配で化粧しっかりめの女性が応対。橋を渡った所にあるから案内したと。探したけど会わなかったと伝えたが、冷めた態度。 こちらも失礼は承知だが、暗闇の中4歳の娘とまた探すと想像して私はあの応対は出来ないと思う。冷たい人と感じた。が、自分の宿のお客が降りて来たら態度を変え優しく応対。正直、こわさを感じた。娘と２人もう１度探しに。 結局、また見つからず携帯の充電も切れていたのでもとに戻った。娘は帰りたいと言いながらパパを探してくれてた。街灯がなく私でもこわかった。戻ったら、パパも探していた。ホッとした。 いきさつをお互い話したら、パパも橋を渡った所にあるだけ言われ漏れそうだったので必死で探したそう。が、右側(娘と探した方)はなく走って左側に行ってみたと。私達は左側は海辺の方で本当に不気味で行かなかった方だ。すると、小さな小屋みたいなのがありそれがトイレだったそう。暗くてひどかったようだ。旦那もさすがにあそこは案内するにはひどいと感じたようだ。明るいならまだしも暗闇の中だ。とりあえず、合流出来て解決したが、あまりにひどい対応だったので宿の口コミが気になり見てみた。なんと、三つ星ホテル。評価も高かった。なんか、さらに残念な気持ちになった。宿泊客にだけ対応が良いのは良いことなのか、私は違うと思うので口コミしている。 ここでの対応がまた次の観光へ繋がるし、対応が良ければ泊まってみたいとなる。 旦那とあの宿には泊まる事はないねと話した。たかが一家族かもしれないが、大切。コロナで私達家族も久しぶりの旅行。県外から来て、人の温かさにもたくさんふれた。しかし、このような冷たさにもふれた。 もし、宿の方が見たら今一度接客を考えてほしい。

今回初めて利用させていただきました。 厳島神社、平和公園観光 ホテルも口コミででんしの音が気になっら方と書いてありましたさほど苦になりませんでした♪ 友達もこんな快適ホテル初めてと喜んでくれました♪ お値段以上の満足度でした♪ またの機会あれば利用したいと思います。

I first visited Miyijima in 2011, as a day trip from Hiroshima (like most people). This time I knew I wanted to stay for a couple of nights on the island - which proved to be a great decision as the island is so enchanting in the evening once most of the tourists have gone back to the mainland. Most of the accommodations on the island are Japanese in style, and so it’s an obvious place to get the full Japanese experience. Unfortunately I struggled a bit to find somewhere to book, as many traditional-style places don’t accept solo travellers, however the Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto did and so I booked it. I booked a Japanese/western style room, which had twin beds plus a large tatami mat area where additional guests could sleep on futons. The room was large, although the bathroom was very small. My room came with a large outside balcony area (by the looks of it only a couple of rooms get this - it’s not the norm) with a swing seat overlooking a side view to the Tori gate. This was a really lovely place to sit in the evenings. The staff were very helpful, and I had a lovely personal and detailed introduction to the room, which can’t have been easy for them to do in English! One of the main features of a ryokan-style stay is the food, which is plentiful, extravagant, intricate and (to us westerners) very unusual. They accommodated my request for no shellfish with no issues. You have to be a bit of an adventurous eater (by western standards) as many of the flavours and textures are very unusual. Not all were to my taste, which is to be expected, but regardless the meal was a fantastic experience that I will never forget. The second night was a completely different menu, which they tailored to my request to include more meat (the Hiroshima beef was delicious). I was served by some lovely ladies who explained each of the 12 courses to me. The Japanese breakfast is similarly extravagant, although I did opt for the western breakfast on my second day which was lovely. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a traditional ryokan-style experience on the island. I would certainly return to it.

We traveled in a party of 4, with 2 adults and 2 children. The ryokan is excellent, but I used previous ryokan experience in Japan (Takayama, Shirakawa, etc) as a reference to my grades. The GOOD: extremely polite and helpful staff. Location in the woods, a 10-minute walk from Itsukishima Shrine and the ropeway. Impeccable cleanliness and organization. Food in dinner and breakfast were very good, with amazing presentation (they serve fixed courses included in the price). Onsen (common) was also good and highly recommended - they explain etiquette and how to use. The OK: room was comfortable and we slept on the tatame (they make de futton beds for you during dinner). The ”BAD”: all in all, this ryokan is extremely pricey, since it's located in an island with few options and has historical value. The experience is good, but we expected more.

I highly recommend this ryokan for the exceptional experience including great food, staff & room. My room was a traditional ryokan room with tatami matts but with traditional mattresses. It overlooked the the pedestrian street but was very quiet at night since most tourists visit Miyajima as a daytrip. The staff was gracious enough to setup a futon for me on the tatami matt so that I could sleep traditional Japanese style. Haruka at the front desk was amazing. She speaks limited English but enough to communicate with. She wrote me a very sweet handwritten note that I will keep forever when I asked where I could buy a yukata robe. I had asked her where I could purchase a yukata (traditional Japanese robe). The presentation of the dinner was amazing and worth it. The on-site onsen was was great and was usually all to myself. It has one indoor pool along with a small one on the outdoor deck that overlooks the bay and torii gate. Upon checkout, Haruka escorted me out which I believe is typical of a ryokan. It was sad to leave because of how memorable the stay was! The ryokan was expensive but worth it for the experience. I can't imagine visiting Miyajima only as a day trip. It would be too rushed as there's plenty to do for 2 days. Must sees are the torii gate along with the shrine surrounding it, taking the ropeway up to Mt. Misen (the top of the mountain is about a 20-30 minute steep hike from the end of the ropeway but I recommend it), and finally definitely do not miss Daishoin shrine which was truly amazing. Recommend avoiding Saturday & Sundays as it's very, very crowded.

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.

На Миядзима все закрывается довольно рано- на первом этаже в отеле стоят автоматы с водой, холодными напитками, пивом, что было очень удобно. Также работает баня до 12 ночи!
