Scottish Inn Downtown Jacksonville

Very run down, mold, dirt and old food, holes in the sheets... just gross!

When I got up in the night there were bugs crawling along bathroom floor and walls. Room heater/cooler fan was incredibly loud, had to turn it off so I could sleep.

The check in person was nice but he keeps putting me in the same room. Inside the room smelled bad and they half clean the room because they do not clean the bathtub and when it was time to check out, the housekeeper told me that I couldn't come back

PLEASE IF YOU CAN DONT GO TO THIS PLACE THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA SHOULD SHUT DOWN THIS SLUM THEY GAVE ME ROOM WHERE THE DOOR GOT STUCK CLOSED AND THEY HAD TO GET A MASTER KEY TO GET IN THE ROOM AND SWITCHED ME TO ANOTHER PLACE WITH NO TOLIT SEAT

Not in great condition Many Broken And damaged or worn furniture pieces. Switched rooms twice the neighbors were loud obnoxiously and the roaches. Price not worth the stay but it’s better than outside I guess right??? :-)

This is a strange review because I didn't actually stay there. I've been on a budget and am just starting a new job who had a new employee conference in Jacksonville. I snagged the room on ******* because of the great price (non-refundable). I am unfamiliar with the area so I figured it was as good a place as any... Afterward, I thought I would check out the reviews- What I read was horrifying! When I reluctantly showed the reviews to my fiance, he went straight to Walmart and bought me a knife and pepper spray before he would let me stay there. Even after that, he begged me to just take the monetary loss and stay somewhere else. Even though I hate to waste money, I decided he was right and I booked another room somewhere else. It turns out this was definitely the right decision. When I told this story to the Jacksonville people at the conference- they all had their own horror stories to back up all of those dreadful reviews. So, my one star rating is because the Scottish Inn's reputation was so horrible that I wound up paying for another place to stay in addition to the money I already lost by booking with them in the first place.Of course, this wound up costing me way more than I can afford. Still, I don't regret my decision.

didn't like the conditions of the room and bed was uncomfortable and smell like **** in the room I'll nrver go back

I liked that I got new towels and sheets everyday, I didn't like the spiders in the corners of the room, the walls looking like the place is going to collapse, the room smelling like mold and mildew, the ************ walking around the hotel yelling, making noise, blasting music at 2 in the morning, and there were no toiletries other than soap.
